Playfully Terra leaped through the snow. Twisting around she stared at the patterns she'd left. From the top of the hill she could see the whole design, a maze warping around forming an old coyote symbol that meant travelers welcome. It was meaningless, where no one knew what it meant and where no lands were claimed. She'd enjoyed forming it all the same though, despite it's messy appearance. It was so bright against the snow. Those tracking through would be sure to get caught in her tracks, as thick and worn as they were.

Traipsing out of his home pack's territory, the young lad had soon found himself wondering aimlessly in the freezing snow, with nothing more than his spear and usual clothing upon him. Freezing water soaked the ends of his trousers from where he had walked through snow, the damp material sticking to him and irritating him, much like the cold wind was annoying him too; it was his first true winter and the young lad was quickly growing tired of all the cold, damp, darkness that came with the season. Although on of the few things he liked about winter was the snow and how it changed the landscape from colours to that of white, giving him more camouflage then he normally would have; despite this he still wore dark clothing, but for warmth rather than to his his starling white coat. Silently he padded around. Occasionally looking back to see the trail of footprint in the clear snow that followed behind him; he liked that part of winter too, foot prints and the ability to make shapes and trails in the snow. Choosing his path carefully, so that he walked on stable ground and avoided the deeper part of the snow, the young lad's eyes soon fell upon a trail created by someone other than himself; breathing in he finally noticed a strangers scent. Pulling himself up as tall as he could, he cast his eyes out in search of the strange, body and mind both alert for whomever was out there. Seeing no one, he hesitated, staring at the tracks in the snow for a few moments in complete silence. Someone was there, he was sure of that much; yet he could not see them and his mind began to race and conjure up scenes from horror tales he had heard during his short life. Backing away slowly from the unknown trails, he turned and began to run aimlessly through the snow, right up until something snagged at his legs; something concealed beneath the snows layers. Falling forward, he threw his arms out in front of himself in an attempt to break his fall and quickly found himself embedded in the snow, it's cold touch biting and chilling him all over. .higab b {font-weight:bold; color:#b9c4ab; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #1b280a; } .higab p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .higab {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#ae9a79; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/OebmG.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 180px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#d0d1b7; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .higab p b:before { content: open-quote; } .higab p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Terra - 12-21-2011
OOC here.
There, a little ways down, was the source of the noise. A male luperci had come across her symbol. She couldn't tell what species he was, as he wore clothing over top, disguising any distinguishing traits, and the distance too far to catch the scent. Terra watched with interest as the male paused, studying the symbol. He didn't seem to know what to make of it, eventually throwing himself into a blind panic. Terra laughed, the echoes bounding over the snow.
