- Tola Dara - 02-24-2012
Word Count → 578 :: Fore-dated to 2/25/12, evening. They'd stopped at the base of the mountain shortly after dusk, building their camp around a circle of rocks that blocked them from the wind and from an easy view. Tola felt better that evening, beginning to come back to herself as the sun went down and the moon rose again. It was fuller than it had been before, and she felt more...normal than she had a few days prior. More energetic. She paced around the fire, stretching her limbs and working out excess energy. It was no good, though, and she growled to herself, petting the daggers on her hips as she stalked around the fire. Aljan watched from his bed on Chantrea's back, his head ducked down and his ears pressed back with an intent look on his face. Usually when she got worked up--at least for no good reason--Aljan would attack, and they would tumble a bit. But she was too tense now; if he leapt, she'd probably kill him. So Aljan pressed down tighter in his basket, and watched her closely, waiting for the hunter-male to come back and calm her down. Tola, for her part, didn't feel the Coon's eyes on her; she was too busy watching the dancing light, walking around the fire as though stalking it. She might have leaped into the flames, chasing an unknown shadow, if a rock didn't hit her in the back of the head just then; not hard enough to injure her, but enough to hurt. She spun around with a little growl, looking up the slope with a sharp glint in her eyes. She couldn't see the attacker, though, no matter how hard she looked. The light didn't rise up the slope enough, and it had already grown too dark. She could only just make out shadows behind rocks, but there were too many of them to tell which was Aleksei. She turned back to the fire, rubbing her head a bit, and then nearly fell as another rock hit her. With a rumbling bark, she dashed up the mountain, bending in half to catch her hands on the rocks and pull herself up faster as she went. She was just hurtling around a boulder when the club hit her, and she went down with a yelp. She didn't stay down, though; he didn't hit her hard enough for that. They were simply expending energy, and as she slipped a dagger out of its holster and aimed for his ribs, Aleksei danced back and hit her again, leaving a bruise along her stomach. She slashed the dagger along his leg, barely drawing blood thanks to his quick step, but when he hit her again, this time on the knee, she had to concede the victory. She lay on the hard ground, and was left wheezing softly as he took his time tucking both the slingshot and the bat back into his belt. Then he bent, lifting a cougar onto his shoulder, and left her there, walking down to the camp to lay it beside the fire and begin skinning their dinner before they ate. That was alright; it was perfect. If he'd tried to help her up, she'd have started fighting again, because she didn't want him touching her right now. Still, she took a long moment to catch her breath, and quietly contemplate revenge, staring up into the darkened sky and narrowing her eyes at the billions of tiny stars. .heraldictxt-2 {font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; letter-spacing:0px; word-spacing:2px; text-align: left; margin:0px 25px; padding:0px 95px 0px 0px; background-image:url(http://soulsrpg.com/images/pride/templa ... plate2.png); background-repeat:repeat-y; background-position: top right;} .heraldictxt-2 p.ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:12px; text-align:justify; text-indent:0px; padding:0px 5px;} .heraldictxt-2 p.ooc + p {padding:0px 5px;} .heraldictxt-2 .wc {text-transform: uppercase; font-weight:bold;} .heraldictxt-2 p {text-indent: 25px; margin:0px; padding:10px 5px;} .heraldictxt-2 b {letter-spacing:.05em;} </style>
- Vikas Limonchenko - 02-24-2012
OOC: no clothes~

That had been exactly what she needed, and the twinges of pain throughout her body would prevent her from trying again any time soon. The short beating would, in fact, probably last her until at least the half-moon, when she would attack again. For the moment, she plotted that day, and then thought of what sort of revenge she would take when she returned to camp. Perhaps she would ruin his skinning, or hide his slingshot...if she could get it off his belt. That would be troublesome. He didn't even take it off when he slept, as far as she knew; a challenge. She would be more than happy to conquer it. Tola was drifting in and out of thought, through the stars, when the scent hit her, and she tensed up all over again, her hand clenching around the dagger still in her hand. Her eyes became more focused, and she let a low, rumbling growl crawl up her throat as the creature approached. She rolled swiftly to her feet, hovering in a crouch as she turned to glare at the wolf a few feet away. He spoke, hesitantly, and she answered with another growl, her lips pulling back from her teeth in a nasty snarl that may have belayed the fact that she was about to lunge for him. He wasn't even wearing clothes. That sort of indecency was exactly what she would expect from their kind; the fact that he was stupid enough to approach a dog would just make it easier to kill him. She arched her spine, the fur there standing on end though it was hardly visible beneath her coverings, and would have crawled forward with her hands, if she hadn't then remembered she was in Optime; instead, she leaped to her feet, letting out a braying howl that carried down the mountain to Aleksei. She barely got to lunge for the gray beast when the rock hit her in the back of the head, stunning her, and sent her to her knees. He'd hit harder that time, and she could feel where the sharp edge of the stone had cut into the back of her head. Her skull ached, and she was left growling at the wolf's feet, clutching her head and trying to bring the pain under control. In the time that she had, Aleksei had ascended the mountain, and stood just behind her with another rock ready in his slingshot. He nudged her with his foot when she tried to stand, making his message clear; she succumbed to growls, and only lifted her head enough to glare at the wolf with dark, hateful eyes. "She don't take kindly to your kind," Aleksei grumbled, and the look he shot the younger male indicated he didn't take too kindly to the boy's presence. It was bad enough Tola was freaking out over the moon like the crazy bitch she was; the male's approach only added more problems to Alek's plate. .heraldictxt-2 {font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; letter-spacing:0px; word-spacing:2px; text-align: left; margin:0px 25px; padding:0px 95px 0px 0px; background-image:url(http://soulsrpg.com/images/pride/templa ... plate2.png); background-repeat:repeat-y; background-position: top right;} .heraldictxt-2 p.ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:12px; text-align:justify; text-indent:0px; padding:0px 5px;} .heraldictxt-2 p.ooc + p {padding:0px 5px;} .heraldictxt-2 .wc {text-transform: uppercase; font-weight:bold;} .heraldictxt-2 p {text-indent: 25px; margin:0px; padding:10px 5px;} .heraldictxt-2 b {letter-spacing:.05em;} </style>
- Vikas Limonchenko - 02-25-2012
OOC:
