- Pilot Haddon - 03-22-2008 Shorts posts are awesome! Chizzle Wizzle week at school. In other words, death..[html] He had found her note five days ago. What could he do now? He was completely crushed. It wasn’t because of the fact that she had cheated on him. More, it was the fact that she felt that she needed to leave. Sure, Pilot would have to cope and get over the fact that Dierdre had sought love other places, but he still didn’t want her to leave entirely. He still loved her. He had left the note in their den, a constant reminder that he would be spending his nights alone once again. He had crushed it in his paws, cried over it, and slept with it, all in attempts to somehow make sense of it. Still, he hadn’t, and now it remained idle and tattered in the one place that caused Pilot the most pain to go to. Either way, Phoenix had trusted him to lead Storm while he recovered. He needed to grin a bare it when there were other responsibilities to tend to. If he could, he would leave and go search for her. But he was rooted in Storm for now. The pack needed him just as much as he needed his love. Walking on two legs, Pilot looked to his hands as if the note still lingered there. Tears leaked from his eyes, but he remained silent. The sun was warm on his back, but somehow he felt so cold. He shivered a bit, before whipping away the moisture on his cheek. - Phoenix - 03-22-2008 [html]
- Pilot Haddon - 03-24-2008 Better. I got new parts in, but come to find out they're the wrong size. So now I have to wait to get a refund for those so that I can get the right size ones this time around! Haha. [html] Pilot, startled by the voice, looked up towards the familiar face in bewilderment. Before answering, he looked to his empty hands as if half expecting to see the note slipping from his grip. But no, he had left it behind. He really needed to get a firm stance on reality. At the moment, he was letting himself slip. "Oh, hey Phoenix. No, I was just walking…" Of course he knew that Phoenix was aware that he was lying. It wasn’t hard to tell that the once peppy wolf was now down in the slumps. And who could blame him? The note was a rather unexpected shock to the system. "How’ve you been feeling?" He asked, clearly trying to coax the conversation in a different direction, primarily with its focus away from him and his soggy cheeks. "The coughing and such lifting at all?" He glanced up at the boulder, but for the most part he let his gaze rest just below where Phoenix was. He didn’t want to stare into his eyes in case he happened to notice that Pilot’s were still a bit wet. Sure, he trusted Phoenix and everything, but at the same time, he didn’t want his mate’s father to say things Pilot didn’t want to hear. Not that he would, but Pilot wasn’t really up for taking any chances. |
