- Clover Love Lykoi - 08-14-2010
For Miss Alaine and her little Romeo! Dated for the 13th, if that's alright. Making her way from Drifter Bay, Clover had spent much of her morning in Halifax. As the first rays of light broke over the horizon, the young coyote awoke finding that she was just unable to cling to sleep any longer. She didn’t mind, however, for she was happy to have just that many more hours of sunlight to be able to go out and explore. She had brought her knapsack with her in case she found anything intriguing, but had left all her other possessions behind for the most part. She had, like usual, clad herself in the familiar denim jeans, jewelry, and white headband and set out from the bay while she hummed away the morning hours. After exploring for quite some time, Clover decided to venture further south to the shattered coast where she had once met a young man with a bird companion. She had always thought that place was rather beautiful and so once again humming, she made her way out of the city. When she found a place deemed suitable, Clover spread out the purple tapestry she had hidden away in her knapsack and settled down onto it. Perhaps she’d end up swimming for awhile to cool down in the heat of the day, but Clover had every intention of bathing in the sun for awhile. She absolutely loved the way the warmth of the rays seemed to get trapped in her tawny fur, like an invisible blanket. Clover lie on her back, arms stretched up over her head and eyes closed. It didn’t take long for the sun to smother her in radiating warmth and Clover mistakenly found herself being lured to sleep by both the sound of the lulling waves and the comfortable heat. .clover-ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; letter-spacing:1px; } .clover p {padding:0px 15px 5px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .clover b {color:#D09E00;} .clover {background-color:#A54527; background-image:url(); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #FFFFFF; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#000000; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:13px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } .clover-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } </style>
- Caillen Winters - 08-14-2010
Table © Gen

I enjoy your writing as well! It wasn’t long that Clover had been lying there before sleep stole her away from reality. She hadn’t meant for her closed eyes to allow her to slip away, but serene state of comfort had coaxed her. In dream land she was back with Juniper Peace, frolicking as a youngster among the large group of hippies. The sound of music filled the air, accompanied by the rich voices and laughter and the sweet smell of cannabis. Her own straw colored eyes met with olive green and the young coyote’s heart seemed to race beneath her ribs. It was a hopeless crush, she knew, but Clover couldn’t help the warm, childish feelings that circulated through her body. And then, her dream was broken away and the olive green of his eyes seemed to vanish. A voice, distant and yet so clear, seemed to be summoning Clover back to reality. And just like that, she was awake again. Straw eyes blinked the rays of sun that seemed to blind as Clover peered towards the owner of the voice. One hand rose to block the sun, and Clover lifted herself into a sitting position, all the while taking in the view of the young man that stood near her. "Oh, sorry love. I musta fallen asleep." She dropped her hand from blocking the sun and ran it through her walnut hair, combing out any tangles with her fingertips. Eyes, however, never left the boy as she studied his unusual and yet handsome coloring. "Please, sit. Make yourself comfortable," her features soft as she spoke and her other hand gesturing towards the tapestry splayed beneath her. "What’s your name, love?" .clover-ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; letter-spacing:1px; } .clover p {padding:0px 15px 5px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .clover b {color:#D09E00;} .clover {background-color:#A54527; background-image:url(); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #FFFFFF; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#000000; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:13px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } .clover-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } </style>
- Caillen Winters - 08-18-2010
Table © Gen

Straw eyes studied him in silence for a few moments before he spoke, and Clover noted the lovely way the coloring of his fur seemed to create a perfect harmony. She couldn’t exactly put her finger on it, but there was something strangely inviting about the synchronization of slate and white. "The pleasure is mine, Caillen," Clover responded, eyes drifting from his frame to find the cool blue of his gaze. "It’s always nice to run into another kind heart." She knew all too well what he meant about running into those who were less than kind – she had faced those sorts of people more and more since her departure from Juniper Peace. "My name is Clover Love," soft reply once again leaving behind the surname she had been given as a child. In Juniper Peace everyone knew of one another, so first names were all that was necessary. Perhaps those she encountered would just assume that Love was the surname, and not her second first name. Clover herself was a fan of that name, since it was one of the values that defined her very existence – one of the essential teachings of Juniper Peace. "This is gorgeous, love. Did you make it?" A slender hand reached out, fingers brushing over the scarf that adorned his neck. Not many Luperci took to wearing human clothing, but Clover always found her hips cover by the denim of her jean shorts. Whenever she found anyone else covered in the fabric of the long dead humans, she was instantly intrigued. The material was soft under her finger tips and Clover smiled as she looked up from the scarf to meet his bright eyes. .clover-ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; letter-spacing:1px; } .clover p {padding:0px 15px 5px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .clover b {color:#D09E00;} .clover {background-color:#A54527; background-image:url(); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #FFFFFF; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#000000; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:13px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } .clover-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } </style>
- Caillen Winters - 08-26-2010
Table © Gen

She smiled gently, the soft flush of rose finding her cheeks underneath the veil of tawny fur. Luckily for her, he would not see that she felt somewhat coy in his presence; her light-hearted chattiness would see to concealing any bashful feelings she held. "Why thank you, Caillen," she responded just as softly, glad to hear he enjoyed it just as much as she did. Out of all of her siblings, Clover felt privileged for being chosen to carry such an important second name. Love was such a powerful thing and she did her best to serve the name its justice. As her fingertips moved gently over the fabric, the boy’s frame seemed to stiffen beneath her. Though often times Clover over stepped the personal boundary many people invisibly established, she never really understood what she had breached. However, Clover became painfully aware of his body language and instantly felt a little more self conscious. She let her fingers fall away then, leaning back away from him to rest gently with her legs folded beneath her. "Oh yes, those human places seem to always have interesting things," she agreed, noticing the stutter that broke up his words. Though Clover was sure she could pick up on some embarrassment he felt, she thought that the slight speech impediment was rather cute, and smiled genuinely back at him. "Aww, well thanks so much, Caillen. You are too kind, really." He sure was cute, and he offered a compliment that had truly made Clover blush. Once again, she was thankful for the veil of tawny fur to hide these things from him. "So, what’s a handsome guy like you doing out here? Do you live near here?" She was always to curious to find out which packs her acquaintances hailed from. Eventually, Clover was sure she’d enter the ranks of one of the groups in the area; she just wasn’t sure yet. .clover-ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; letter-spacing:1px; } .clover p {padding:0px 15px 5px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .clover b {color:#D09E00;} .clover {background-color:#A54527; background-image:url(); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #FFFFFF; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#000000; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:13px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } .clover-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } </style>
- Caillen Winters - 09-09-2010
Table © Gen

However Clover didn’t mind the silence that fell between them. Instead, she took to opportunity to let straw colored eyes dance over his unusual, yet gorgeous appearance. She just didn’t understand how one could be made with such colors in perfect harmony – he was a lucky boy to possess such natural attractiveness. Though she had pulled away, sitting again on legs crossed underneath her small frame, there was some compulsion for her to reach out again and instead let her fingertips gently brush along the slate blue and cream. Somehow, it all seemed so inviting and Clover had to fight the strange impulse to cuddle close to him. Finally, it seemed as if the youth had decided on words, and Clover’s attention was stolen from his appearance. She concentrated on the meaning, smiling softly as he stuttered once more, and generally appreciated the hint of an accent his words carried. She had heard of the pack he spoke of before but she had never wandered to its borders. Perhaps one day she might find herself there, but it had never really crossed her mind as a travel destination. For now, it seemed as Clover had stuck to rather simple, familiar routes. "Oh, did you leave for good, love? Or is it just a little journey?" If he was a loner now like she was, then Clover thought that perhaps she’d invite him to stay with her. After all, the boy would need a place to sleep at night, and it would be nice not to be alone. "I’m from a small group of lovely people known as Juniper Peace, though I’ve left them now. I came here in search of my siblings, but I haven’t found any of them. Right now I just live on my own, though I’ve heard rumors that my dad lives in one the places nearby." She was afraid to go into specifics, in case she might say something wrong. Clover by no means knew a lot about the area, but she was starting to catch the subtle hints that perhaps Inferni wasn’t held in everyone’s highest regard. .clover-z91 .ooc {font-style:italic; } .clover-z91 p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .clover-z91 b {color:#FFD947; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .clover-z91 {background-color:#9E6115; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010j ... ergift.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:345px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #FFD947; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#D29930; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:400px; text-align:justify; border-radius:10px; -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; } .clover-z91-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; border-radius:10px; -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -moz-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -webkit-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A;} </style>
- Caillen Winters - 10-14-2010
Table © Gen

His gaze had been diverted away, most likely absentmindedly studying the scenery, but Clover’s did not leave him now. She wondered what the boy’s story was, and it took her a few moments to detangle his words and truly appreciate their meaning. At the same time, she again wondered about the origin of his curious style of speech. The cool colored eyes flicked back to her when she spoke of Juniper Peace. At his questions, Clover merely shrugged. In some ways, she didn’t know her father. There was still much about him that she needed to learn, though she wasn’t sure if Razekiel would be willing to tell. "I’ve meet him before, if that’s what you mean. He lived in Juniper Peace for awhile, before he came to this area." Things she didn’t know about him was what scared her the most. Was Razekiel a murderer, as some had suggested? Clover just couldn’t bring herself to blame him for the death of her sister, even if he had disappeared from the group the same night. She just didn’t want to accept that he was capable of such a thing. Caillen’s next question brought her away from her thoughts, though, and Clover was grateful for that. If her mind remained on the tangent idea of her deceased sister for too long, she was sure tears would begin to spring forth. "A couple of months now." She had arrived in Nova Scotia in the month of May, and had been floating around ever since. She just couldn’t bring herself to seek out Razekiel, and yet she couldn’t leave either. For now, she remained rooted to the area and continued to live alone in Drifter Bay. It was so vastly different from Juniper Peace that Clover often found herself bored literally to tears when there was no one around to converse with. "It gets lonely, love." She didn’t mean it as a warning, but perhaps in some ways it was. .clover-z91 .ooc {font-style:italic; } .clover-z91 p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .clover-z91 b {color:#FFD947; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .clover-z91 {background-color:#9E6115; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010j ... ergift.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:345px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #FFD947; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#D29930; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:400px; text-align:justify; border-radius:10px; -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; } .clover-z91-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; border-radius:10px; -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -moz-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -webkit-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A;} </style>
- Caillen Winters - 10-29-2010
Table © Gen

Clover was a social creature – not one meant to be alone like this for as long as she had. Somehow she had managed to survive so far, but it had begun to wear on her. She wouldn’t be able to stand this kind of life for much longer. And she definitely wouldn’t wish something like that on someone as kind and sweet as Caillen. His soft voice brought her attention back to the present. Darkened ears turned to catch the words that followed her name, while straw colored eyes danced upon the hands that fiddled with the checkered scarf before rising to find that calming blue. What came was a request, and Clover was somewhat surprised by his words. He wanted to do something for her? But why? She hadn’t done anything except for sit and talk with him. Still, she couldn’t help but smile lovingly back at the boy, for it was such a grand gesture. Surely she didn’t deserve such kindness, but it was a lovely remainder of home and so she clung to it. "Oh, Caillen," her voice soft as it drifted on the coattails of a sigh. A hand reached out, gently finding the side of his face before slowly scooping under his jaw to turn his head just so. Leaning forward to close the gap of space between them, Clover planted a soft kiss on the boy’s cheek before she let herself fall away again. "You’re such a lovely boy," and the girl’s features seemed to beam with the radiance of a bright smile. "I would love that." .clover-z91 .ooc {font-style:italic; } .clover-z91 p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .clover-z91 b {color:#FFD947; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .clover-z91 {background-color:#9E6115; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010j ... ergift.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:345px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #FFD947; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#D29930; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:400px; text-align:justify; border-radius:10px; -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; } .clover-z91-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; border-radius:10px; -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -moz-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -webkit-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A;} </style>
- Caillen Winters - 11-05-2010
Table © Gen

That adorable stutter returned to his words, and it seemed impossible for Caillen to express what he was thinking. Clover just merely sat and smiled, somewhat pleased she was able to have this affect on him (though not in a manipulative way). Somehow, he seemed energized by her action. The boy was quick to jump to his feet, and with grace that seemed otherwise unlikely for someone of his size. He offered a clawed hand to Clover, and she gratefully accepted and was easily lifted to her feet. Once up, the girl stooped to gather the purple tapestry into her arms. What could she have him do? Had they been closer to her little shack, she would have perhaps had him help her with something there. But the two were situated along the Shattered Coast, and Drifter Bay was still quite a little trek away. There were several things she thought she could ask of him that wouldn’t be too difficult, such as maybe collecting some firewood or even hunting something for food, but in the end she’d still have to cart it back to her home. Would it be too much to ask him to come along with her? She surely wouldn’t be able to carry such things herself, but his size could be of great aid. And yet, if he did come with her, wouldn’t it just be easier to have him do a small task or two once there? Clover really wasn’t sure what to ask of him. "Hmm, why I don’t know for sure, love." Straw eyes danced around the scenery, as if looking for the answer there. When nothing came to her, she lifted her gaze back to the cool blue she already loved so much. "Would you like to spend the night with me?" She asked, oblivious to any connotation it might carry. "I think I could have some great use for you around my home, if you didn’t mind walking with me there. It’s a bit of ways, though." Darkened eyes drooped slightly to her skull, embarrassed to have to ask such a thing of him. But really, Clover was at a loss of what else she could ask of him. Was this going too far? Had she stretched his invitation farther than he had meant it? .clover-t49 .ooc {font-style:italic; } .clover-t49 p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .clover-t49 b {color:#EAA810; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .clover-t49 {background-color:#331500; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/Hogwarts/gifts/20 ... rtable.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:255px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #EAA810; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#974F0C; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:425px; text-align:justify; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5px; } .clover-t49-border {width:427px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5x; box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -moz-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -webkit-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A;} </style>
- Caillen Winters - 11-20-2010
table © Alaine ooc: sorry for the quick reply, thought I'd pop one in before I left for the week X3
- Clover Love Lykoi - 11-30-2010
I figured we can fast-foward to where they are at her shack? :o The silence that fell after her request made Clover want to grimace, but delicate features remained balanced as she waited eagerly for his reply. She was almost sure she had gone past the acceptable distance of his invitation, and thus couldn’t bring herself to let straw eyes study his features. When he turned her down, she couldn’t bear to see the cold stone rejection in those vibrant eyes of his. When he first begun to speak, and the words of hesitation were mumbled past parted teeth, Clover’s darkened ears began to fall against her skull. She had been stupid to think he would want to travel such a long distance with her, only then to perform whatever task she asked of him. Of course he would say no. "O-of course!" Straw gold eyes lifted, tentatively searching the large boy’s features for a hint of sarcasm, or anything that might betray his words. Of course, she found none and Clover was instantly soothed. Ears sailed to the air again as her features lit up, the smile returning. He had decided to come, even though her proposal had been ludicrous. "Really? Great!" Her fingers played at the edges of the purple fabric held in her arms, as her eyes searched the area around them. She had to make sure she wasn’t leaving anything behind. At his offer, Clover handed over the bundled up tapestry. "Thanks, Caillen. That’s really sweet of you." She turned to grab her small knapsack, before slinging it over her shoulder. Now that her things were gathered, they were ready to head back to Drifter Bay. "Wonderful! It’s this way, love," she chimed, heading off in the relative direction of the city. By scooting just north of it, they would cut some time and hopefully be back to Clover’s little shack in no time. .clover-t49 .ooc {font-style:italic; } .clover-t49 p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .clover-t49 b {color:#EAA810; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .clover-t49 {background-color:#331500; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010o ... rtable.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:255px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #EAA810; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#974F0C; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:425px; text-align:justify; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5px; } .clover-t49-border {width:427px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5x; box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -moz-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -webkit-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A;} </style>
- Caillen Winters - 12-01-2010
table © Alaine ooc: no problemo. hope I did it right!
- Clover Love Lykoi - 12-15-2010
Thanks for putting up with me and my constant slowness. I really enjoy your writing, as well as this thread! <3 I also just noticed that it's from wayyy back in August, coincidentally on the night before Clover's birthday. Now if only they had party hats. XD From the moment the young coyote had laid eyes on the mottled blue boy, he had been nothing but sweet and generous towards her. She couldn’t have imagined that their interaction along the coast would have led them here, but it seemed so easy and natural that it had. They both seemed to be rather optimistic, upbeat souls, and that was something Clover had begun to realize was hard to find in this world. Caillen made Clover feel as if she were back home in Juniper Peace again, and their rather long walk from the coast to her shack in Drifter bay was something so serene she could hardly put it into words. He wouldn’t ever realize how much this meant to her, even though it was something so simple. Today, the little girl’s heart had been eased and she didn’t feel so plagued by the knowledge that she was rather alone in the world. He had been too kind to her, and she appreciated every moment of it. The boy was quick to jump to her aid, without her having to mumble a word. Of course, she was not as fragile as some of his actions made her out to be, but she smiled at his intentions anyhow. At the sound of his interestingly accented voice, Clover chimed back, "Mm?" He posed a reasonable question, one which Clover wasn’t sure how to answer. Perhaps it was good of him to ask, for she’d have to think of her options sooner or later. "Well, I don’t really know, love." Her darkened ears fell somewhat closer to burnt orche hair, and Clover let her pale straw gaze find the bulky form of the boy. "I might decide to stay where he is living, if it’s not too far from here. Just so I wouldn’t have to be alone. But," there were many things that remained unanswered which would also sway her decision, "maybe I would stay here." They had arrived, it seemed, and the woods were beginning to thin all while the small outline of her shack was coming into view. She had hardly noticed before, but the sun had sunk low in the sky and begun to paint the clouds in brilliant magenta and gold. It would be dark soon, and Clover hoped Caillen might be able to collect some firewood before night fell. "It’s not much, but its home for now," she chimed softly, hoping he wasn’t used to something much grander than this. "Let me put my things inside, and then we can start a fire?" She looked up towards the boy’s brilliant eyes expectantly, a soft smile finding her mouth. Somehow she knew that they would have a rather lovely time. .clover-t49 .ooc {font-style:italic; } .clover-t49 p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .clover-t49 b {color:#EAA810; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .clover-t49 {background-color:#331500; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010o ... rtable.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:265px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #EAA810; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#974F0C; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:425px; text-align:justify; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5px; } .clover-t49-border {width:427px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5x; box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -moz-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -webkit-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A;} </style>
- Caillen Winters - 12-19-2010
table © Alaine ooc: honestly, it's not a problem to me at all. you give fair warning that you might not be able to post often, and that's respectable enough :3 besides, I love RPing with you, darlin' <3 awww, caillen, you should have baked her a cake! moron *swats him*
