[html] There. Sorry I didn't get this done before you logged off. Desi tugged on Fuerte's mane, urging the big grullo stallion to a grudging halt. She shook her head, exasperated at the equine. She had only had possession of the horse for about three days, and she did not even try to kid herself into thinking that the stallion liked her. More likely, she mused, Fuerte was merely waiting for the perfect opportunity to knock her on her rump and go running back to J'adore, his previous owner.

Slowly, but surely, he'd managed to make some well-earned friends and the pack knew his name now. He'd missed out on finding a new rank in time with his brother, who'd recently earned a rank by exploring the caves, but it was probably for the best; he'd be able to take his time and find the rank that suited him best. With Alaki's help, maybe he'd find it soon. However, having come from a place where the sun woke him in the mornings and the moon shone in through his window, living underground was starting to get to him. Despite the absolute comfort he got from sleeping in Alaki's bed and spending his free time decorating the other male's room, Teo was getting restless. He couldn't stay underground forever, and Carissa needed some time outside. So, grabbing up his little angel, the boy headed out. He knew the dangers; Giuseppe would no-doubt be infuriated with him if he was caught, for not having come home for a few nights, so the boy turned tail and decided to take a back exit out of the caves. This brought him into a new area that he wasn't used to, but at least it meant he wouldn't have to face Giuseppe and his fury. He carried Carissa, as small as she was, in his satchel bag, where she poked her head out curiously but never bothered to try and get away. His journey was made in optime form, leaving the territory behind in favor of exploring and forgetting his troubles for the day. He'd brought his things for making jewelery and some jerky that probably wouldn't last the trip if Cari found them. The day was due to bring some nice time alone... The last thing he'd expected to find was a horse. The stallion was tied up to a tree nearby, grazing on a patch of new spring grass. It was close to the evening by the time Matteo had made it this far and at the sight of another kept animal, Carissa started to get restless in the bag. Softly, so that whoever owned the horse wouldn't likely hear him, he looked down and scolded the young raccoon, shushing her and making sure she stayed in the bag. Still, she's got a point to all that whining. I'm pretty tired... maybe whoever it is will be able to tell me where I am? Not that he was lost; boy just wasn't sure what packlands he was closest to at this point. He knew a pack called Inferni was nearby, but he wasn't sure where. So, getting the courage about him, he trotted closer. He spotted her flopped down on the ground, a beautiful young woman with the most interesting pelt he'd seen all year. The gray-blue dappling, framed with chestnut and white, was something he'd never seen before. It brought him to pause a few feet away before taking another few steps. "Excuse me, madam?" Teo's young, soft voice was obviously Italian, adding to his innocence in a way. Hopefully she'd be in a friendly mood...

I'm sorry. =( Perhaps she had fallen asleep. Perhaps it was merely that the chirping of the crickets and the buzzing of all the busy little springtime, night-active insects lulled her into a false sense of aloneness. Whatever it was, her ornery horse certainly did not see fit to alert her to the presence of any other being despite that he had heard Matteo himself. So when she opened her eyes to the quiet voice that addressed her, it was with some confusion and not a little nervousness. The merled girl was not in the most invulnerable of positions, sprawled out on the turf.
