- Amos Arphralos - 11-04-2010
Look at this thread, now look at your thread. Sadly, your thread isn't my thread. But your thread could smell like my thread, if it uses OLD SPICE.
Today was different, because today Amos had run out of cigarettes. He'd killed the very last one in his very last pack that morning, and now, several hours later, was poking around abandoned farm houses.
It had been different, when he'd been constantly traveling. There had been old ruins everywhere along the path he'd taken, and several convenience stores stocked with the stuff. Now that he was staying on one place, the old coyote's supply was no longer constantly being replenished. Not to worry, Amos wasn't kind of canine to get dispirited and give up.
Already he'd found three packs, two of them still with the plastic wrap on them. Sure, it was a bit of a meager haul, but Amos wasn't done. The large roofless barn that was peeking over the horizon looked quite promising. Hitching his leather bag more securely over his shoulder, Amos trod across the land, humming a simple tune. .amos-dusty .ooc {font-style:italic; } .amos-dusty p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .amos-dusty b {color:#F2EED3; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .amos-dusty {background-color:#A89D4E; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010oct/amos.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:225px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #F2EED3; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#5F571E; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:400px; text-align:justify; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5px; } .amos-dusty-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5x; box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -moz-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -webkit-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A;} </style>
- Malachi - 11-05-2010
Anything is possible when your thread smells like Old Spice and not like a thread. I'm on a horse.
Each day, winter was looming closer and closer. Mala could feel it on the grizzled tips of her fur. She wasn't sure if she wanted to spend another cold season finding a cave that was barely large enough for her. What an awful winter that was! And it didn't look like she'd be taken in by fellow packs anytime soon.. she was too afraid to approach them. If the wolves she met were freaked out by her appearance when she ran into them, Mala couldn't imagine how the alphas would react. Presently, Mala shook her head. No.. no. It was too soon. The creature felt it was easier to slowly make friends with other wolves, be them part of a pack or not. Then she might ease herself into finding a new home. Her heart sank a little in her burly chest, as Mala ended up forcing herself to think of her previous tribe. It is too soon.. Her gait slowed to a shuffle, lifting her head up to look around. The valley she found herself in had a few abandoned buildings dotted across the landscape. Humans had built them, she learned. But even the nicest ones now had a good few holes in the walls, and the nature of the valley was gripping on to the shabby planks in the form of moss and weeds. She hadn't remembered being here before, but it was quiet, and kind of nice.. in a foreign, out-of-place kind of way. The big beast lumbered over to a large barn. It already wasn't much to look at from behind it, and she surveyed its width and height. Could Luperci do this, too? Her family lived in huts and the occasional small shack, but Mala didn't imagine anything like this could be built. Her large black nose wriggled with different scents, and happened upon a worn, creaking door that led inside. She clawed at it, at first, then shouldered it until it budged inwards. Grains of dust and wood showered down, an indication it hadn't been opened in a while, and she carefully poked her face in to take a peek. .malaoasis .ooc {font-weight:normal; text-align:left; font-size:11px; padding-left:70px; padding-right:15px; color:#000000} .malaoasis .ic {font-weight:normal; text-align:left; font-size:11px; padding-left:73px; padding-right:10px; color:#321805} .malaoasis b {font-weight:bold; text-shadow: #000000 1px 2px 1px; color:#a8f88c; letter-spacing:1px; } .malaoasis {margin:0 auto; width:456px; background-image:url(http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/6971/malamid.png); background-position:center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding: 1px 10px 0px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#916e5e; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Amos Arphralos - 11-07-2010
When he got back, he would clean them off. In the mean time, the old coyote slid them into his bag, and turned around to look for more cigarettes in the barn. Usually, cigarette packs were spread out.
But instead of finding more packs, Amos found a bear. No, really. A bear. The coyote stopped in his tracks, and stared with round eyes at the yellow behemoth. The coyote wasn't sure whether to run, or to extend a greeting- some large predators were extremely unsocialized, while others proved to amiable.
"Howdy, ma'am." Amos spoke, his violet eyes cautiously watching to see how the bear reacted. .amos-dusty .ooc {font-style:italic; } .amos-dusty p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .amos-dusty b {color:#F2EED3; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .amos-dusty {background-color:#A89D4E; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010oct/amos.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:225px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #F2EED3; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#5F571E; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:400px; text-align:justify; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5px; } .amos-dusty-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5x; box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -moz-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -webkit-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A;} </style>
- Malachi - 11-08-2010
ooc: ^^ Malachi allowed only her head to peek in through the back barn door, her eyes scanning the.. well, the lack of a roof, the sunlight throwing its rays down on the entire room. Boxes and barrels of all kinds were stacked along the walls, and Mala thought she even saw a few abandoned horse stables along the left side. The female shouldered the door open just a bit more, but it loosened, and it swung completely open. Mala took a small step back in surprise, but didn't think too much of it. .malasnow p {padding:5px 10px; text-indent:25px; margin:0px;} .malasnow b {color:#713004;} .malasnow-text {margin:15px 5px 15px 15px; padding:3px; color:#122242; width:330px; height:190px; overflow: auto; background-color:#c2d2ee; -moz-opacity: 0.6; opacity: 0.6; filter: alpha(opacity=60); border: 1px solid #000;} .malasnow {width:451px; height:270px; margin:0 auto; background-image:url(http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/4972/m ... lesnow.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding: 0px 0px 1px 0px; font-family: baskerville old face, sans-serif; font-size:15px; line-height:16px; text-shadow: 1px 0px 1px #060914; letter-spacing:.1px; text-align:justify; border: 1px solid #000;} </style>
- Amos Arphralos - 11-10-2010
"Naw, this ain't mah place. Ah'm as much outta place as you." Replied the coyote cordially, smiling at the female creature.
Though, even with his amiable behavior, there was still a part of him on alert. He was old, after all, and it was doubtful that he could hold his own against a bear. The bear seemed friendly enough, but should she turn out to be a bottle of rage, it would mean bad things for Amos.
Pushing those worries to the back of his mind, the graying male introduced himself, "Ah'm Amos. Paht of Infarnah." As always, his thick accent clouded his words. .amos-dusty .ooc {font-style:italic; } .amos-dusty p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .amos-dusty b {color:#F2EED3; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .amos-dusty {background-color:#A89D4E; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010oct/amos.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:225px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #F2EED3; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#5F571E; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:400px; text-align:justify; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5px; } .amos-dusty-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5x; box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -moz-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A; -webkit-box-shadow:3px 3px 4px #2A2A2A;} </style>
- Malachi - 11-16-2010
ooc: Mala popped the front half of her inside, and soon all of her skidded along the dried up hay along the barn. "Naw, this ain't mah place.." Her honey eyes settled, her large body followed suit in relaxing, when she heard the male's words. "Ah'm as much outta place as you." Mala chuckled, looking to her feet then back to the male with a strange accent across the way. "That obvious, huh?" Did she walk to places like she was a loner? The female was beginning to think just that, that her status as a lone wolf stuck out like a sore thumb. The beast began to waddle forward a few steps, taking with her bits of hay. Her nostrils flared as she took in the scents of the area, most of her body still encased in shadow. Part of her head and chest was within view of the sun, which shone down on her from the roofless barn. She was curious as to what was here, but with the male across the way, she wasn't going to approach him unless she knew he was friendly. "I'm Malachi, nice to mee--" Her form froze, though, when the male announced where he was from. In..far..nah? Wait.. did he mean Inferni? Her eyes shot open, remembering what she heard from Skye and how the pack of Inferni put skulls of wolves on sticks to ward intruders off. She felt the furs of her massive neck raise, and just remembering that chilling thought allowed her eyes to narrow. But why did this male seem nice? Whether he was or not, she knew not to be rude, and she nodded in his direction. The female had never met anyone from Inferni, until now, but she gathered they weren't an enjoyable bunch. .malasnow p {padding:5px 10px; text-indent:25px; margin:0px;} .malasnow b {color:#713004;} .malasnow-text {margin:15px 5px 15px 15px; padding:3px; color:#122242; width:330px; height:190px; overflow: auto; background-color:#c2d2ee; -moz-opacity: 0.6; opacity: 0.6; filter: alpha(opacity=60); border: 1px solid #000;} .malasnow {width:451px; height:270px; margin:0 auto; background-image:url(http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/4972/m ... lesnow.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding: 0px 0px 1px 0px; font-family: baskerville old face, sans-serif; font-size:15.5px; line-height:16px; text-shadow: 1px 0px 1px #060914; letter-spacing:.1px; text-align:justify; border: 1px solid #000;} </style>
|
