- Ulilohi Ehn - 03-14-2012
<style>.marit{width:90%; margin:auto;}.marit p {text-indent:0;}</style> Matteo is being exiled from AniWaya for crimes committed in the past two months. Ulilohi found herself cold, for once. Ever since she came here she had dreaded this moment. Sure enough, as it would happen in any pack or tribe, a criminal had appeared amongst them. She had spoken to him the day before, after seizing him with the help of the crafter, Simcha. The criminal was kept in the prisoner's hut, where she had questioned him. Anatole and numerous others told her of how he had assaulted Anatole unprovoked, at least physically. Further conversations with other key members confirmed her growing dread. Claudius had mentioned that trouble had been following close on his heels when Matteo first came here. When she learned from the Inferni leader how Matteo had come to them, presenting himself as an AniWayan and seeking to spy for the clan, the brown-pelted woman had not known what to think. Could this Matteo be trusted? In her mind, there was simply no chance that Matteo had not spied on them for Inferni. Why else would he volunteer to them? She did not really blame the coyote clan for their curiosity. They were too far away for her to worry anyway. The warrior was not so weak that she could not pick out the real threats from the fake on the horizon, and here stood one individual, Matteo, as one of them. Simcha had secured the hands of the criminal, but held him close as well as they waited for the curious eyes of her tribesmembers to arrive and look at him. He could not run away from this; he had to bear the shame, for all to see, for having decieved his family and his mate. The councilwoman could not imagine what it must be like to find out one's mate was to be exiled for treason and assault, but it was not hard to understand that it was difficult. Still, her heart had no spare room for sympathies when the time came to announce his misdeeds and his verdict. She could not be weak in such situations; she had to show them that she helped keep them safe from the likes of him. "AniWayans, Unalihelitseti. I have called you to here so you can witness and aid me in the bringing of justice for Matteo's crimes. I have found that he has assaulted Anatole, and spied on us for Inferni, the northern coyote clan. He came here bearing violent history on his shoulders and nearly brought dangers on our doorstep for it. He is accused of treason and assault, and his punishment is shame, and exile." She waited. This situation must be so alike the one Maska had held when he moved Dawali to the Itawamba rank, and she feared that their memory of that event might echo into this world and enrage them. "He makes our home unsafe, and I will not tolerate lawbreakers who stir only trouble in our hearts and in our lives. Matteo—" she turned to the male, now, for the first time since she began speaking. "If you have anything to say, this is your chance." Ulilohi was not unreasonable. - Matteo Trovato - 03-14-2012

- Ulilohi Ehn - 03-16-2012
<style>.marit{width:90%; margin:auto;}.marit p {text-indent:0;}</style> Then again his actions aren't exactly a story of sunshine and happiness either Ulilohi could respect most intentions, most wolves; it came easy to her to treat others with kindness, even when such kindness seemed undeserved. Still, she had trouble respecting someone who would not respect her. Was Matteo innocent? His pleading for his case made it seem as if he was convinced that he had done nothing wrong, and it angered her. He was delusional if he thought that his only offense here was to assault Anatole, and even so, this was a major crime. Still, she would try treat him with more respect than he had shown his home. The truth, however, had to be put forth. Even if he claimed he had not spied for them, how could she believe anything else? He had not given her enough reasons to trust her. "It is good that you admit your assault, but you are not being entirely truthful, Matteo." She spoke carefully, looking only at him, and with an expression of sadness in her face. Even if her heart hardend at the thought of what he had done to her tribe - his own family - she did not enjoy this task. She probably never would enjoy this task, warrior or no. Suffering had and would come from it, but she could do her best to limit its reach. Laws were in place for protection, and this one did not understand how fragile the protection his tribe was currently under. "Do you deny that you have been untruthful? That you sought a home here, never mentioning the troubles you were accused of in Anathema? That you hid here, and that leadership from your previous home came seeking you? We protected you, sheltered you and your mate from harm, and you repaid us with shaming us. Us, and your mate." She paused, glancing at the other tribesmembers. In truth, she was more nervous than she should be, but her outside calm demeanor held fast. "You traveled to Inferni and named yourself AniWayan, and offered to sell out your former home, Anathema - this much you have admitted. But tell me - how can these actions convince me that you are a truthful person? You would stab your old home in the back, hide from crime under false pretenses, and attack one of our long-standing family members. Such actions do not speak in your favor, Matteo. They say that you are not to be trusted. Our tribe wants and desperately need peaceful recovery, and you bring turmoil to our borders. It is a disgrace." Her last utterance was no question, but a definite statement. Even if he was truthful, and had never spied on AniWaya, he had still given Ulilohi no reason to trust him to be around her tribe. Her heart went out to Gemma, but for now she had to be the leader of the situation. Their children may lack a father, but better lack a father than to have one so wicked as this one. - Matteo Trovato - 03-18-2012

- Ulilohi Ehn - 03-25-2012
<style>.marit{width:90%; margin:auto;}.marit p {text-indent:0;}</style> He will not be able to keep the guide, as per the policies on spirit guides. The brown woman looked at him with a somber face, clearly disappointed. The male showed a display that puzzled her. He did not merely defend himself, and she expected that, but he had little humility in anything he said. This could only confirm to her her own suspicions. "I do not question the ways of the Spirit Guides. They are sacred, and their motives are not clear to us. Be grateful that one graced you with their presence for a short time, and correct yourself for your mistakes." Where lay the reason for the pickle this male now found himself in? Clearly, solely, the reason could only be found within Matteo, but he refused to gaze inwards, and Ulilohi would not take more of his outwards lashings towards her. It was ungraceful, and hurting only him: Ulilohi knew that she was not in the wrong. She had a culture and laws on her shoulder that forced her hand in this, but his reaction only confirmed to her that the decision was right. He locked his gaze to hers, and her muscles tensed. The nerve! He did not seem to understand, nor accept, authority in the slightest. This was not a situation where he was free to speak thusly, and the fact that he failed to recognise it, or blatantly disregarded the insight, infuriated her. Her ears lifted, and her tail, and the giant woman at once became a display of ferocious, bristling dominance. Her voice boomed at him, deep and hoarse and with clear-cut words. She threatened, but she would not strike, if that was the reaction he was hoping for. "Enough of your selfish rambles, they serve no purpose, whether they are true or not true. You know the laws, as you know how you have broken them. Be gone from my sight." Turning from him, she expected him to scramble away as fast he could when she was not looking. She would not watch him go; as far as she was concerned, he was nothing of her concern now. He would know that if he did not, the entirety of the tribe would "escort" him out. She calmed somewhat but maintained her stance, now addressing the onlookers, speaking now in a calmer voice. "We know the laws, and we know that those who break them endanger our existence and life as it is. Today, with the exile of a liar and a source of violence, we are safe once more. Unelanvhi udadolisdi." She gave a slight bow to the onlookers, tipping her chin in their direction as she uttered the blessing. Out of the corner of her eye, Ulilohi threw a glance to where Matteo had stood, looking to see if he had had the wits to disappear yet. - Claudius Aston - 04-01-2012

Claudius was seething. Although he was normally quite complacent and mild-mannered, when it came to the issue of Matteo's betrayal -- whether or not to Inferni -- he knew he could not remain impassive. He had arrived late to the scene to see Matteo attacking Anatole and another wolf comforting his mate. It was wrong and Claudius was not above passing judgement on another. He saw it as wrong and Ulilohi's actions were right. Even if he had not betrayed AniWaya to Inferni, which Claudius doubted to be true, he would never trust the white wolf again. Even though he alternated between cowering and defending himself, Claudius did not want to believe any of the honesty the boy tried to project. Matteo had lied to him and Claudius had defended him when the leader of his old pack had come to him. The betrayal cut deep.
- Gemma Rhiannon Sawtooth - 04-21-2012
Word Count → 206 She hid, like a coward she hit away from him and the whole situation. She had to come to the meeting, if she didn't then people would think it were odd and question why. She didn't want any kind of scrutiny upon her. She was sure it was just the fight that was going to be brought up, he had no knowledge of what else he had done. But when he was dragged amongst the tribe and his crimes were treason as well as assault, her shock mingled with the others. A spy? For Inferni? But, wasn't he happy here? Happy with her? Why go and ruin everything they had worked towards since they had left Anathema all those months ago, why destroy it all. Was it her fault? Had she done this, drove him to do this. She suspected it was, the woman hugged herself, distraught inside. She felt like a dead zone, where was her life now. Her home and passion. All that waited for her was an empty house and an empty heart. He was sent away now with scorn and shame his parting gifts. She left too, not speaking to anyone. She was alone now just as she had always been. .jacetext {margin:0px auto;width:450px;background-color:none;background-image:url();background-repeat:no-repeat;background-position:bottom;border:none;padding:0px;font-family:Georgia;font-size:12px;line-height:16px;text-align:justify;margin-top:10px;} .jacetext .ooc {font-style:italic;font-size:11px;line-height:15px;text-align:center;margin:2px;text-indent:0px;} .jacetext .ooc b {font-weight:bold;font-style:normal;} .jacetext .divider {border-bottom:1px dotted;} .jacetext p {text-indent:20px;margin:0px;padding:5px 10px;} .jacetext b {font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1px;} .jacetext i {font-style:italic;letter-spacing:1px;} .jacetext u {font-style:italic;text-decoration:none;font-variantmall-caps;border-bottom:1px dotted;letter-spacing:1px;} </style>
|
