- Eris Eternity - 03-04-2011
Word Count → 376 :: 8D It was not uncommon for the sable-shaded woman to contemplate Anathema and just how well she fit in here. Though the coyote did not feel shunned as she had in Inferni, there was still something amiss -- Eris had few friends within her new packlands. The most extensive contact she had was with Tayui, the woman she met just before being contained to her cave with the children for some weeks -- since then, she had primarily spent time with Sirius, whose bond seemed primarily born of their shared family -- Eris did not know what to call their relationship, but she knew Sirius's mother was the child of a wolf apparently also sired by Salvaged Eternity. She had shared this with him, and though they had spent some time discussing this shared heritage, Eris could not help but feel Sirius was less interested in it than she was. Perhaps it was simply his manner -- he did not seem to feel much other than indifference toward anything. Despite her lack of integration with the pack, she did not feel as if she was completely out of place here -- on the contrary, she felt more at home than she had anywhere else. There was a general quiet in the caves, as always -- despite their numbers, there were many corridors and rooms in which to get lost, and some preferred the above-ground areas, anyway. The hybrid leaned against the wall of the main room of what she and Larkspur had claimed as the place to raise their family, her legs stretched comfortably outward, contemplating the odd quiet in this very room. She was not used to the children being able to roam about on their own, and though she had forbidden them from straying terribly far from the entrance of the caves, the hybrid did not fear for their safety. There were many pack-members, and Sirius was about -- though he claimed not to like the little ones, she had no doubt that in the event of actual danger, he would protect them, if only for the fact that they were her children. Whether this was truthful of the tawny male's character had yet to be seen, but it was a belief of Eris's, anyway. .sie-blanktext3 {font-family:'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing:0px; word-spacing:2px; text-align: left; margin:0px 25px;} .sie-blanktext3 .ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:justify;} .sie-blanktext3 .divider {border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:5px auto; width:100%;} .sie-blanktext3 .wc {text-transform: uppercase; font-weight:bold;} .sie-blanktext3 p {text-indent: 25px; margin:0px; padding:0px 5px;} .sie-blanktext3 b {letter-spacing:1px; font-family:georgia, serif; font-size:12px; letter-spacing:-.05em;} </style>
- Larkspur D'Angelo - 03-04-2011

- Eris Eternity - 03-04-2011
Word Count → 364 :: HERRRRRRP. So on my merry venture out into the real world I saw a car accident's aftermath (right after, as in the first cop rolled up just then) and a dude getting arrested, probably for smoking crack or trying to rob one of the cars in this old, semi-secluded car lot. NEW JERSEY ARE FUN. Also, derp powerplayed him walking in. >_> Also this is a really weiiiird post. :< The sable-shaded hybrid preferred her two-legged form, especially in these underground tunnels. It seemed more natural to live like this when one had two legs rather than four, but Eris herself hardly noticed the particulars of the form others chose to take. Their preferences went without note, as Eris was generally unaware of others. Anymore, the only ones she cared about were the children -- they had become the primary focus of the Tuyul, and the motivation behind her drive to better herself. For the most part, Eris was too embarrassed to ask Larkspur or anyone else to help her. She feared looking weak, and asking for help was the epitome of weakness. Sirius had been the only one she felt comfortable enough with -- perhaps this was due to their shared blood, perhaps not. In any case, Eris felt closer to him than she did to most in this pack. Strange as it was, Larkspur was still less understood than Sirius, and she had been living with him the past two months. The chartreuse-eyed woman listened to the wolf's approach, familiar enough with his gait to recognize it by sound alone with the aid of the echo provided by the caves. It felt as though she should have addressed him, somehow -- he was not her mate, and any of the words she might have called him if so would not work here. She did not love him, and though they had children together, the hybrid was not certain as to where they stood. In a rather atypical fashion, however, Eris had long decided she did not care -- she would not pursue the subject of their relationship status with him. There was no point in disturbing the comfortable rhythm they had established together. Finally, the burly sable wolf rounded the corner into their home, and Eris smiled at him, an awkward and brief thing that disappeared as quickly as it appeared. Her yellow-green eyes peered at him curiously. “The children aren't here. Probably playing with the other kids,” she suggested. There were at least three other young kids in Anathema, providing Pandemic, Salvia, and Wretch with at least a few other playmates. hold us at the center while the spiral unwinds

These were things she had experienced before, at least to some degree -- she could not classify what had transpired in Eterne as truthful love; that notion had been confuted long ago. It might have felt like it at times, but the swiftness with which they'd removed her had proved otherwise. The sable-shaded woman had sought this in Inferni, though she knew it was a futile, tiny hope, she had tried anyway. Not even the thought of grandchildren bearing her surname had been enough to soften the cold woman who had given birth to Eris; not even that had been enough to allow her into the old woman's heart. “Every day,” the hybrid said, shaking her head back and forth slowly, incredulously. It really was amazing to her -- just mere weeks ago, they had been blind furry bundles, incapable of standing or truly walking, completely dependent on her. Now, they were off and on their own -- certain to return later that night, surely, but still, away from her sight. That in and of itself was a transformation the wolf could hardly believe. “Pandemic looks like you, and Salvia has your eyes,” she said. The Tuyul was glad the coyote features of her maternal ancestors did not seem to be surfacing in their children -- that percentage was negligible in any case, and that it did not physically manifest was something quiet pleasing to the hybrid. .sie-grungetxt {font-family:'trebuchet ms', verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; letter-spacing:0px; word-spacing:2px; text-align: left; margin:0px 25px; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/6Labg.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:0px 10px 10px 10px; margin:5px auto; width:500px; } .sie-grungetxt .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:justify; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:5px auto; width:100%;} .sie-grungetxt .tagline .sub {font-size:11px; font-weight:bold; font-style:italic; } .sie-grungetxt .wc {text-transform: uppercase; font-weight:bold; font-style:normal;} .sie-grungetxt p {text-indent: 25px; margin:0px; padding:0px 5px;} .sie-grungetxt b {letter-spacing:1px; font-family:georgia, serif; font-size:12px; letter-spacing:-.05em;} .sie-grungetxt u {text-decoration:none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; font-style:italic; font-variantmall-caps; } </style>
- Larkspur D'Angelo - 03-05-2011

- Eris Eternity - 03-05-2011
sMell~ <3 Word Count → 328
The sable-shaded hybrid was also surprised by her maternal instinct -- these children had been unexpected, unplanned. She had no reason to suspect her fling with Larkspur would have resulted in life. It was not as if she had missed opportunities in Eterne; perhaps it was simple fate that had kept her from breeding until now, until here with him. Still, the coyote was not silly enough to conflate the fate of her eventual children with some juvenile notion of destined love. Even if she and Larkspur were meant to have children together, this did not necessitate that they were meant to be together, nor was it indicative that such a notion even truly existed in the first place. The hybrid nodded in agreement to his statement, knowing this was true -- they would be fine creatures, and they would be wolves. Although neither Eris nor her children would ever be able to confute her coyote heritage, the latter would be raised in Anathema as wolves. “Yes,” she said, responding immediately, all too happy to seize the chance of practicing her hunting with anyone. Larkspur, especially, was one she knew she could trust to impart proper instruction to her. Larkspur was not the brightest creature she had ever met, but he was a provider and a survivor, and the shadow-furred woman knew these two things were ones she could rely upon Larkspur for. “I would like that a lot. We must teach them everything,” she said, standing up and moving toward him. Her chartreuse eyes did not waver from his face, and they remained bright and alive, glittering as she considered what else they should teach their children. “They're too young for all of it now, but they are at the right age to start,” the coal-hued hybrid said, referring to their spiritual tendencies. Certainly, the children were too young to give peyote or mushrooms -- nothing of that nature -- but they could begin to learn, certainly. .sie-skulltxt {font-family:georgia, serif; font-size: 12px; letter-spacing:.05px; word-spacing:3px; text-align: left; padding:0px 25px; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/8DD1n.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:0px 10px 10px 10px; margin:5px auto; width:515px; } .sie-skulltxt .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:justify; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:5px auto; width:100%;} .sie-skulltxt .tagline .sub {font-size:11px; font-weight:bold; font-style:italic; } .sie-skulltxt .wc {text-transform: uppercase; font-weight:bold; font-style:normal; text-align:right; } .sie-skulltxt p {text-indent: 25px; margin:0px; padding:0px 5px;} .sie-skulltxt b {letter-spacing:1px; font-family:'times new roman', times, serif; font-size:14px; letter-spacing:-.05em;} .sie-skulltxt u {text-decoration:none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; font-style:italic; font-variantmall-caps; } </style>
- Larkspur D'Angelo - 03-08-2011
sie...doesn't really have anything cool to do with it. lame. Destiny was something that the dark wolf knew of all too well. Destiny had saved Misery from her own pyre, and destiny had brought her back when Larkspur was sent to burn. He was one of the few who had lived to tell of such a thing. The Khalif were a simple, brutal people. Yet Misery had used her magic and given him back his life in exchange for the wolf she brought with her. As simple and terrible as that was, it felt right to the scarred wolf that such events took place. His orange eyes shifted to her face, piercing in their own feral way. Larkspur was not cunning in the intellectual behavior of his peers, but he was instinctive. He sensed, rather than calculated. Nothing of that world belonged to him, leaving him a step behind an in a more primitive place. Still, he was smart in his own way. Smart enough to understand she spoke of magic and of faith, and of the terrible dark things that came with such power. The sigil around his neck, a carved stone in the shape of an eagle, whispered to him in the voice of his earth-god and echoed what the dark woman spoke. There was only the faintest change in him when this occurred. His ears twitched as if hearing things others did not, and his pupils dilated and turned inward. It would not be strange if an outsider would believe him simple, and that these were moments of blank stupidity, but Larkspur heard and saw the unformed and knew its face. He was divine in his own way. “We can start ‘em on that first,” he said. “Huntin’ can wait ‘till spring. Y’can see if any of ‘em can read like y’do.” Even though he did not understand her language, he recognized it. It was magic, just as the scars on his arm or the language he spoke in trance. .larkspur-x01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .larkspur-x01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .larkspur-x01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .larkspur-x01 {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b47 ... rkspur.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 20px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Eris Eternity - 03-09-2011
Lolwut? Sieviant, siety, sievotion... ;D This post is REALLY WEIRD SORRY :| The hybrid nodded, practically aflame with excitement for their children's prospects. It had not occurred to Eris that perhaps her children would make their own choices in life -- in her mind, they would always be small, they would always be hers to guide and protect. The idea that someday they would not need her anymore had not yet blossomed within the sable-shaded woman. “They will have it, I know it,” she said, emphasizing the words with a half-smile, her excitement spilling out and over into the realm of expression. “Why wouldn't they?” she asked, more of a rhetorical question than one that demanded an answer from him. Her chartreuse eyes flicked to the stone ground, and back to Larkspur's face, now a more playful grin on her face. Though she knew there was little hope of her less physical, social needs being fulfilled by Larkspur, she could not help but try and interact with him on such levels. “They have us for parents, after all.” The magic of their blood mixing together was not lost on the sable-shaded canine. The coal-hued hybrid hesitated a moment, a slower, more sinister sort of smile creeping across her face. She looked at Larkspur with more scrutiny in her chartreuse eyes, gauging him for a reaction. There was no shame in her question, and it rolled rather easily from her tongue. “Can we have more?” She did not doubt that there was magic in their blood together, and whatever influence Larkspur's had on the children surely negated (or at least offset) whatever dirty coyote heritage she imparted to them. .sie-skulltxt {font-family:georgia, serif; font-size: 12px; letter-spacing:.05px; word-spacing:3px; text-align: left; padding:0px 25px; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/8DD1n.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:0px 10px 10px 10px; margin:5px auto; width:515px; } .sie-skulltxt .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:justify; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:5px auto; width:100%;} .sie-skulltxt .tagline .sub {font-size:11px; font-weight:bold; font-style:italic; } .sie-skulltxt .wc {text-transform: uppercase; font-weight:bold; font-style:normal; text-align:right; } .sie-skulltxt p {text-indent: 25px; margin:0px; padding:0px 5px;} .sie-skulltxt b {letter-spacing:1px; font-family:'times new roman', times, serif; font-size:14px; letter-spacing:-.05em;} .sie-skulltxt u {text-decoration:none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; font-style:italic; font-variantmall-caps; } </style>
- Larkspur D'Angelo - 03-09-2011
A nod was given, showing her he too believed that their children would be given gifts. With the gods of the Khalif looking out for them, how could they not be special? His education for her own faith was lacking, but he believed it was strong in her bloodline and thus made her powerful. Larkspur did not know she was not in fact born into the magic she understood, and that her blood was equally as tainted as those within his own family. Naniko could have been educated once, but her mother ruined her. The large wolf settled on the floor of their cave, pawing at a bone left over from the carcasses he had allowed the children to eat. He began to gnaw on a leg bone as the woman spoke, lifting his head only when she asked about children. His orange eyes brightened at the prospect. “If you want,” he finally said, holding the bone down with one paw. It had turned white as he aged, though there were certainly other signs along his salt-and-pepper face. “These ones ain’t been much trouble,” the scarred man added. .larkspur-x01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .larkspur-x01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .larkspur-x01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .larkspur-x01 {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b47 ... rkspur.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 20px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Eris Eternity - 03-10-2011
I GUESS YOU DO NOT LIKE MY SUGGESTIONS OF AWESOME THINGS YOU COULD CALL ME 8D The sable-shaded hybrid did not find the dynamic between their forms awkward, though she did not know how Larkspur felt; as such, she settled down to the ground once closer to him and once the excitement had faded away at his positive answer. The woman was now thinking, quiet for a moment -- she did not know anything about how soon she could have children again, though she wanted them as soon as she could. She did not want a large age gap between her children; if they were birthed and raised as close together as possible, it would be better for her and easier for them. The older children would be old enough to remember how their younger siblings were raised, making them better parents. The younger ones would be strongly influenced by their older siblings, as well. “None at all,” she said breezily, though she did recall the pain of childbirth. She assumed, or hoped, that the second time would not be quite so bad. “I want them soon,” she said, chartreuse-shaded eyes peering at him and gauging for reaction. There was something in him that seemed transient, almost -- she did not wish for him to disappear on her, and she thought the addition of children might tether him to her and this place further. “I don't know how soon I can, though.” This was said rather matter-of-factly; she did not pose it as a question, as she did not think Larkspur knew the answer -- still, he had surprised her before, and there was a chance it might happen again. .sie-grungetxt {font-family:'trebuchet ms', verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; letter-spacing:0px; word-spacing:2px; text-align: left; margin:0px 25px; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/6Labg.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:0px 10px 10px 10px; margin:5px auto; width:500px; } .sie-grungetxt .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:justify; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:5px auto; width:100%;} .sie-grungetxt .tagline .sub {font-size:11px; font-weight:bold; font-style:italic; } .sie-grungetxt .wc {text-transform: uppercase; font-weight:bold; font-style:normal;} .sie-grungetxt p {text-indent: 25px; margin:0px; padding:0px 5px;} .sie-grungetxt b {letter-spacing:1px; font-family:georgia, serif; font-size:12px; letter-spacing:-.05em;} .sie-grungetxt u {text-decoration:none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; font-style:italic; font-variantmall-caps; } </style>
- Larkspur D'Angelo - 03-11-2011
Larkspur knew nothing about children, so he had given Eris complete control over how to raise and care for them. So as she went on to explain that she wanted them soon, the orange-eyed wolf smiled peculiarly. Misery would be happy to hear such a thing. After all, that was part of the reason he had gone out of his way to keep a strong woman as his own. She was the one that his aunt-mother had approved of, and so he had made a point to keep her and their children content. “Y’could ask a healer,” he suggested, not sure where else to go. He curled his tail around a haunch, tilting his head slightly. “Otherwise we can keep tryin’.” There was no sexual deviance within him, and while he had certainly grown to enjoy her sexually, his appetite was not one of constant need. .larkspur-x01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .larkspur-x01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .larkspur-x01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .larkspur-x01 {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b47 ... rkspur.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 20px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Eris Eternity - 03-27-2011
ARCHIVE WHEN YOU DONE? With Larkspur as a father, raising her children with the surname of D'Angelo and Eternity, there was no fear within the Tuyul for the future of her children. Their percentages were far too low for Inferni -- their wolf blood overwhelmed whatever coyote influence they might have, and even in youth her children appeared the part of whole-blooded wolves. She needn't worry about them departing to live off with their coyote family even if she told them plainly of her own involvement with both Eterne and Inferni. Eris had long decided lying to them outright was completely out of the question -- they would know their full heritage, and she would not deny them as she had been denied. “That's an idea,” she said, wondering where she might find such information. No doubt it was within Anathema, but she did not know who specifically to address. “I'm not familiar enough with Anathema to know who to approach,” she admitted rather uneasily, shifting her gaze around their plain, functional cave. There was little decor within it -- they hadn't the time. They had few possessions -- a few odds and ends Eris had brought over with her from Inferni, and the rug-blanket made from the hide of the cougar pet Ouija had brought for her. The cat had grown too boisterous and rambunctious, and Eris had thought it right to dispose of the animal. The only evidence of its existence was now the hide -- the carcass had been left somewhere on the mountain. hold us at the center while the spiral unwinds

He hated what those savages had done to Dahlia, hated that they were responsible for forcing him out of a rather pleasant existence within Dahlia. Haku’s outing by his own son had been a turning point the dark wolf had not fully recognized. If he had, he would have left the pack long before Conor spat self-righteous nonsense at him. He would see; one day Inferni would destroy Dahlia and Larkspur would laugh. The warning had been given. Conor ignored it. Décor was not within his vocabulary, a womanly thing he had left in her capable hands. Larkspur only truly desired comfort, and he could care less what came after that. They had a home, one their children would use until they grew independent. Having more would encourage this behavior, which suited him just fine. Despite his inadequacies as an intellect, Larkspur was a good father and knew this would be proved when his children crossed the line from puppy into adult. “I’ll figure somethin’ out,” he said, and turned back to the bone between his paws. Content to chew on this, he settled into the silence that the pair had become comfortable with. .larkspur-x01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .larkspur-x01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .larkspur-x01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .larkspur-x01 {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b47 ... rkspur.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 20px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
|
