- Hadley - 03-07-2012 Hadley had gathered his wits together and set out. Spring was coming close, and he knew that when it came they would begin seriously rebuilding. With his meager set of skills for helping build stuff Hadley decided to go off and work on collecting supplies for when that day came. He never had found the set of tools that he'd been looking for the last time he came out, interrupted by meeting with Omni. That was alright though. He would do it this time. Hadley would come back with the tools needed, and hopefully learn enough about building before the snow finished melting to actually be useful in building. Quietly he moved through the woods, avoiding the areas that seemed to have higher traffic through them. It was easy to avoid others, with most canines preferring staying in their packs. Luckily for him Hadley came across an abandoned campsite. Standing on the edge Hadley nervously looked around. He sniffed the air quietly, not picking up on the scent of anyone who had been here. He sidled in, ready to jump out of his skin if surprised. Nothing looked like it had been touched for at least a month. Shifting through what was there Hadley found a small bag, containing what looked like some tools. That would be useful, if he could figure out what they were. - Anu - 03-08-2012
thanks for starting!!
- Hadley - 03-08-2012 The gentle voice that greeted him startled Hadley. He must have been wrong about the site being abandoned. Immediately he crouched down, ears flattened and tail tucked. Growing brave was more difficult than he'd thought. It wasn't synonymous with being free like he had thought. Hadley still had to fight off the idea that he was a slave, that he actually had rights of a sort. The various tools that he'd been looking for clattered to the ground, making plenty of noise. Nervously he glanced over at the one who had frightened him. His eyes remained on the ground, not wanting to offend. The female had soft silver fur on her body. The scent of a pack clung heavily to her, and it was slightly familiar. Sorry. Thought this site was abandoned. His words were quiet, but he wasn't touched. Slowly he backed away, increasing distance between them. He partly straightened up, ready to crouch back down if necessary. - Anu - 03-16-2012
im slow this week -_-;;
- Hadley - 03-16-2012 His ears twitched, relieved as it was confirmed that the site was indeed abandoned. He wasn't interrupting anyone or doing anything wrong by being there. That was a relief. A small bit of tension eased from his body with that small sentence. He was before someone he viewed as superior to his lowly self, but at least he wasn't doing anything that he could get punished for. His gaze on the ground he spotted the tools that had ended up scattering all over the place. He lifted his head slightly as she introduced herself. Hadley. From Casa di Cavalieri. His home. He finally had a home, as strange as that thought was. A place he claimed as his own and knew he belonged to. It was nice. He carefully moved back over to the dropped tools, making sure to give her plenty of space as he began picking them up again. I...came to get some tools for repairs... His words were quiet and hesitant, almost apologetic in nature as he cleaned up. - Anu - 03-20-2012

- Hadley - 03-20-2012 Gathering the early blossoms? Hadley was confused for a moment by that. Looking around he realized how close spring was, small buds forming on the trees and plants as they prepared for it. Some of them probably had medicinal use or was edible. Hadley didn't know much about it, but he knew if he was with Amy he'd probably have been set to the task of collecting them to sell later on. It seemed there was nothing Amy didn't know about. He didn't realize the reason for that knowledge was because she continually traded for more, simply viewing her as someone impossible to conquer, all knowing and all reaching. Asked if he was a craftsman Hadley blushed. He most certainly wasn't that. He lacked the skill. Hadley had picked up some basic carving knowledge, but it wasn't nearly good enough for him to be considered a craftsman. No. I know some, but not a craftsman. Awkwardly he scratched at his ear, wondering how to explain this better. She probably thought it was silly for him to be out getting tools in such a manner. Was thinking maybe a pack mate could use it. To repair the houses. Yes, his wording was rather cut up, but he certainly didn't think he was good enough to fix it with his small skills. - Anu - 03-27-2012
sorry for the wait
- Hadley - 03-27-2012 It's fine A breath he didn't know he'd been holding was released at the simple nod. She approved, relieving the rest of his anxiety. His dependent nature hadn't been cured yet, leaving him grasping for others to tell him what was needed, what was right. Small independent streaks occasionally shot through, such as his choice to come out here. Weaning him off that fear and need of others was a very slow process though. The silvery wolf seemed very gentle, agreeing with what he had said with little fuss. Asked if it was for the summer Hadley nodded. With the tools secure again he shuffled back to allow her room to wander. His eyes tracked her, part of him wishing that she would speak, so maybe he could talk to her instead of answering questions back and forth, try to be better. The larger part was simply relieved that her attention was off him, instead focused on a blade of grass. Hadley looked at it curiously, not really understanding. There was nothing special about it. At least not in his eyes. Shrugging Hadley turned, looking for other supplies that could benefit his pack. Perhaps 'nails' even, an item he had heard Amy mention being used in building. - Anu - 04-26-2012
sorry for the wait! We can close this soon if youd like.
- Hadley - 04-26-2012 Sounds good The camp was small. It didn't look like Hadley would find anything more than the small selection he'd already picked up. Hadley still moved through, sticking his head into what had probably been the den area. There was an old fur in there, but it wasn't what he was looking for. Withdrawing he moved on, hoping not to disturb the nice female that was there with him too much. It had been a comfortable silence for him, used to not talking at all. His presence was something others ignored. When she did speak he focused, expecting a command for a moment before it began to wash over him. He hadn't known that about the sole, belonging to another pack. Of course it made sense, Jazper hadn't been born alpha. Hadley just hadn't thought about it. He is...safe. The words were quiet, agreeing with the words, not really having anything more to add. Hadley wasn't close to the leaders. He wasn't really close with anyone. The luna he had a slightly different opinion on. Jazper might be safe, but Anann frightened him. She was so large, confidant, strong. She reminded him of Amy in some ways. Hadley was growing used to her, but he still wasn't entirely comfortable around her. His crooked ear straightened for a moment, hearing about her son. [b]You...have a son? He hoped that she didn't mind him asking about that. |
