- Raphaël Savage - 03-13-2008
Character Name: Raphaël Savage
Raphaël was, by his standards, a prime example of why never to judge a book by its cover. A rather intimidating man in appearance when it came down to it, but hardly able to hurt a fly. Unless of course that fly had taken to buzzing obnoxiously in his ear. Such summed up Raphaël’s morals. He was never cruel unless you gave him a reason to be. No, simply misunderstood.
The young man who’d not yet reached his second birthday was on a loose mission this bright March morning. As the sun shone high in the sky, limiting the fierce cold’s ability to seize the citizens of Bleeding Souls, Raphaël continued to hike in the direction of the mountain which marked the pack of Jaded Shadows.
Born to a pack far south of the Bleeding Souls area, Raphaël had spread his wings no more than two months before, giving up his future as the heir to the pack in order to live out a less famed lifestyle. A simple man who was easy to please, Raphaël moved quickly through the area, swift on his feet as always.
Nearing the mountain now, the scents of Jaded Shadows drifted to his nose. He’d sought advice from his grandmother before leaving otherwise unannounced; who had told him of the area and had recommended Jaded Shadows, for it was the only pack whose name had not escaped her, having once traveled through the area many years before.
Stopping abruptly at the border, the man distanced himself slightly to assure that his arrival was not taken offensively. He’d finally arrived, now there was nothing more to do than wait. - Tayui Aston - 03-13-2008

- Raphaël Savage - 03-13-2008
Thank you!
Raphaël was not left alone for very long. It seemed that within moments of his approach another had reached him. Thanks to the direction in which the icy wind was blowing, Raphaël was aware that she was coming long before she did finally come. He had already labeled her a female and member of the pack due to her scent, but her appearance was yet to be shown.
Soon enough, she was visible to his golden eyes and he quickly sized her up. A proud female, mostly white with a creamy stripe and multi-colored eyes, one blue and one red. Aside from that, she seemed to be of high position in the pack, simply judging from her dominant stance and straight-to-the-point attitude. Raphaël felt her eyes on his jewelry but did not flinch, quickly working up a reply to her question. ”My name is Raphaël Savage,” he explained so that she would not have to resort to calling him stranger any longer. ”I seek to join this pack,” he claimed, smiling softly so she could see he meant no harm.
Overhead, the sun beat down, though its heat was shielded by the chilly temperatures. Raphaël’s golden eyes explored the territory and he found that once more he was waiting, this time for a reply. - Tayui Aston - 03-13-2008

- Raphaël Savage - 03-13-2008
Raphaël stood silently as the female seemed to contemplate his answer for a few seconds. She had yet to present him with her own name, though he figured he’d be given it as their conversation progressed. Raphaël was no stranger to pack customs, having belonged to one for most of his life with the last two months being an exception. He had once stood in her exact position; testing the newcomers with their thoughts and bombarding them with questions to assure that only the most worthy were accepted. And because of this, he was not surprised by the question that followed.
The wolf’s left hand rose to one of his golden earrings, rubbing it thoughtfully as had become a habit. ”Hm, well, I’m rather good with my hands,” he said, looking out past the female in concentration. ”I can fix almost anything and can build quite a few things as well. I can also tattoo and pierce along with being literate,” he continued on, trying to figure out anything else that might be of use. ”I’m also fairly good with astrology, though I wouldn’t claim to be an expert,” he said with a soft smile. Hopefully that would be satisfactory enough, for aside from the obvious hunting abilities and the like, he couldn’t think of anything else. - Tayui Aston - 03-14-2008

- Tayui Aston - 03-20-2008 If you are still interested in joining, please post your reply by March 26 or your thread will be scrapped.
