- Colibri Soul - 01-12-2011
Silver and white seemed to rise slowly with anticipation as she inhaled the scent of the second pack she had helped form here in these wasted lands. This was home for many, but she knew that she would remain a restless spirit until death finally remembered that she still remained while all the rest of them were gone. Eyes of liquid silver travelled across known curves and familiar shapes, though Phoenix Valley would not be the same. Years had passed; nothing seemed able to wait for her. Not that she expected things to remain the same—this she had learned the hard way over and over, yet she seemed to fail to realize that she stood here, helpless. The eerie white form of the petite canine battled snow and grey scenery, but scent would reveal her to any, and a keen eye would always manage to separate the living from its eerie surroundings.
- Twila Rinocco - 01-13-2011
*STEAL* I miss our old Colibri+Crow Stormbringer threads D:
The rises and falls of the Valley were still alien to Twila's travel worn paws, yet they had a soft feel of dawning upon her - as if it was an acquaintance she had yet to put face to name. She gently trotted across it's snow-banked curves, taking time to notice the beauty that pervaded the land. Trees softly shrouded the late winter sky, enclosing it with it's snow-drunk branches. But before she could truly become entranced with the scenery, a rustle cropped her ear forward with benign interest.
A rabbit had surfaced from the old snow. Whether or not the rabbit was as inclined as the girl was to make stupid mistakes like revealing her position at crucial times, or if it was just rather slow and retarded was beyond Twila - but overall she thanked the rabbit and went into a naive stalker pose. She crouched low like a cat, her tail stilled at her hindquarters. Her ears flipped back and forward, digesting any sounds that the twitchy meal made. Her lips licked unconsciously in the frosty air. It wasn't clear if Twila made a ghost of a sound in the air, or the rabbit just had some queer sixth sense - but the wolf was found.
Frozen for just two seconds, the rabbit stared directly in the direction of it's predator before jetting off beyond the treeline with Twila chasing clumsily behind it. She slammed herself in some foliage that the hare lost himself in, crashed in a large snow drift that came seriously out of nowhere before realizing that what looked like a continuation of a snow drift was in fact another wolf like her. Forcing on the breaks, she dug her heels into the ground and hoped for dear lord that she wouldn't crash right into the other's side.
Her world of tranquillity was shattered by two entities, racing towards her with such determination that it was clear that she was nothing but a mere ghost of this world. Enlarged silver was quickly overflown with black as pupils dilated immediately at the incoming threat. A mere prey, dressed in the sparse colours of winter as herself and the canine pursuing it. The rabbit elegantly avoided her frozen form, but the larger form did not. Eerie, slender limbs brought the form into safety; saving her from the unpleasant impact of two bodies. A huff escaped her slender form as platinum orbs remained on her attacker. Lips drew back to reveal fangs as pale as the rest of the wintery wolfess succumbed to instinct for a fragmented moment. Electricity leapt through her thick coat, though did not do much to improve her dimensions.
|
