- Bastion Hallow - 11-02-2011
Table & Coding © Bobbi & Kiki; I decided to be odd and go with a muskrat tail and a beaver tail. Now Siri can have kinky nights with his whip and paddle; 574 words
The route that Bastion was taking had easily become familiar to him. It was the same path that he had taken multiple times before. Just about every meal ended with him following this path once again. The gifts that he was carrying with him were ones that the Boss was certain to have come to expect from him. While they were all in the same category each one was different and unique in its own way. He had brought tails from a variety of animals already. It had all started with the noticing of the Boss's half tail and so Bastion continued with bringing back an assortment of tails in order to make up for the missing portion of the leader's tail. It had never occurred to him that some that he brought would never fit the leader or look right with the half tail that he was sporting. But since when did that matter when it was the thought that counted? If that even mattered in this case. Still, his gifts had never been turned away thus far.
The tails that he had with him this time were rather odd ones. His previously gifted tails had all been fur covered but not the two that he had with him now. He had come across a couple of rather odd specimens down near the water. Of course he had captured them and experimented upon them to try and figure out what it was that made them tick. Because of that there was a roughly stitched up muskrat and beaver wandering around Salsola missing tails. Who knew just how long they would live after surgery since Bastion had never bothered to find out. No, he just found strange creatures and cut them open to poke around a bit then stitched them up and sent them on their merry little ways while he forgot all about them after that.
Once Bastion had reached the familiar doorway he paused outside of it. "Hello?" He called out into the room but didn't enter. While Bastion wasn't one to typically care about the personal space of others there were some rare occurrences where he showed some concern. Granted that mainly focused upon the Boss. He figured that he was well enough in Sirius's favor but it was nothing like the favor and bond that he had with Eris. But then again, since Bastion had acquired Enigma at least he couldn't exactly linger around outside of the Auxiliary's home since the pup had to be fed from the milk that she produced. There wasn't a case of severe importance that the small male had with the leader. The tails could always be dropped off at a later date should the larger male be unable to be bothered at the moment. Bastion could always come back later because he simply felt compelled to hand deliver them. He absolutely had to see the Boss's face when he was handed such unique gifts. After all, who but him, handed out random animal tails as gifts? After all they weren't shiny trinkets that Sirius seemed to favor but they were something that none but Bastion was likely to hand out. The small male had proved himself to be an oddity with his very first gift, the blood of sacrificed fox kits so that the leaders might live a long and extended life. The gift of tails just seemed to fall in line with that. <style> .bashollow {margin:0px auto;width:450px;border:none;padding:10px;font-family:times new roman, sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:16px;letter-spacing:.5px;text-align:justify;margin-top:15px;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/ ... /U7RnS.png);background-position:top middle;background-color:none;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:151px;} .bashollow-ic {background-image:none;background-position:top right;background-color:none;background-repeat:no-repeat;border-top:1px solid;} .bashollow-ooc {font-style:italic;font-size:11px;margin:0px; padding:0px;text-align:left;} .bashollow-ooc b {font-weight:bold;font-style:normal;} .bashollow p {text-indent:25px;margin:0px;padding:5px 10px;} .bashollow b {font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1px;} .bashollow i {font-style:italic;letter-spacing:1px;} .bashollow .wotd {border-bottom:1px dotted;font-style:italic;letter-spacing:1px;} </style>
- Sirius Revlis - 11-05-2011
<3 ; 3+ He lounged laconically, occasionally spearing a morsel of meat with one wicked claw and devouring it absently. The meat was neatly sliced into chunks, and rested on a dulled silver plate on one side of the giant stone throne in which the monarch lazed. It was a mild day, and boredom had fast overcome his intense and unpredictable mind, but the urge to leave the dark solitude of his chamber was far less than the desire to exercise. He had been awake for the entire night prior, and was enjoying the chance to nap frequently, and rebuild some energy reserves.

Bastion was entirely used to the way that he was perceived. The questions over his appearance and antics had come to be expected. Actually it would even be a thrill for someone to challenge him and his rank within the family. How fun it would be to put them in their place. For him to demonstrate exactly why he was ranked as high as he was. He was a deceitful little thing and he quite enjoyed it. To him it was fun to be seen as nothing more than an idiot child. The slaves housed within Salsola could attest to just how far off that assessment was. It had been their first impression of him as well but he had quickly proven that there was much more to him than what he outwardly displayed to the masses.
Once permission was given Bastion entered the room of the Boss. He wasted no time in directly approaching the leader. He also didn't waver under the gaze that was pinned upon his small form. He felt no fear under the scrutiny of the Boss as other's might. But then again he also freely met Sirius's gaze when he knew that he shouldn't. But since when had Bastion stuck to strict protocol? No, he felt self assured and so the risk was taken without a second thought. It just further proved what an oddity that the small male was. Especially when he made to try and crawl up on Sirius's lap.
While he might not adhere to the cultural norm of averted and lowered eyes he had no problem with the affectionate and friendly greeting. Actually that was the exact reason that he was trying to sit on the larger male. The man was already taller than himself and with the Boss perched upon his pedestal Bastion had no hope of reaching him unless he should seek to invade personal space to do so. Even though it might seem odd that he was trying to climb onto someone that was more likely to shove him away than to allow for the action to come to pass it didn't stop him from trying it anyways. After all he wanted to get close enough so that he could actually nuzzle the Boss and display the proper greeting. <style> .bashollow {margin:0px auto;width:450px;border:none;padding:10px;font-family:times new roman, sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:16px;letter-spacing:.5px;text-align:justify;margin-top:15px;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/ ... /U7RnS.png);background-position:top middle;background-color:none;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:151px;} .bashollow-ic {background-image:none;background-position:top right;background-color:none;background-repeat:no-repeat;border-top:1px solid;} .bashollow-ooc {font-style:italic;font-size:11px;margin:0px; padding:0px;text-align:left;} .bashollow-ooc b {font-weight:bold;font-style:normal;} .bashollow p {text-indent:25px;margin:0px;padding:5px 10px;} .bashollow b {font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1px;} .bashollow i {font-style:italic;letter-spacing:1px;} .bashollow .wotd {border-bottom:1px dotted;font-style:italic;letter-spacing:1px;} </style>
- Sirius Revlis - 11-20-2011
<3 ; 3+ From the beginning, Bastion had been gifted with small allowances for the way that he acted. He had been Eris' pet, back then - His ebony auxiliary had adored the small grey male, as indeed she continued to. Sirius had been far less favorable in his judgment, and had allowed the antics of the peculiar youth to continue only because of his talents in other areas... Indeed, the arbiter's values had proven to easily overcome his bizarre lack of social etiquette.

Bastion was spoiled, that much had to be admitted to. Granted it never came from his parents but from those around him instead. Those that decided to treat him as his appearance would dictate, as a young child. And of course Bastion delighted in it. It just secured the thought that he was better than everyone else around him. Continually he was allowed to do things that others weren't permitted to do. He had earned the favor of his leaders. Sure, he was peculiar but one could never say that he didn't live up to his job. He got his work done. He even maintained the specifications of his co-rank as well. So for all of his oddities he was efficient at the very least.
His loyalty was with Salsola but it might not exactly be first and foremost. After all one had to look after themselves before they could look after another. At least that is the way it was for Bastion. He could never think of leaving Salsola or of betraying the family. But that didn't mean that he was about to lay down his life for them either. That was just insanity. No, Bastion would continue to do his own thing. He worked too hard on enhancing and extending his own life to give it away so easily. But so long as no harm or ill was presented to him then he had no problems remaining devout to Salsola. Self preservation would always remain number one with him though. It was why he had others to fight for him.
Having been allowed upon Sirius's lap Bastion went through with the greeting, seeking to nuzzle and lick each of the Boss's cheeks in turn. And it being him he couldn't just take the warning in silence. "But... greeting...?" It really was a catch twenty-two for him. He was too short to adhere to cultural norms and display the proper greeting unless he were to break another law and end up touching the higher ranked male in some other manner. After all it be improper for the King to end up kneeling for him. So in some fashion or another a custom would have to be broken in his case.
But the reprimand seemed as if it were to only be a light verbal one for the other male had already moved on to other matters and allowed for Bastion to keep his current placement. Bastion grinned and wiggled lightly in excitement, his tail twitching behind him. "Presents." Each of his hands held up an odd item. The tails were unconventional and that was why he liked them so much. Sure, they were small in comparison to the male that he was giving them to and so they weren't really fit to be worn but that had never stopped Bastion before. "Found two. At water." The incomplete sentences should be something that should be used to at this point. Bastion simply spoke the bare minimum that was needed to get his point across. He had no idea what animals the tails were from but he had found them both down at the water. They were new to him and so he had to have them. For all he knew Sirius might be able to identify them with the slight information that Bastion had given him. <style> .bashollow {margin:0px auto;width:450px;border:none;padding:10px;font-family:times new roman, sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:16px;letter-spacing:.5px;text-align:justify;margin-top:15px;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/ ... /U7RnS.png);background-position:top middle;background-color:none;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:151px;} .bashollow-ic {background-image:none;background-position:top right;background-color:none;background-repeat:no-repeat;border-top:1px solid;} .bashollow-ooc {font-style:italic;font-size:11px;margin:0px; padding:0px;text-align:left;} .bashollow-ooc b {font-weight:bold;font-style:normal;} .bashollow p {text-indent:25px;margin:0px;padding:5px 10px;} .bashollow b {font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1px;} .bashollow i {font-style:italic;letter-spacing:1px;} .bashollow .wotd {border-bottom:1px dotted;font-style:italic;letter-spacing:1px;} </style>
|
