- Salvia Eternity - 04-24-2011
Salvia crouched low, her ears forward and her tail high. She was stalking the squirrel, a fat and stupid thing, as she practiced daily. Her large paws did not allow for much silence, but she was working on her lessons with the single-mindedness of a hunting cat. Green eyes narrowed and locked on her target, and wiggling her rump in anticipation, the puppy prepared her spring. With a powerful leap she rushed the fat thing, jaws wide, puppy teeth going for the kill. This time, at least, she was lucky. Her teeth sunk into the neck of the squirrel. It screamed and began to twist in her jaws, and Salvia tightened her grip and shook her head furiously as she had seen her father do with Harlowe. She tossed the still-living animal into the air, caught it, and then killed it in another final shake. Pleased by herself, the puppy began to chew on the animal. She did not kill because she was hungry, and it showed; instead she began to drag the thing along and use it like a toy—imitating the cat she so admired. .saltext b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .saltext .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-face:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:center;} .saltext p {text-indent:25px; padding:1px 1px; margin:0px;} .saltext {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(); background-position:top right; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:13px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} .saltext .separator{width:400px; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Sirius Revlis - 04-24-2011
Table by Sie Things were coming together. Plans coagulated like dried blood on his mind, seeping together to form new, inspired ideas. He needed to talk again with Eris; They had many things to discuss before the ideas were set in motion, and time was slipping by faster than before.

<style type="text/css"> Even though she was caught up in her game, tossing the dead thing skyward and catching it again, Salvia spotted her tall uncle’s arrival. Almost instantly she dropped the corpse, mouth shutting smartly as she studied the man. Her mother spent much of her time with the green-eyed man, though he also spent (however begrudgingly) much time with her and Pandemic. Therefore, he was no stranger; though she had very little fear of strangers within the packlands, for Anathema was safe as far as she knew. Except for those madman within, a small voice reminded her, thinking of Harlowe. “No,” she replied curtly. “She might be with daddy,” came the explanation, watching his reaction carefully. Salvia had begun to pick up on social cues during her time spent with others. Tlanti’s lessons in Spanish had come with other lessons as well; the way she behaved around men, for example. There was an art to manipulating them, and the girl sought to find it. Learning to hunt was one thing; learning to twist minds was another. .saltext b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .saltext .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-face:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:center;} .saltext p {text-indent:25px; padding:1px 1px; margin:0px;} .saltext {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(); background-position:top right; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:13px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} .saltext .separator{width:400px; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Sirius Revlis - 04-26-2011
Table by Sie The girl was obedient enough, and that pleased him well. She was, perhaps, the smartest of her siblings - Pan, the boychild, displayed less sharp-witted qualities as she. The man eyed her with a reptilian look of interest. She was blood, Eris' blood, and that made her family. He felt love for the girl, or what he was sure was love... A sort of fondness of thought that made her much easier to think upon than the other fools he might have faced. Regardless, she was still a child, and would be seen as such until she was able to change forms. That marked adulthood in the eyes of the Revlis male, and adults were valuable assets to him.

<style type="text/css"> Whatever went on between her father and uncle was beyond the girl, for they had never shown outright aggression to each other. Subtleties in conversation (that was in tone, though she did not know the word as it applied to such a thing) were something she had just begun to grasp. The world included a spectrum of tones she had yet to see, in words and gestures she clung to desperately. Knowledge would be power. She craved that above all else, having seen the possibilities that could come with it. One day she would become mighty, by hook or by crook. Sirius’ posture did not indicate he wished to play, and while there was the impulse do so, she further recognized this was a critical moment. He was testing her. Maybe that meant she was growing up. She desperately wished to be an adult, sick of her awkward puppy body and being so much smaller than everyone else. Mostly the sheep. She hated having to look up to those stupid things. Yet his praise filled her with pride, pleased he noticed how terribly clever she was. “I taught myself. I watched Itzcitla, and did what he did.” Now that her game had been interrupted, she had no further use for the corpse and ignored it. .saltext b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .saltext .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-face:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:center;} .saltext p {text-indent:25px; padding:1px 1px; margin:0px;} .saltext {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(); background-position:top right; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:13px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} .saltext .separator{width:400px; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Sirius Revlis - 05-01-2011
Table by Sie The girl was surprisingly still, displaying no irrational urge to play in such a puppy-ish manner as she had days prior. This surprised and pleased the Revlis man, for he assumed her to be growing into the stage beyond that uselessness, perhaps into one worthy of his time and attention outside of what Eris demanded.

<style type="text/css"> The more she watched the cat, the more she imitated him. There was never any rush in the animal’s steps, and he walked in a manner that looked fluid and graceful. Salvia sought to emulate him, and it had begun to show. In her mind, she even had begun to resemble the feline—with her now sharp ears and face, and claws she sharpened daily. Even as she watched her uncle her tail-tip moved slightly, betraying her bodies readiness for action. Her kill had filled her with adrenaline, and it showed in each breath. As he stretched, Salvia envied his body. She wanted to be large and grown up. Her paws showed she would one day be large indeed, but even now she was towered over by her colossal brother. Pandemic had always been bigger, but now with only two mouths to feed, the puppies had both gained immense size. They would no doubt be imposing figures when they were fully grown. His question made her eyes narrow. It sounded like a trick. Of course she loved him, why wouldn’t she? He was her uncle, he was smart and funny (even if sometimes cruel) and she admired his ways. Making him happy would be the same as making her parents happy, which she tried to do as often as she could. Eris had changed since Wretch’s disappearance, and Salvia wanted her old mother back. “Yes,” she said, remaining still because she did not know what he might want. “What do you want?” She imagined he would want her to go find her mother, or something stupid like that. It was a menial task that she had seen other parents put their children to work for. Salvia’s, of course, never did such a thing. While disciplined, she was also spoiled. Paradoxical as she was, Salvia had developed into quite an assertive little beast. .saltext b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .saltext .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-face:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:center;} .saltext p {text-indent:25px; padding:1px 1px; margin:0px;} .saltext {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(); background-position:top right; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:13px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} .saltext .separator{width:400px; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Sirius Revlis - 05-03-2011
Table by Sie Her answer was sharp, swiftly given. There was no hesitation, no suspicion in the girl's light voice - Children were such easy soldiers. It all hinged on that instinctive wish within them to please those they emulated, those they admired. Siri's cold, hard eyes brightened at her reply, her avid wish to obey him. Salvia was a smart girl, smarter he thought than her larger brother. In adulthood, together perhaps, they would make quite a formidable team - There was no doubt for the male however that she would be the brains behind the pair. It was all there in her eyes - Hunter's eyes, Eris' eyes.

She had been blessed with a brain that functioned on another level entirely, leading her to be capable of things most children would not have the patience for. She was nearly fluent in both Spanish and German, and had learned to hunt without any help from the outside. Yet with her intelligence had come a shadow, one made up from a lack of soft moral guidelines that led so many to be weak. Rather than a domesticated, stupid child, she was a tiger cub who desired power. Knowledge and strength were power. She had come to recognize this early on. While the will to dominate was strong within her, she was wise enough to know her limits. Wiser still to recognize those who had the potential to open doorways to her goals. Tlanti was one such figure, for by learning patience she had been gifted a secret language. It seemed now that Sirius, despite his way with words, wanted something from her as well. Adults so often forget that children are far more adapt at reading things, for children are great pretenders themselves. Yet favorite stroked her ego, and favorite put her on a pedestal. Had she been a cat, she would have purred. Instead, her green eyes darkened as the pupil widened with rising excitement. “Almost five months,” she said proudly, knowing that this meant she was encroaching on adulthood. .saltext b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .saltext .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-face:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:center;} .saltext p {text-indent:25px; padding:1px 1px; margin:0px;} .saltext {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(); background-position:top right; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:14px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} .saltext .separator{width:400px; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Sirius Revlis - 05-11-2011
Table by Sie The girl had a way about her, an essence that sometimes made Sirius reflect on himself, his own youth. The Revlis man was not narcissistic, but his ego was undoubtedly larger than some, and it pleased him to think of the girl possessing some of the same cunning he had been blessed with. But in that realization came a sharp mental note to keep an eye on Salvia; Not purely for her usefulness to him, but also for her capacity to damage. She would have to be groomed most profusely.

<style type="text/css"> Her games with Pandemic were never cruel, though the pair often bruised and bloodied one another accidentally. They were too rough, him from lack of understanding his own power, she from trying to meet it. The main difference was that Salvia was cruel. She had spent far too long studying the way of the cat. It did not occur to her that this was bad, for she had seen the way her father behaved around the sheep and the tone her mother used when displeased with Axi. Cruelty was a part of life, as simple and as savage as that truth was. So her eyes, a shade too greed to belong to her mother, glimmered with each poison-laced praise. Oh how delightful he made it seem, putting her before the older children and the rest of the family that lived in these caves. Her upper lip pulled away from her teeth slightly, revealing a shark’s collection of glimmering white in a pleased smile. The terrible ferocity in it belonged to that tiger she had yet to become—yet it was there, all the same. “I hope so,” she said on his promise of gaining a new form. She had seen its uses and desired it dearly. “Tlanti promise to teach me to fight once I could.” And that was all she would said on this matter. She had promised the woman silence about her secret language, but she supposed Uncle Sirius, like her Tía Tlianti, could be trusted. “You’ll teach me too, like you teach mother,” she went on, not entirely asking. Even though she had learned that demanding was not the right way to go about getting things, she figured even her gruff uncle might not mind showing her a few new skills. After all, he had done so with Eris. .saltext b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .saltext .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-face:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:center;} .saltext p {text-indent:25px; padding:1px 1px; margin:0px;} .saltext {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(); background-position:top right; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:14px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} .saltext .separator{width:400px; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Sirius Revlis - 05-13-2011
3+ His words seemed to feed the greedy green of the girl's eyes, narrowing pupils and engorging the expanse as a sharp smile, so familiar, glittered across her fox-like face. With her slanted eyes and tipped ears, Salvia appeared to him to be just that - A little fox. With a swell of amusement, the snake-eyes male wondered if that was how others saw him; so much more powerful than the tiny kit-creatures, and yet their canniness was renown.

Sirius was on his feet, a tall thing that towered over the pup. Her ears fell back, worried she had pushed him too far. Tlanti had been cross when she had done this before, and while she believed her uncle might give her leeway, it did not seem so. The dry and unfamiliar taste of worry came to her tongue, but the lanky hybrid only hit her nose (and gently at that). Pleased that he was not going to shout, the puppy craned her nose up to try and reach his chin. It was the only submissive posture she knew, aside from being on her back, but that went against her instinctive need to protect her belly. “Yes Uncle Sirius,” she said sweetly, her voice lined with lace and sugar. She was remarkable at putting on this front, which did not suit her cat-like eyes, and wiggled her tail to prove she was being sincere. This was not a lie, of course; she loved her uncle dearly and would do as she was told. He was right after all; she was not her mother, only a child. “Would you please teach me like you teach my mother?” A sickly-sweet smile. Despite her honest affection for him, even she could not hide the predatory drive in her gleaming eyes. .saltext b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .saltext .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-face:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:center;} .saltext p {text-indent:25px; padding:1px 1px; margin:0px;} .saltext {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(); background-position:top right; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:14px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} .saltext .separator{width:400px; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Sirius Revlis - 05-23-2011
-- Seeming to sense the underlying malice in his tone, with a swiftness that showed her own cunning nature, Salvia was quick to digress into a submissive form.
