- Tayui Aston - 07-18-2011 Location: The Dampwoods Date: July 4, 2011 Time: Around 6pm Form: Optime Word count: 378 Walking through the Dampwoods was like taunting the beast within. As she stalked further north, her footsteps became louder. Every strike of her padded paw against the increasingly rocky ground reminded her how close she was to Inferni and reminded her of her incessant obsession. She wanted to find Hybrid Holocaust again for a number of things. She wanted to hurt him and she wanted to learn from him. She wanted to see who he was and why the way he was. She hated him but there was so much about him that completely fascinated her. It was a morbid curiosity and it was a moribund wish of hers to learn more. As she trekked north, the soft, pine needle-ladden forest floor fell away, giving way to rolling hills and more sparsely-vegetated regions. She could see over the hills to the parts to which Inferni laid claim. From her slightly elevated position, she could even hear the waves crashing against the sand to the far west, beyond Inferni’s borders. She smiled. She liked how no land creature could claim the water as their own. Humans had tried and failed and she suspected canines would never try. They might float boats upon the water’s surface, but it was not the same. She tried to ignore her desire to venture into Inferni and instead continued north. She still looked out over the charred remains of the forest below and the beaches in the distance, but perhaps if she could remain this close to the territory and not venture forth, then perhaps she will have conquered that strange unnameable desire that lived within her. If she could just prove to herself that she was more than this strange fascination, then perhaps she could finally say there was nothing wrong with her. But that would be a lie. Even as she stopped again to stare down at Inferni’s territories, she couldn’t help but wonder why she felt more of a kinship to Inferni than she did to Salsola or she had to Anathema. She would never survive this. She sighed as she rested a hand on a tree and then leaned her arm and followed this with her entire body so she was practically clutching the tree. What was wrong with her? - Lucia Cabriel - 08-11-2011
Sorry about the wait! Had a lot of things I've had to sort recently! ps. also not the best post in the world, but it'll get the ball rolling at least Lucia had been trying to sleep for a while now. She had found that her nightmares seemed less likely if she slept during the day; however that had been somewhat of a challenge today it seemed. She had laid on one of the lower branches of a large tree for hours, staring blankly at the canopy of the woods. Birds had come and gone, one almost having tried to use her as a perch. The small creature hadn’t lasted long, now a crumpled heap on the pine-needled floor. Lucia was in no mood to play nice, though that was a rarity anyway, so it came as little surprise. The stupid bird should have known better… that was all she could think and feel. She wouldn’t allow herself anything different. <style type="text/css"> .lt b {font-weight:bold; color:#91ba5a; letter-spacing:1px; } .lt .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color: #a99393;} .lt p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .lt {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:#2c3033; background-image:url(http://i972.photobucket.com/albums/ae20 ... /table.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #000000; padding: 350px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:10px; color:#000000; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Tayui Aston - 08-15-2011 No worries! Tayui had not expected anyone to find her here. Somehow, she had assumed that since she was alone, the rest of the individuals in the world would simply know that she wanted to remain that way. Her claws dug in to the tree bark when she heard the first word uttered and she quickly glanced over her one shoulder to identify the intruder. A black wolf, female, with green eyes and a disgusting-smelling cigarette drooping from her mouth. Tayui was instantly repulsed by the smell and felt like the smell and this woman’s presence were poisoning her environment. Tayui slowly released her clawed hands from the tree, which had gotten lodged in the bark. She had been holding onto the tree so tightly that her curved claws had slowly embedded themselves in the bark. When she pulled them out, there was a bit of a painful twist, and she winced slightly. She then turned around, a frown already marring her light features, and replied with a quick retort. “Clutching,” she corrected. “There is a subtle difference.” Her frown deepened when she caught another whiff of the cigarette. The breeze ruffled her fur and blew smoke into her eyes, making them ache. “That cigarette smells disgusting,” she snapped. She didn’t know how this wolf could stand the smell, what with her keen sense of smell. Certainly a human might be able to smoke them, but they had the senses of a rock compared to luperci. - Lucia Cabriel - 08-30-2011
Watching as the other female detached herself from the tree base, Lucia found a sliver of amusement in her wincing. This did not show, however. She knew better than to display emotions to a stranger. They could use it against her, or perhaps just bully her. Lucia was a paranoid soul, but she would not dwell on it. - Tayui Aston - 09-01-2011

Tayui couldn’t quite figure out what the other wolf was thinking. Even as she announced that she was clutching, not hugging the tree, there was no change. She hadn’t really thought it through, so unluckily for this female, she got a rather bland response. Of course, it wasn’t until she mentioned the cigarette that the other wolf really did anything. She smiled in a very off-putting way that made Tayui want to flinch away. Whatever it was about this wolf, somehow Tayui had amused her. She tried not to shiver.
|
