Thanks for starting! And I'm assuming she's chilling up in her room...? If not, say the word and I'll fix my post. o: wc:352 A surprise visit from his daughter just days before had done well to lighten his darkened mood. It was a relief to learn that the dark-furred girl was alright after all this time, and all she had gone through. And while he hated to learn that he was ignorant to her return to the region for all this time, he was glad that she had chosen this time to visit. Had she chosen to journey out to the land of the Dreamers any earlier, she may have found herself running headlong into the conflict that had haunted them for so long. The pleasant mood lent well to allowing him to get some much needed rest. With how often sleep had eveaded him within recent weeks, getting a decent rest was a great relief to the Marino. When he awoke, he set about undoing the tightly wrapped bandage around his chest. While the pain in his side had not diminished, he was beginning to feel that his wounded ribs would heal just as well without the presence of the itchy wrapping. Initially he thought to head down to his workshop to busy himself for the time being, but the thought of being cooped up in there alone didn’t sound very appealing at the moment. Perhaps he would seek out some of his packmates instead. As he made his way toward the staircase to head downstairs he hesitated, amber gaze glancing down one of the nearby hallways. He wondered if Anu was around. It wasn’t often that the Marino male spent time with the gentle woman, but she was a dear friend to his sibling and very much family to all of the Dreamers. The chocolate-furred male made his way down the hallway to the room where the leader resided, pleased by the sight of the candlelight flickering past the doorway. He came to a halt before the doorway, pausing and knocking on its frame to announce himself. “Ciao, Anu,” he greeted, a light smile touching his lips. She seemed to be doing alright, busying herself with a book lying open across her lap. - Anu - 11-07-2011
in her room, yes ^^
- Ehno Marino - 11-10-2011
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/K ... ebylin.png); background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> Ehno entered the room as she beckoned, the light smile on his lips growing a little wider. He seated himself in the chair at bedside slowly—bending in such a way was still one of the sure-fire ways of igniting the flare of pain in his side. Golden eyes gave the Praetor’s form a cursory glance, trying to gauge how she was holding up. Anu had faced her own hardships at the hands of Maska’s men, more than any of them could know. While he could make out physical scars, like the one along her neck, the psychological scars were the ones hidden from him. Those were the ones that hurt the most. “I’m faring rather well, I think. My day is only just beginning.” The barest hint of a grin tugged at the corner of his lips. “The days have been kind to us with all this warm weather lately,” he agreed. For this, the Marino was glad. Autumn was beginning to get into full swing, bringing along with it the precursor to winter’s cold frost. He had grown used to Nova Scotia’s freezing winters over the years, but warmer days would always have his love. He then returned her question, choosing his words carefully. “And how about you, Anu? Doing well yourself today?” His eyes glossed over the tome on her lap with interest. If she wished to avoid difficult subjects, there was always plenty more for them to discuss. - Anu - 11-17-2011
sorry for the wait!
- Ehno Marino - 11-19-2011
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/K ... ebylin.png); background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat;">
No worries! Sorry this is kinda short. Anu claimed that she was doing well, and Ehno smiled. “Good to hear it.” All of the Dreamers had their own worries, their own wounds to heal. But they were all recovering. Slowly, they would all find things returning to how they once were. The silver-painted wolfess confessed her happiness at the thought of things returning to normal. “As am I,” he agreed, nodding. He was eager for the trials of the past months to be nothing more than a fading memory for them. Nothing sounded better right now than a sense of normalcy. The subject of his children was brought up, and it brought a soft smile to his lips. He seldom spent time with them now, but they were still with their mother at least. Still with family. “One of my daughters actually came to visit a few days ago.” It had been such a pleasant surprise to see the dark-furred girl show up at their borders after all this time. The father had been afraid that she had run off for good. “She and her sister are indeed living in Anathema with their mother. There’s been no sign of their other sister, however.” No mention of Harlowe. Never Harlowe. - Anu - 11-29-2011
thanks for being patient
|
