- Soran Aatte - 01-03-2012 [html] Private Nani/James-face <3 <3 Forward dated to the 5th of Jan please? For the timeline's sake?
It was dawn, all around the sky was beginning to lighten, the birds were calling out in a loud chorus, chirruping away to one another, signalling that the day was upon them. Somehow the birds always knew when to awaken, the first glimmer of light that touched their skulls roused them and soon enough the land was filled with birdsong. It was simply the way, though during the winter months the lands were quieter, the birds that remained for the Canadian winters always seemed a little quieter, they were definitely more hardy than the summer time birds, but they were also far less inclined to sing. It had snowed during the light, another layer of powder had been added to the already fairly thick snow banks that covered the lands. All was still and quiet, although there was a rather cold breeze blowing through the lands, a few small flakes of snow fell from the sky, one landed on a dark shape's snout. Soran let out a chuckle and licked the melting droplet from the tip of her nose as she walked. She was in her Optime form again and relishing it, the truth was that she had been in her Lupus form for many days now, her new pack mates seemed to prefer the form and Soran did not like leaning down to look at her new family members and so she had been in her Lupus form as well, but now, standing tall and having her mane blow about her shoulders, that was wonderful, it was very freeing. The sable lady had been walking for some time, she had decided that it was time to go and see her pale almost-daughter once again, to see her beloved Naniko; there had been many changes in her life since she had last seen the girl and she wanted to update her, so much had happened after all. The dark female had left her former pack since she had last seen the girl, helping her good friends start up a new pack, she had also taken a mate and her younger daughters had arrived, there was so much that Nani needed to know. The dark female smiled to herself as she walked, her adoptive grandchildren would be much bigger by now. Remembering her adoptive grandchildren brought a small spark of guilt to the dark female's chest, she had left Mati and Haven in the southern lands, she had had to leave though, it had been the right time, she hoped that they would understand, that they would know that if they ever needed her then all they would have to do would be to send a message and then she would charge down the lands to help them. This move was the right thing for her, she felt needed in New Dawn, that she could really make a difference. The green eyed lady wanted to tell Naniko all of this, she wanted to know what had happened in her pack since the last time that she had seen her; she already had a long list of questions to ask her pale daughter, she hoped that she was in a talkative mood. Perhaps this meeting would be without the awkwardness of the last as well, after all she was no longer a member of Crimson Dreams, surely that would be something that Naniko would be pleased about, hopefully they could have a proper mother-daughter talk this time. The sable mother smiled as she looked around at the snow covered lands, she began to walk a little more briskly. Soon enough she found herself at the borders and she slowed her pace down to a stop, the dark female carefully smoothed her mane down, scanning the lands with her jade eyes; there did not seem to be any sign of anyone yet, at least not close to where she was. The dark female rubbed a hand across her eyes before tipping her head backwards, raising her head to the sky she opened her maw and let out a loud call for her daughter, calling for her to come and see her, letting her know that she had a great deal of news for the pallid female. A smile tugged at her lips once again as she looked around the lands, it seemed that now all she had left to do would be to wait, she hoped that Nani would be as pleased to see her as she knew she would be to see her pale daughter, despite all of the troubles that they had shared, she still loved her pale girl so much, as much as her own children, she was so important to her. .sorangift b {font-weight:bold; color:#e9f2f9;} .sorangift p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .sorangift {margin:0 auto; width:400px; background-color:#9a9a8d; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v469/ ... oran-1.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #BFA1A5; outline:1px solid #000000; padding: 250px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#525662; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #;letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> wc: 782

He had meat every day, a nice place to sleep, and a family that loved him. He had never been to another place, but knew that this pack had to be one of the best. It was run very efficiently. Severus noticed more and more of these little details as he grew – his mother ran Anathema like a well-oiled machine, each canine having their own rank and place in the hierarchy. He’d spent a lot of time with the pup-sitter Pontiac and with other canines in the pack because his mother was the leader and did not have as much time as she wanted to hang around with her children…but he did not fault her for this. Severus could understand how important his mother’s role was to the way that the pack worked. He’d met many pack members and had an appreciation for each one, even the Zepars despite their low ranks.
He gave an indignant yap as the bone was pulled from his jaws. Severus looked to the left, where he was greeted with the sight of his brother’s fat rear end waddling away from him. He scrambled up to his feet, growling loudly and following the more darkly colored male as he disappeared into their mother’s den. Hopefully she would be inside and he could ask her to yell at Judas for him. He knew that his brother wouldn’t listen to a word that he would say, and hoped that even just the sight of Naniko would make his cruel sibling drop the bone where he stood. It just wasn’t fair for Judas to think he could take everything he wanted…Severus was still slightly smaller than his brother, and there was no way that he could out-muscle him to get his bone back. Someday, he wished, he would grow bigger and stronger than Judas. Then he would teach his sneaky brother a lesson!
Naniko was surprised to hear a familiar voice ringing through the territory, and she looked to the two pups that sat before her. Each one’s attention had turned toward her rather than being on one another now, staring eagerly at her with silver and red eyes. Running would keep Severus warm, and as long as he had his brother around for entertainment then Judas would likely come with her as well. It was early in the morning and still quite chilly out…but as long as they kept up a steady pace the three would be able to keep warm enough. She had been meaning to find a coat or some kind of wrap for the boys so that they would be warmer, but hadn’t been able to find anything that looked like it could fit a luperci in lupus form. Most clothing out there was designed for human use, not animal.
The three wolves started out into the brisk morning air, jogging lightly toward the source of the howl. Each canine looked very different; Naniko’s pelt was a pristine white coloration, making her blend into the snow that they padded through, and each one of the boys was of a darker hue. Judas blended into the surroundings like a log, Severus like a boulder. She was lucky that the boys had been born with such fortunate coloration…white was a difficult pelt color to have ¾ of the time. She looked back at them as they went, wanting to be sure that both were still following. Naniko knew not to go too quickly, lest the pups tire out too early…but she also wanted to get to the borders as fast as she could to greet Soran. She felt certain that Soran was the one who had called…the older luperci had a voice that she would recognize better than anyone elses’. A voice from her childhood.
They were nearly to the border by the time the mother looked back behind her to check on the pups once more. They were gone. She had been humming to herself as she walked, charting the area in her head to add onto the map that she was working on in her den, and hadn’t been paying as much attention to the pups as she should have. They should have known better than to wander off again…but she couldn’t be too upset with them. They would be adults soon and if they wanted to go off and get into trouble then there wasn’t much she could do about it now. Confining them to the cave like she had been just wasn’t really working. Pups could only be grounded for so long before they would fight it; whether it was cold outside or not didn’t matter to a pup who wanted their freedom. Naniko would deal with them later. She neared the female and gave a small bark to let her know that she’d been spotted, sending snow spraying off to both sides as she gleefully approached. ”Soran!” |
