- Ruri Aceline - 09-09-2010
Here you are. It's set in Lunenburg. Not sure I like the post, but what the heck. Ruri's just doing her rounds lol Life seemed destined to keep changing for Ruri as the weeks went by. Each day further along in her pregnancy the pups got bigger, and so did Ruri. Granted the visual differences were minute at best on a day to day basis, but as the weeks had gone by the physical changes became blaringly visible. She was proud of herself, though. She seemed to be getting used to carrying the extra weight around. The Dauphine now had strategies for making her rounds, strategically planned resting spots to stop at so she did not exhaust herself. As she entered Lunenburg, she neared one such resting spot. Today she wore her white sun dress, which more or less was becoming a long maternity shawl because of her growing baby belly. However, she had wanted to wear it today, not knowing who she might run into. She really cared very little about walking around clothed or unclothed and she doubted many of her pack members really cared. She more or less dressed depending upon her mood, and today had felt like a day for some sort of clothing. The slate and ivory female dare not ask herself why or she might not have made her decision so easily. Now inside the limits of the small, rundown town of Lunenburg, Ruri found her rest stop, an old stone bench on what used to be the sidewalk of the small town. With a tiny sigh of relief Ruri slowly sat down on the bench, her plumed tail expressing her joy at being able to take a load off of her footpaws for awhile. Her feet were almost always aching when she would sit down to rest, and with the added weight of pregnancy such a thing was expected. Her aching feet were often the reason she stopped to rest in the first place, rather than exhaustion. So, with her rear firmly planted on the bench, her feet could rest, not having to carry her around for a few minutes at least. Ruri's feline companion, Soleil was nearby as always, though this time out of sight. Ruri had heard him dashing off into the brush awhile ago, guessing he had caught sight of some small creature to catch for food. He was likely still in ear shot if she were to call him, but in the back of her mind she knew he would always come find her especially if he heard her talking to someone else. He would have to come investigate. The Dauphine was actually expecting someone to walk by sooner or later. That always seemed to happen when she passed through Lunenburg. She guessed, with all the suitable denning buildings, and many of the hotel's rooms full, people were starting to seek out homes in the houses of the town. That was the logical explanation to her at least. .Ruri002 b {font-weight:bold; color:#fbef95; letter-spacing:1px; } .Ruri002ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#fbef95; text-align:right;} .Ruri002 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .Ruri002 {margin:0 auto; width:335px; background-color:#030305; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/ ... uri002.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #fbef95; padding: 210px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#bdb1c6; line-height:12px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Ever Mayawyn - 09-10-2010
Thank you, darling. Sorry this turned out so long xD 655 ======================================================
It was a crisp afternoon and the unforgiving chill of fall was carried on the wind. Leaves were already bleeding the colors of sunset and dropping like feathers on the earth. The chill had aroused the girl from her bed and she had already planned the day ahead of her. Movement quick as a squirrel, she had found a mess of a house waiting for her. Ever didn’t mind cleaning because she wasn’t asked to do so. .sun-a01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#f1b502; letter-spacing:1px; } .sun-a01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .sun-a01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .sun-a01 {margin:0 auto; width:396px; background-color:#e3f4fc; background-image:url(http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/9245/souls52.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px double #593726; padding: 10px 0px 250px 0px; font-family: cambria, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#051416; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Ruri Aceline - 09-14-2010
No worries. I should be apologizing for the delay on this reply. So...sorry ^_^ Resting regular was something that the Dauphine had yet to really get used to. Though she did enjoy briefly taking the load off her feet, it was odd just sitting still for awhile when she was supposed to be doing her rounds. It wasn't that it was a bad thing, for she certainly appreciated it. She was just having to get used to the fact that for the next few weeks she would be needing to rest more and more as the pups in her womb continued to grow. What a fascinating thing pregnancy was. It both excited and frightened the slate and ivory woman as she thought about what came with being with child. For one there had been the morning sickness, not a particularly enjoyable thing, and of course the fact that she was putting on weight which made her get tired from walking faster. That, in turn, brought about the soreness in her footpaws. It would have been easy to focus on the negatives of pregnancy if the positives did not out weigh them all. She was going to have pups, something she had wanted for as long as she could remember. She and Heath were going to be parents! They would have the chance to do what their respective, bad parents had not done, love their pups to the very fullest of their ability. That excited the collie woman the most. The blind Daupine did not have much time to dwell on these thoughts, however, as a gust of wind informed her of two approaching individuals, bringing their scents for her to analyze. One was a luperci, a pack member by the scent, and the other was an equine. She had long since learned to distinguish the unique smell that all horses carried, having spent lots of time at the stables with her mate. The possibility of company painted a smile on her lips. She had not recognized the scent of the wolf who was coming. So that meant she would have the opportunity to meet yet another pack member. There seemed to be so many of them joining these days that it was next to impossible for her to keep up. Her white-furred hands moved to rest atop her belly as she listened to the gradually approaching footsteps of the wolf and horse duo. The stranger spoke first, greeting her and then guessing her name. The blind, Border collie's smile broadened as she nodded to the other girl. "Yes, I'm Ruri. You must be one of our packs newer members. I didn't recognize your scent. That's probably my fault, though. You see, with so many members joining these days it gets hard to make sure to greet all of them as they join. I'm gradually catching up, though," she laughed, trying to start this conversation off on a humorous note. Over the course of her lifetime, the Dauphine had found that if both sides of a dialogue were enjoying themselves at the start of a conversation, then it was more likely to last for awhile. With the two fae's now conversing, another creature found his way to one of the nearby rooftops, to observe and watch over his mistress. Who other than Ruri's large, adolescent Maine Coon cat, Soleil would be watching her so diligently. His green eyes locked on the two strangers, first the female wolf, then the horse. His initial conclusion was that the duo appeared docile, not at all desirous of harming his blind mistress. However, if the situation were to turn sour at all, he would be down from the rooftop and at their throats in seconds. Perhaps his vision of his potential rescue was a bit more grandiose than he was capable of, but that was part of Soleil's charm. He was rarely afraid to stand up to creatures bigger than him in the defense of the ones he loved. Such an odd quality for a feline. .Ruri002 b {font-weight:bold; color:#fbef95; letter-spacing:1px; } .Ruri002ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#fbef95; text-align:right;} .Ruri002 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .Ruri002 {margin:0 auto; width:335px; background-color:#030305; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/ ... uri002.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #fbef95; padding: 210px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#bdb1c6; line-height:12px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Ever Mayawyn - 09-19-2010
I apologize for the ugly wait :/ The girl’s dark hand unconsciously tightened on her companion’s mane before she spoke. “I am Ever. I joined three months ago, or so. I can understand how it would be hard to keep up.” What a horrible afternoon it had been the day she joined. Strelein was her knight in shining armor through the rain. She did not like to replay the dark, unfair story the young pup been forced to play the lead role in. Hand moving to her stomach, Ever could still feel the risen skin of where the scar of a ragged claw had made a ideal moon shape. She had not known the scar was still there; invisible under a thin layer of white chest fur. The tear in her reddish brown ear was completely gone, though the pain was still ringing in her head. And the hole in her heart ebbed with the same pain but hinted with deep hatred and the longing of loss. Since she had joined there had been no pups born in Cour des Miracles. The ashen girl couldn’t help a feeling of excitement and pride from warming her heart at the thought of Ruri’s children growing within the borders. She hadn’t been dreaming of the day she would have pups, and none would be coming from her womb any time soon. Defiantly not Ezra’s for any slip could lead to him becoming a Luperci. Certainly not every female was hoping for daughters and sons? But the pleasure was clear on the Dauphine’s face. Saphraine lifted his magnificent golden head, snow white mane trailing across his face in the gentle wind. He had his dark eyes locked on something along the roof tops long enough for his companion to develop curiosity. She followed his gaze, expecting something along the lines of a bird swooping lower than the equine was comfortable with, but instead saw a cat. The feline had an inscrutable expression that clearly upset the wild stallion, seeing that is was being aimed at his precious maiden. He pulled his ears back at the shadowed figure above them. .ever-d94 .ooc {font-style:italic; } .ever-d94 p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .ever-d94 b {color:#DCC99A; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .ever-d94 {background-color:#847656; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010j ... p/ever.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:274px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #DCC99A; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#1C180D; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:400px; text-align:justify; border-radius:10px; -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; } .ever-d94-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; border-radius:10px; -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -moz-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -webkit-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A;} </style>
- Ruri Aceline - 10-07-2010
Ruri :] 2 The pregnant Dauphine smiled as the young woman introduced herself. She normally would have stood to greet the woman properly, but she was still too tired to stand up yet. Half-folded ears perked in interest before she replied, "Well, it's very nice to meet you, Ever. I'm glad you joined our pack. What's your horse's name? My mate is the pack's Marshall, he keeps the stables, so I spend a lot of time around the pack's horses. I think they are just some of the most wonderful creatures," she replied, turning the conversation to the stallion standing next to Ever. Horses were truly wonderful indeed. Heath could attest to all the many qualities that made them so wonderful, but she could only think of a few. They're long flowing manes and tails, their personalities, the fact that they were so big and strong. They were just wonderful! The lautari turned as a change in the wind carried with it the scent of her cat. He was obviously nearby. Probably keeping an eye on her right now. "Come here and introduce yourself, Soleil," she called behind her, milky blue eyes wandering aimlessly. Her command had been gentle and kind, as she was, but it had carried enough authority to be taken seriously by the adolscent cat. She appreciated that he was so protective of her, and cautious, but he needed to learn to accept strangers more quickly. The orange kitten did as his mistress commanded, climbing down from the roof and bounding towards her side, green eyes fixed on the large horse in front of her. The stallion had obviously taken a dislike to his presence. If the situation escalated, Soleil would be ready. However, for now he simply brushed against his mistress' lowered hand, announcing his presence with a touch. With one hand resting on her bumpy of a belly, and the other stroking Soleil's head, the Dauphine's attention returned to Ever. "This is my cat, Soleil. He's very protective of me, and thinks every new person I meet is a threat. He's really friendly once he decides your okay, though. That usually doesn't take him long." Though she could not see Soleil's actions, she could guess based upon most people's initial reactions to him. They would always ask if he was friendly, which probably meant that he had been staring at them intently, analyzing whether or not they were a threat. Of course, deep down under that protective personality lurked a big teddy bear of a cat who loved to be cuddled and stroked. .Ruri002 b {font-weight:bold; color:#fbef95; letter-spacing:1px; } .Ruri002ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#fbef95; text-align:right;} .Ruri002 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .Ruri002 {margin:0 auto; width:335px; background-color:#030305; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/ ... uri002.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #fbef95; padding: 210px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#bdb1c6; line-height:12px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Ever Mayawyn - 11-20-2010
Too long. Mega apalogizes.
Ever looked down at the Dauphine, an admirable expression on her face. She thought about sitting next to her to continue the conversation but she was in the opposite position of her leader. The spring wind started blowing stronger. Her nose twitched against the biting cold.
“Is your mate Heath? I see him in the mornings when he feeds the equines. I take over grooming afterwards, being the page.”
Pale ocean colored eyes watched as the tabby cat came to rest beside the master who had called to him. Ruri placed a loving hand, alike hers, on her companion. Ever wasn’t sure if she should greet him. Instead she nodded approvingly before she realized the other female wouldn’t see it.
