His small training session had gone well yesterday he thought and he could feel his muscles aching from the actions of slashing and stabbing at the trees. He didnt have a sparring partner yet, so the trees had provided what he had lacked- a target to slash at, or build his muscles and maybe prove to Naniko that he wasn't what he seemed. She didn't see his warrior nature most of the time, because when he was around her he was usually his charming and flirty persona reserved for females. But when he was on his own, his personal determination took over and he was a single minded killing machine. He thought briefly back to the other day in Halifax, the bleeding body of the male that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong attitude. Teddy didnt even know the mans name. The afternoon of the day before had been spent scouting the tunnels, trying to figure out where would be the best place to dig out his den. He wanted to be close to the entrances of Anathema, ready at hand if there was ever a need to get out of the tunnels quickly. But winter had been thickening his coat and despite this fact he didnt much fancy suffering the chill from winds that raced around the entrance to their haven. He still hadnt chosen a place to live and the night before had been spent in the same lumpy cave floor as the night before that. He had woken in the very early hours that morning, grumbling and groaning about the small chunks of cave that he had slept on. But a brisk wander around the tunnels had sent him back to sleep again. Once again the day was grey and foggy although what little sun there was seemed to be reflecting off the white snow and made the young man blink a few times before his vision adjusted. When they had become accustomed to the light, he just about picked out the white form of another wolf. It was hard to discern, but a little easier as the wolf was sat upright. For a brief moment he thought of Naniko before the scent caught up with him. It was not the pale lady but the stranger who had turned up just as Naniko had invited them to create Anathema. A stranger in most of the ways that the rest of his pack members were to him- he only knew a handful of names and faces. Usually Teddy was very aggressive towards other males but he had figured out a while ago that he would have to make at least some good connections in this pack, to save what happened last time. With the sour look on his face the black male padded down to the white, all four white paws sunk deep in the ground. "Was that an owl you were just talking to?" He mumbled, remembeirng the tawny and white bird that had taken off at the vocals of the white male in front of him. Teddy was never really one for a 'hi, how are you? my name is teddy'. He just wasnt that kind of guy. Blue eyes were tempted to check the guy out for any weapons are harmful substances but he restrained himself. Much as he wanted to square up to the white male and assert him, he needed to have good relationships in this pack. So he had to start somewhere, right? word count;; 589 "speech" - Attila Aston - 12-09-2010 That's fine. They appeared to be polar opposites in coat colour but their eyes were at least similar. Whilst his were dark and twinkling, the other's seemed to be very light and cold. Despite the twinkle in Teddy's eyes it was very difficult to tell what he was thinking or feeling and that was especially relevent right now. If he was going to live in this pack, he was damn well going to have to get on with the majority of the people in it. And that included the males. He had seen the dark furred, orange eyed older male around and although he didnt know the males name he knew that a fight would break out between the two of them were they to meet. There was Naniko's elder son, Harlowe, who had desplayed such love for his mother at the first meeting that Teddy couldnt help but snear at him. There were finally the three young boys in the pack- Scorpius, Juju and the coyote Itachi. And then there was this one. Black ears perked as the other male answered his question, but what he actually said was strange. A spirit guide? What the hell was that? And Teddy really had only asked him if he was talking to the creature, not why it was here. A soft snort escaped his nose before he could contain it and it was beyound the male to look embarrassed for making such a noise. It was true that Teddy was interested in the birds around here and was tempted to catch one to train soon, but that was no spirit guide. The white male told him what pack he was born into and Teddy didnt really have the heart to tell the boy he didnt care where he was born. So instead he nodded softly to the boy, trying his hardest to remain friendly and nice. "It must be nice to have a constant companion, even if he doesnt want you to stay where you are. I don't know where AniWaya is... I was born in a pack a long way away" The switch of information was quick, the words tumbling out of his mouth before he could stop them. On further analysis Teddy realised his words had been quite feminine. Nose wrinkled at himself but he smoothed out the expression before the white male caught it and thought it was meant for him. The young man hadn't finished however and he gave his name up without Teddy having to ask. Attila Aston. The last name triggered something in him and he remembered with a start the pale female who he had met the other day. Tayui her name had been. With further concentration he remembered that Tayui had said she came from AniWaya. A relative perhaps? "Theodore Stone. Although I usually go by Teddy. Are you related to Tayui?" He asked, fighting to keep his voice light and friendly. He could tell this was going to be a short meeting, but he needed to do this for his own sake. White tipped tail wrapped around white paws as the male sat down next to Attila, waiting for the connection to the pale lady to reveal itself. word count;; 553 "speech" - Attila Aston - 12-12-2010 <3

- Theodore Stone - 12-12-2010
<style type="text/css"> .teddy b {font-weight:bold; color:#e49957; letter-spacing:1px; } .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:10px;} .teddy p {text-indent:25px;padding:5px 10px;margin:0px;} .teddy{width:400px;border:1px solid #9c7750;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/K ... 1290891459);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:260px;background-color:#352c1e;text-align:justify;margin:10px;font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:11px;line-height:12px;color:#9c7750;} </style> ooc;; <3 so is that thread finished? lol His father had spent a long time making sure that Theodore and Lochlan knew how to reach others body language. In fact, he had beat it into the boys that they had to know what another was thinking, feeling, considering before they even knew what they were going to do themselves. Of course, not all wolves displayed their emotions so readily in the eyes and the mannerisms. So Teddy and Loch had been forced to pick up on subliminal messages, ones that were hidden deep. Their father had wanted them to be the best they could possibly be and that included seeing things that no one possibly could. More often than not Teddy had pretended to understand what his father was saying and simply reacting as though he knew what was going on. Still, it was more than obvious that, like Tayui, this male was no longer interested. Teddy cared very little about the conversation, but he still had the manners to strike up said conversation. In all fairness it was the Aston boy who let the conversation drop. But Teddy couldnt exactly force a conversation on the white boy when it was obvious a conversation was not wanted. And if he were to be truthful to himself he didnt want to continue speaking to the boy either. He snorted and turned away as Attila spoke those dismissive words. Glancing back, Teddy flashed his teeth at the male. "You aren't going to get anywhere in life depending on other people, boy" He snarled before turning and trotting away. Perhaps this time he would make it further than just outside his cave before he found a nice conversation to engage in. word count;; 553 "speech" |
