- Caprica D'Angelo - 02-07-2012
Words: 300+ After her last visit, Caprica had been a little embarrassed to show her face - especially with the bay mare trailing her, she stood out as the same woman who had caused all the trouble with the horses. Not a reputation the Anatheman woman appreciated. She would rather be known for her hoarder's collection of beautiful objects, her delicious tasting recipes or her tree-trunk upper arms that could slice a bear in half with a katana. Well, that wasn't exactly what happened, but it wasn't so far off. She allowed herself a grin at the thought. That's it, just smile it all away, girl. Someone smiled back, a stranger who thought she meant to beam at them and although this inspired a swift change to a haughty scowl - watch it, fella - Caprica felt a little better, tying her mare - very, very carefully - to a tree half-way up the path that led from the lake to her woven wooden house. This was here all-year round, or would be from now on - she'd made it weeks before she ever even heard of the festival. It was only young hazel trees naturally bent into shape, but it provided a sort of roof and walls. Caprica was a big fan of not having to walk too far. So when she made her excursions to tap the Sugarwood trees, she thought it best to have somewhere to stay. Of course, it was amazingly handy for the festival too.

Neela dozed gently, her nose pressed into her thigh and tail wrapped around her head. Neela was currently situated in a hollow between several bushes near the lake which she had claimed as a sleeping area while she was staying at the festival. The barrel which housed her trading supplies - mostly whiskey and a few furs by this point - was placed blocking the largest of the gaps left by the bushes, giving the collie some cover from the wind. Combine that with a very comfy bear fur that had been spread across the ground and all in all Neela had a rather cosy sleeping place, well suited to sleeping off the last nights whiskey. With the majority of her trading done Neela had become somewhat nocturnal recently, preferring to be awake more for the festivities that occurred after the sun had set and the fires were lit than the trading during the day The collie didn't find herself overly bothered by this reversal of her sleep pattern; long journeys on the Meria had taught her to adapt when situations required her to sleep abnormally. Noises outside, footsteps and the voices of strangers, drew Neela from her sleep, the collie hybrid's ears twitching irritably as she emerged into the land of the living and gazed around her makeshift shelter; the low light breaking through the leaves indicating that it was around evening. Grumbling lowly to herself Neela yawned, a long action which displayed the rows of small but sharp teeth sitting in her mouth, and then stuck her head out through the leaves. Neela likely appeared rather odd, a head and nothing else sticking out of the bushes but at the moment she didn’t care. Instead she was taken up with gazing around at the scenery. Several canines of varying breeds and sizes were spread around the shore of the lake a few metres away and Neela gazed over curiously, looking to see if there was anybody she recognised. .risinghope b {font-weight:bold; color:#a38750; letter-spacing:.5px} .risinghope p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .risinghope {margin:0 auto; width:600px; background-color:#471e00; background-image:url(http://i43.tinypic.com/1vif8.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:3px double #885004; padding: 330px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#a27e36; letter-spacing:.5px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> 332+
- Caprica D'Angelo - 02-18-2012
Words:

The concerned gaze quickly turned to amusement as the younger woman jumped backwards in shock at Neela's appearance, slipping on the ice and landing solidly on the ice. The impact looked, and sounded, painful; the sound accented by breaking glass as Caprica dropped a bottle of wine which smashed against the hard ice. Neela winced and concern broke through her amusement at the spectacle, lacing her voice as she called out, "Cap? Ya okay?" Neela padded forward out of the bush, arcing her back as she stretched out her back muscles before trotting over to Caprica, carefully making her way onto the ice. Neela hovered her eyes and nose over Caprica's body as the collie strode along her, thankfully detecting no signs of blood nor serious injury. Satisfied that Caprica's pride seemed more damaged than her actual body Neela nosed her muzzle agains't the younger female's cheek, giving her ears a quick licking, "Cmon Cap, up ya get." .risinghope b {font-weight:bold; color:#a38750; letter-spacing:.5px} .risinghope p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .risinghope {margin:0 auto; width:600px; background-color:#471e00; background-image:url(http://i43.tinypic.com/1vif8.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:3px double #885004; padding: 330px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#a27e36; letter-spacing:.5px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> 186+
- Caprica D'Angelo - 03-15-2012 Caprica turned her head to lie sideways on the ice, looking out over the deep purple wine stain. She watched it flowing across the sheer surface with a rather sombre expression, and then felt a touch on her cheek, heard a familiar voice. She lay unmoving for another moment, only turning her head to look at Neela with a pained grimace. Then she couldn't hold it, and her face split into raucous giggles. "You saw nothing," she told the collie as she pushed herself up onto her elbows. "Hi, Neela. Good to see ya! Been here long?" Caprica was certain she wasn't going to make it onto her feet without performing some kind of similar stunt - plus, quite a few portions of her anatomy were beginning to ache. She wanted to delay a little and gather her wits before trying to get back to shore. |
