- Terra - 12-07-2011
For Axelle. First post blah Heading home was easier than coming up. For one thing, Terra actually knew where she was going. The last time Terra hadn't known the name of the pack, simply looking for the place where secrets where kept. Terra could move a lot faster when she knew where her destination was. It still took a while though. Terra had spent yesterday roaming the mountains, careful to keep the skulls just out of sight. Teasing Inferni was fun, but two pack run ins in a row would be tough.

Finals are crazyyyy Being out in the open, away from Anathema, was a treat for her. It brought her back to the times when she was a loner. Even though being a loner did have its cons, it was the best feeling in the world. At the time when she was a loner, though, she thought one was restricted to pack lands and unable to travel to other places. Well, she was wrong. What was she doing at this very moment? Traveling. Axelle continued to walk at a leisurly pace, on two legs today. She didn’t really have a destination at the moment. She was just enjoying herself being out somewhere else for a change. Though, she did have the urge to go back to her cave and sleep the night away. Plus, she forgot to feed Frex. Shit. She wondered if the cat would manage on his own. He knew where the mice lived, she thought maybe if he was a smart cat, he would figure it out when times were needy. He would also be a pissy kitty when she got home, too, for forgetting to feed him. Oh well, that’s life. The scent of another unknown femme had reached her nostrils a mile or so back, and the scent was getting stronger as she went forward. She wasn’t all that worried. Since she had been training for her career, she’d gained some muscles. She was still short, but the muscles and strength would definitely come in handy just in case she’d need to be in a situation like that. Finally, she saw the other up ahead. She was approaching the femme from behind, on the side some ways away- probably not the best of things to do while another unknown wolf is eating. Oh, well. She would keep saying that until she was given a reason to think twice. She approached behind the femme and spoke in a calm voice, ”Do you know how to cook meat?” It was a random question, but it suit the mood. Axelle was willing to teach the femme if she wasn’t in the know, and she was willing to catch her own prey to demonstrate if the wolfess didn’t want to share. She didn’t approach to steal any food; she wasn’t even that hungry. She just approached because she was curious, and curiosity sometimes kills the cat. .waterbeads-ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-size:12px; text-align:right;} .waterbeads b {font-weight:bold; color:#a48da4; letter-spacing:1px} .waterbeads p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .waterbeads {margin:0 auto; background-color:#a3676b; background-image:url(http://i54.tinypic.com/qxtjcp.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding: 230px 0px 10px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#c89eaa; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:.8px; line-height:12px; text-align:justify; width:400px; border:1px solid #50333a; margin:0 auto;} </style>
- Terra - 12-21-2011
out of character text She heard a wolf approaching from behind. A low growl rumbled in her throat as she caught sight of the female from the corner of her eye. Carefully she turned herself, not letting the rabbit or female leave her range. Terra was quite proud of this rabbit, and she wasn't about to give it up to some stranger. The question she'd been asked wasn't very threatening though. Terra didn't know how to really answer, being unsure of what to do.

The way the femme reacted to Axelle’s approach wasn’t surprising. Axelle still wasn’t afraid because she had been in this situation before, and reacted the same way. She still would have reacted the same way. Most others wouldn’t approach out of nowhere, but then again some did. Like her. At least she approached with conversation, rather than just nosiness. Axelle lowered herself to the ground and reclined against a tree a safe distance away. She barely gave the other much attention, but she was still in the conversation. ”Cooked meat has a whole lot of gracious flavors…” Though it took a lot of the blood that she loved out, it did bring a whole new wave of sensational flavors. Eris taught her how to cook, or rather she gave her the idea. It was a simple matter, really. ”Cooking is when you cut the meat off the creature with a knife, and then lay the slabs over a fire for a bit. They lose their bloodiness, but it’s a new experience. It’s a nice treat for me every once in a while…” She emphasized on some words, not knowing if the female had a clue of what she was talking about. ”Though, I do like my meat raw, too.” Axelle picked at her clawed fingers as some humans would do when they were nervous. She pretended not to really be into the conversation much seeing that the female was still on edge about her arrival. Better to give her some space before she warmed up. Axelle did look up from her fingers at the other, taking in her energies and taking note that she was not on four legs anymore. This could make the conversation more civilized, as not many picked fights in Optime much these days. Axelle smiled at the femme, ”I’m Axelle.” She noted the other still had her rabbit in hand, probably still untrusting of her. She didn’t want the rabbit, or else she would've attempted to take it away already. ”…and you?” .waterbeads-ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-size:12px; text-align:right;} .waterbeads b {font-weight:bold; color:#a48da4; letter-spacing:1px} .waterbeads p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .waterbeads {margin:0 auto; background-color:#a3676b; background-image:url(http://i54.tinypic.com/qxtjcp.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding: 230px 0px 10px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#c89eaa; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:.8px; line-height:12px; text-align:justify; width:400px; border:1px solid #50333a; margin:0 auto;} </style>
- Terra - 12-30-2011
out of character text Terra just didn't get it. Who in their right mind would throw their food into the fire? It was complete nonsense, yet apparently accepted here. Mulling it over in her mind Terra decided that the next chance she got she would cook her food. She'd never experienced it before, and as mad as it sounded Terra was just crazy enough to decide to do that herself. The emphasis on some of the words wasn't lost on Terra. Her ears temporarily flattened, feeling a little mocked. So she was ignorant. One couldn't blame her. She'd grown up among normal coyotes, not luperci.

A fight for someone else’s name just didn’t sound worthy enough. Sounded fun, but exerted too much energy for a cheap prize. Axelle continued to look away from the femme, staring at her own bi-colored legs. Then she turned to the femme with a rather menacing smile, ”A fight for your name… and that rabbit?” At least throw the rabbit in there, even though it was half eaten. She could cut the chewed parts off with her sword, even though the sword was never made for cutting, more for slicing. If the rabbit was in the deal, Axelle would fight. If not, she could live without knowing the femme’s deal and just leave her be. Axelle rose from her spot and leaned on the tree with her right shoulder and tucked a left-handed thumb into the sword’s sheath-belt around her waist. ”Weapons…No weapons?” Her voice was quiet and serious. She would prepare. Weapons were better, but she didn’t know if the other had any with her. She seemed not to, but maybe she had something hidden nearby in a hollowed out tree stump or something, kind of like how Itzal had stored her crossbow that one time. The thought of leaving her baby there, even though it was safe in her den now, still made her uncomfortable. Axelle wasn’t the best natural fighter, especially in Optime form. She fought better in Lupus or Secui, and better in Optime with her weapons, not with punching. It sounded so human and was so human, she hated it and hated the thought of such a thing, but she would do what she had to, to win whatever it was. She hated losing and would give this all she had if it was even worth it. Thinking about the rabbit’s meat in her mouth was motivating enough. She was hungry thinking about it, and whether or not the femme wanted to give it up, if she was defeated Axelle would take her food and split. Though, if nice enough or feeling bad, which the odds were very low, she would share the femme’s original food and teach her how to cook. Axelle shook her head, no. It wasn’t like they had decided to play-fight. This was a real fight that this femme sprang on her, and it would not end on good terms… Or would it? She did offer rather than just attack. Axelle does have a choice… It should end on good terms, and she should at least show the girl how to cook the meat. Axelle’s thoughts were lost in doing the ‘right’ thing, as she wasn’t exactly used to doing so. She was torn between right and wrong. .waterbeads-ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-size:12px; text-align:right;} .waterbeads b {font-weight:bold; color:#a48da4; letter-spacing:1px} .waterbeads p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .waterbeads {margin:0 auto; background-color:#a3676b; background-image:url(http://i54.tinypic.com/qxtjcp.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding: 230px 0px 10px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#c89eaa; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:.8px; line-height:12px; text-align:justify; width:400px; border:1px solid #50333a; margin:0 auto;} </style>
- Terra - 01-06-2012
No. Suck at word count and long posts Losing the rabbit would suck if it had to happen. Terra didn't feel so sure about this bet now, needing the meal or lose her ability to shift. She took another bite, leaving only about half the rabbit. Did she have enough in her shift afterwards? Deciding that she'd had enough to last her in case of an emergency Terra dropped the rabbit regretfully. The chance at a game, no matter how dangerous, was too high a tempation for Terra to ignore. She drew the dagger that had been tied to her back paw out, playfully spinning it around. Weapons.
<style type="text/css"> .xmas-a01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#FFFF00; letter-spacing:1px; } .xmas-a01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .xmas-a01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .xmas-a01 {margin:0px auto; width:400px; background-color:#000000; background-image:url(http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff4 ... Hearing the femme take another bite out of the rabbit pissed her off. Sure, leave less of a prize for me… She wanted to growl, but yet she didn’t want to show any emotion to the whole thing. She wanted to defeat the girl and get this over with because honestly, there wasn’t much going for her if she did win. Noticing the femme’s tiny knife made Axelle drop her proud shoulders. She would need to throw her Katana off to the side after all, not wanting to slice and dice the female. She unclipped the belt and carefully took it off, throwing it to the opposite side of the half-eaten prized rabbit carcass. There had been a hunting knife strapped to her ankle, and she pulled it out of it’s cute little sheath. Now they were even, and Axelle wasn’t too sure about the fight or winning anymore. She wasn’t trained with using the little hunting knife as a sword, and if she were to win this fight, it would be by chance. Screw it. She stepped forward toward the femme, so now they were facing each other at a respectful distance. Then, Axelle lunged- blade at a stabbing position and she aimed for the female’s shoulder. She wasn’t trying to inflict any serious injuries, but yet she didn’t really care. She had to keep the thought in mind, though, as she was fighting and they were playing with sharp things here. She didn’t have the intentions of killing the other, but she might forget that as the fight continued. Time seemed to go so slow from when she began running towards the other, to the time of contact. She wasn’t sure if the blade had connected with what she wanted, but she hoped so. Hell, she would be happy if it grazed the surface- anything really. .waterbeads-ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-size:12px; text-align:right;} .waterbeads b {font-weight:bold; color:#a48da4; letter-spacing:1px} .waterbeads p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .waterbeads {margin:0 auto; background-color:#a3676b; background-image:url(http://i54.tinypic.com/qxtjcp.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding: 230px 0px 10px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#c89eaa; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:.8px; line-height:12px; text-align:justify; width:400px; border:1px solid #50333a; margin:0 auto;} </style>
- Terra - 01-10-2012
out of character text Terra watched the larger weapon be thrown to the side with some relief. She didn't know how to fight, and didn't feel the particular urge to commit suicide by pitting herself against something so large on her first go. Maybe when she had more practice Terra would be willing to go against a sword with her dagger, but for now it was best to avoid such a situation. At least until she had learned some more about how to use it. Terra watched a blade that matched her own be pulled off, and grinned. It looked tiny in the large optime's paws. At least a dagger suited Terra's small nature.

The slow motion finally became normal again as the other femme darted out of the way of Axelle’s blade. She swiveled around her, which already told Axelle, from experience, that she would try to get her from behind. Axelle spun around real quick, and blocked the other’s slice with her arm, by knocking the female’s arm away from her own flesh. She figured she would have to play defensive, since she really didn’t know how to fight with a small knife. She guessed just block, duck, and lunge, but there must have been more to it. She wasn’t aware of the special moves, just the special moves to get out of the way so that she wouldn’t be cut. She managed to save her own ass from the other’s swift move, but would she be able to do that again? That was a question that she didn’t even know. Axelle figured she would try again. She stepped toward her and once more attempted to dig her blade into the other’s arm, at least. She aimed for the shoulder area, but she might move out of the way again this time and she would have to pull something swift to try to maneuver not getting hurt again. The first swift move was pure luck. Maybe this little challenge was good for her. Now, when facing Itzal again, she would know something about the movements. This also could train her in defense even with her Katana. It was basically the same thing, only a dagger was a hundred times smaller. The contact was a bitch because one had to be sooo much closer to their opponent to actually be able to cut at them. She thought it sucked. Axelle didn’t like fighting with kitchen knives like these. She figured it was extra dangerous, when one could just fight with Katanas and not risk getting their throat sliced in such close ranges. #319 #an-textduo {width:500px;margin:0px auto;text-align:justify;letter-spacing:.5px; word-spacing:1px;font-size:14px;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;line-height:15px;} #an-textduo p {text-indent:30px;} #an-textduo b {font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1px; word-spacing:2px;} #an-textduo.ooc {text-align:right;font-size:10px;padding:0px;} #an-textduo.top {background-image:url(http://i869.photobucket.com/albums/ab25 ... oodtop.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;background-color:transparent;} #an-textduo.bottom {background-image:url(http://i869.photobucket.com/albums/ab25 ... bottom.png);background-position:bottom center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-bottom:175px;} #an-textduo.wc {text-align:right;font-size:10px;padding:0px;} </style>
- Terra - 01-19-2012
out of character text Daggers were perfect in Terra's mind, an extension of her claws, though larger and stealthier. Already a sneak and plotter, a weapon that put her inside the other's comfort zone was a great advantage for Terra. She could move perfectly comfortable, even throwing her teeth in for good measure. She wasn't quite quick enough at the attack this time though, trying to mimic a block she'd seen. The knife ran across her arm, a thin cut that bled into the ground.

A little burst of happiness fluttered in her stomach as she saw her blade come in contact. It wasn’t a major wound, but it was something that brought her closer to weakening the female, who she still didn’t know her name. All this effort for a name and a half eaten rabbit… The whole situation still sounded crazy to her, but she was already in it and to back out was to lose- and she wasn’t having that. The other snapped at her hand, but she moved just in time. Then before she really could see what was coming, she saw the metallic flash of the dagger being rammed toward her stomach, and she jumped backwards just in time to avoid a serious injury. The blade did graze her skin a bit, leaving a thin, bloody line forming over a few abdominal muscles. It wasn’t deep at all and would heal up quickly with little scarring, but it would’ve been a bad wound if she didn’t pay attention to her footwork in training. She looked up at the femme with a ‘Are you serious?!’ kind of expression, but then nodded. It was now more serious than she thought. She wasn’t really trying to injure the other, but now she will try. She took the few seconds she had to spare to come up with a game plan, and to relax her muscles a bit. Then she stepped forward, dagger at the ready and pushed it towards the other’s shoulder. Even if it grazed the area, she would be happy. She needed to inflict something to ensure this fight would be over soon. When she was in the close proximity of the other, she used her footwork to try to trip her from behind by leaving a leg a little extracted behind her. This also sacrificed some of her own balance, though. Hopefully, she wouldn’t regret it. #316 #an-textduo {width:500px;margin:0px auto;text-align:justify;letter-spacing:.5px; word-spacing:1px;font-size:14px;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;line-height:15px;} #an-textduo p {text-indent:30px;} #an-textduo b {font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1px; word-spacing:2px;} #an-textduo.ooc {text-align:right;font-size:10px;padding:0px;} #an-textduo.top {background-image:url(http://i869.photobucket.com/albums/ab25 ... oodtop.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;background-color:transparent;} #an-textduo.bottom {background-image:url(http://i869.photobucket.com/albums/ab25 ... bottom.png);background-position:bottom center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-bottom:175px;} #an-textduo.wc {text-align:right;font-size:10px;padding:0px;} </style>
- Terra - 02-06-2012
out of character text Using her dagger was hard. Even with them in the right grip, hitting against muscle was difficult. Terra didn't have any blood lust, so seeing the wound was simply a note in the back of her mind, telling her how bad the injury was, and whether or not it would effect her opponent. Unfortunately it was a shallow cut. Would probably bleed a fair bit, but would do nothing more than sting slightly. Trying to recollect herself Terra stepped back, trying to think. There was really only a handful of moves that she really knew, with her last block failed. She knew to block with her forearm, how to stab, how to slice, and how to flip her dagger out of hiding. That was it. That left her in a pretty bad position.

[Points: 3]
Their little duel was lasting longer than she thought, and it needed to end soon. Axelle apparently had more experience with the blade than the other femme, but she was good with getting out of the way of aimed stabs. Axelle noted that she had been doing a pretty good job of not getting sliced up so bad, but then again she wasn’t inflicting enough damage to her satisfaction. Her last stab at the girl didn’t seem to be as successful as she would have liked, seeing that she spun out of the way. She looked a bit panicked when she finally turned back to face Axelle, and she smiled widely and yelled over to her, ”Wanna give up yet?” Axelle wouldn’t hold it against her if she did, and she had the urge to offer her lessons if she wanted them- but she wouldn’t open her mouth unless asked. Axelle was light on her feet and she danced around the femme with ease and the dagger gripped in her hand. At this state, she could easily dodge any close range attack and if she was accurate enough even maybe make a good stab at something. So she went for it, hoping the female would be too focused on her question to properly react. She ducked down and attempted to drive her dagger into the other’s knee. The move was quick and she quickly stabbed, unknowing if she really drove it home or not, and pulled her weapon back and danced back away from the other’s personal space. She didn’t even look down to see if the dagger had the other’s blood dripping from it. ”Question still stands.” She wasn’t really out of breath, despite dancing and hopping around, but she was looking rather hyper. She was ready- she had this in the palm of her hand. #307 #an-textduo {width:500px;margin:0px auto;text-align:justify;letter-spacing:.5px; word-spacing:1px;font-size:14px;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;line-height:15px;} #an-textduo p {text-indent:30px;} #an-textduo b {font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1px; word-spacing:2px;} #an-textduo.ooc {text-align:right;font-size:10px;padding:0px;} #an-textduo.top {background-image:url(http://i869.photobucket.com/albums/ab25 ... oodtop.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;background-color:transparent;} #an-textduo.bottom {background-image:url(http://i869.photobucket.com/albums/ab25 ... bottom.png);background-position:bottom center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-bottom:175px;} #an-textduo.wc {text-align:right;font-size:10px;padding:0px;} </style>
- Terra - 02-15-2012
out of character text Terra bared her teeth at the offer of surrender. She wasn't someone to give up so easily, even if it was clear she was outclassed. Terra wasn't quick enough this time, and barely managed to move her leg back. A shallow stab hit above her kneecap, blood running down. Moving would be harder now. Terra growled softly, trying to figure out what would be a good move next. Axelle's words had her glancing back to her opponent. She didn't even seem winded by this. Terra should never have entered this duel. Well, she did learn some things about fighting at least.

Axelle stopped dancing as soon as she saw the other sit down. She put her weapon away, too, an anklet around her ankle that housed her dagger, and sat down across from her with one leg bent to her chest and the other Indian style. ”Nice to meet’cha Terra.” She dipped her head in respect for the smaller femme. ”Your knife skills aren’t that bad.” It was a good compliment coming from a Warrior in Anathema. Axelle watched Terra check out her wound. She didn’t bring her bag with her this time, or else she would’ve had something in there to wrap it with. She wasn’t a medic or anything, but she did always go places prepared – except for today. The cut on her stomach began to dry up as it was pretty shallow, and she hadn’t acquired anything else that serious. Axelle was pretty proud of herself; she came out of her first fight with ‘kitchen knives’ without any serious injuries. And to think she was so nervous about their whole duel. ”Are you alright?” She asked after a few minutes of silence, and she looked up at Terra. Axelle was now holding herself up with one arm behind her, while the other rested on top of the bent knee. It was a rather relaxed looking position; her guard wasn’t up at all, knowing that she would be able to defend herself indefinitely if Terra were to pull a fast one. However, it was unlikely with the degree of her wounds. Axelle wasn’t worried at all. She reached over to the side and grabbed her belt and Katana and dragged it over, closer to where she was sitting. That’s when she noticed the rabbit, which she didn’t quite want anymore. ”You can keep the rabbit, dear. I’m not exactly hungry anymore.” She was kind with it, and tried her hardest not to sound skank because that’s how she felt while looking at the half eaten thing. Its insides spilling out into the grass, making a bloody little lake, without a hungry wolf to lap them up. The sight of the whole thing actually made her a little nauseous. The sight was getting extra revolting the more she stared at the little carcass. She stood up in her spot, and clipped her belt back around her waist. She waited around to make sure the other was alright before she would depart. There was a few things that needed to be done... like feeding her roomie- Frex, the cat. He's probably pissed that I didn't leave him anything out... #428 #an-textduo {width:500px;margin:0px auto;text-align:justify;letter-spacing:.5px; word-spacing:1px;font-size:14px;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;line-height:15px;} #an-textduo p {text-indent:30px;} #an-textduo b {font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1px; word-spacing:2px;} #an-textduo.ooc {text-align:right;font-size:10px;padding:0px;} #an-textduo.top {background-image:url(http://i869.photobucket.com/albums/ab25 ... oodtop.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;background-color:transparent;} #an-textduo.bottom {background-image:url(http://i869.photobucket.com/albums/ab25 ... bottom.png);background-position:bottom center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-bottom:175px;} #an-textduo.wc {text-align:right;font-size:10px;padding:0px;} </style>
- Terra - 02-27-2012
out of character text Terra's tail wagged softly as she was complimented on her implement of the dagger she'd stolen. There was still a lot of improvement needed, practicing the simple motions that Dresden had taught her not seeming to be enough now that she'd had a chance to try it out against a real opponent. Ducking her head she licked her wounds, keeping it clean and making sure that the blood flow slowed. Hearing Axelle turn down the rabbit had her smiling happily.
