- Ciara O'Callahan - 04-03-2012
OOC: Set in the early afternoon, within the newer territory of New Dawn. For the first time in a long time, Ciara was relaxed. She woke that morning with her mate curled around her and she enjoyed the warmth she took from his body. They hadn’t talked much since they’d become mates, but just the fact that they’d put their feelings into the open gave the golden Epsilon a peace she’d never felt before. She could sense that her mate was still troubled, and as she looked over his dusty grey form she wondered what the problem was. With a roll of her shoulders she decided that he would tell her if it was important enough, and no matter what it was they’d work through it. They were mates for life now, and nothing was going to change that save for death. With a quick nudge of her nose to the male’s ear, she licked the fuzzy triangle before standing and shaking her fur out, ready to embrace the day. And what a lovely day it was. Ciara enjoyed early mornings as much as the next wolf but there was something nice about sleeping in until the sun was well past its noon standing. The Epsilon stretched forward and then back, shaking out her pelt once more before allowing the pads of her paws to sink into the thawed ground. Grass was growing where the cold of winter had killed it, the trees were budding in some places and the chirping of birds could be heard throughout the forest. Spring was finally upon them, and now that her heat-cycle was over, Ciara could actually enjoy it. Feeling exhilarated, she broke off in a sprint, tipping her nose to the air to pick up on any interesting scents that might be wafting around. She closed her eyes, allowing her paws to take her where they pleased and enjoying the feeling of the air slipping through her fur. Eventually she opened her eyes and noticed that she’d arrived at her favorite cliff looking over the sea. She let out a joyful laugh as she saw the water, feeling its spray even from the height of her cliff. Its scent made its way through her fur again and she felt at home. The ocean normally made her think of her mother and would plunge her into the darkness of her past, but there were too many positive things in her life. She had Augustus, she had a wonderful pack filled with friends, and her lost friend Cerberus had returned alive. Nothing could bring her down. Turning from the sea, Ciara decided she’d explore the newly claimed territories of her pack. Her Alpha had mentioned it to them that the lands needed to be inspected. Ruffling her fur out again, Ciara resigned to do just that. She was an Epsilon after all; protecter and hunter for the pack, and this land could have new and exciting prey for them besides the usual white-tail deer. With a skip to her step contrasting her serious demeanour in an almost comical way, the calico yearling made her way towards the woods. Weaving in and out of trees, she took in all the new scents and rubbed herself on the particularly interesting ones, gathering them to her fur and marking them with the scent of New Dawn at the same time. She was enjoying herself fully until she came into a clearing and her eyes fell on a grotesque sight. There in the clearing were the rusting remains of a human vehicle. It was a large mass of ugly, twisted metal, and a growl slipped through Ciara’s throat at the sight of it. Here in New Dawn, they shied away from the human ways that some of their Luperci brethren had taken. To do some things as a human would was alright when the occasion called for it, but to find this eyesore on their land? The land they strived so hard to keep natural? It simply would not do. With a low, frustrated snarl Ciara paced towards the wreckage, and began tugging at what bits of loose metal she could find with her fangs. It was going to be a big job, cleaning up this mess, and Ciara knew she’d need help. Without hesitation, she tipped her nose towards the sky and let out a rallying howl, wanting some of her pack mates to come help. .coc-sdb02 {width:400px; margin:0px auto;} .coc-sdb02 .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; padding:0px 15px; margin:-20px 0px 0px 0px; } .coc-sdb02 p {padding:10px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .coc-sdb02 b {color:#98c1cf; letter-spacing:0px; font-family:times new roman, times, serif; font-size:14px; } .coc-sdb02 .inner {background-color:#0f1110; border-size:1px; border-width:1px; border-style: none solid solid solid; border-color: #000000; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#535d66; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:272px; text-align:justify; margin:0px auto; width:398px;} </style>
- Augustus - 04-03-2012
OOC Thought I'd hop in to make up for my lack of posting. I just started work, and am exhausted, the others will come tomorrow. Sorry for the wait, deary and congratz!! <3 Others still feel free to join, one of the rare occurances that Augustus may show some semblance of happiness He was being unfair to her. He was morose when he should have been exultant, constantly sulking about as if he were more alone than ever. In truth, he couldn’t be happier, but having a mate meant opening up a part of himself that he’d never revealed to anyone. It was not easy, despite how much he loved her, despite all of it. He’d never had anyone to confide in before, not since…The thought of his brother crossed his mind. He remembered their romps throughout their territory, tales told in the dark of night. Only death had been able to part them. A part of him still mourned his loss, yet so much had happened since then. So many things that should have made him happy. He had a new family now, a home, a distinguished rank, he had his duty, and he had her. He lay at night wrapped around her, and that was where he remained. His spot in the den had swiftly become theirs, and he had nothing of his own anymore, not that he had anything to possess. But a bone here, a mouse he’d killed for a snack, all shared. It wasn’t that he did not wish to share with her, but it was something new. Even his scent was not his own, but a mixture of earth and sea.. He was disappointed in himself. There she was excited, happy, and he could do nothing but threaten rain on a sunny day. She had accepted him after all, and that was all that mattered.

Word Count :: 609 Le’ pounce :3 Cerberus hadn’t slept at all the previous night. Afraid of having another strange dream, he had forced himself awake when even the slightest bit of unreality crept over him. Taking a walk here, chasing a mouse there, he’d managed to fight away the insanity threatening to take over from such a nuisance. But he dared not think how he’d fight off sleep tonight – he was already exhausted and fighting his eyes even that morning. So again he wandered off, taking to a winding trail before the sun even poked above the hills. The chill of the early morning air pricked his skin and ruffled his fur, causing him to quiver a time or two. Then, as the sun finally climbed in the sky, he paused on his walk just long enough to warm himself in a ray reaching through a gap in the trees above. It was a glorious feeling, being warm; he didn’t understand how some of his cousins could live in arctic temperatures. As his steps picked up again, so did his imagination. No doubt it was from sleep deprivation, all of the obscure shapes and colors flashing before his eyes. But in an odd way, he enjoyed it – it made the walk more interesting. So, as the shadows of creatures not really there danced around him, he chuckled and staggered along with them, singing a funny little tune to himself until a hulking metal beast blocked his path. Excuse me, he said rather drowsily, but you’re in my way. He blinked…and then blinked again, and finally the beast morphed into a more recognizable figure: the husk of a human vehicle. Ceri’s black nose wiggled as he sniffed around it, the leathery flesh glinting in the sunlight with each ray he passed through. He nearly swiped his velvet tongue across the hood of the contraption just to taste it, but his reason poked through the cloud of sleeplessness long enough to tell him that that was perhaps not a very good idea. Finally, tiring of his examination, he slumped down in the grass on the other side of the monster and began to doze off, stirring only when a set of footsteps rustled the grass nearby. It was a wolf by the smell (and sound) of it; one that even smelled rather familiar, too. He lifted his head just enough to peek through the foggy glass window above him, his vision obscured by the coating of dust across the glass. Then the canine lifted its head, releasing a howl that only aggravated the headache already surfacing in Ceri’s skull, forcing him to pinch his eyes shut and grit his teeth. Now, however, he could tell this wolf was a woman, and she was calling for members of New Dawn. With a reluctant groan, Cerberus hopped on top of the car and shook himself, his fur splaying out and making him look even larger than he really was. I hear you, I hear you, he whined, flopping down on the rusted metal roof like a lion claiming its territory. His warm hues fell on the golden body of his Epsilon then, and a wicked grin spread across his pale lips. Well, well, well, he said, his tail picking up in a cocky sway, if it isn’t my little angel. Come now darling, this is no place for a dame such as yourself to be hanging about. What are you doing out here? He flashed her a cocky grin, the sun making his white fur almost glitter in the light. Then another howl rang out across the land, and he chuckled. Sounds like you’ve got friends coming, he jeered. And thank youuu Stormie. <3 WC: 663 While waiting for a return call from her pack mates, Ciara had continued to pick up what bits of metal she could lift, moving them to one spot. She wasn’t sure how to get rid of the metal. Her mind was working for a solution. If she broke own the hulking vehicle into smaller bits of metal it would look better than the rusting heap sitting there in the clearing. It would break apart easily, being brittle with rust and weathering. For a moment she considered putting it in the ocean, but then scowled when she thought of the aquatic creatures having to deal with the mess instead of her. If pack mates came then perhaps they could all dig a hole large enough to bury the wreck. They could put this dead metal thing in the grave it deserved. She was busying herself with her task, oblivious to Cerberus’ mumbling until he jumped up on the hood of the car, startling her. She leapt back, fur rising and teeth gleaming until she recognized who it was. The boycoy looked different with his fur cut and fashioned and filled with feathers. She canted her head to the side, allowing a smile to curl on her muzzle and about to answer him when he addressed her as his “angel.” Wolf eyebrows raised then as her earthen eyes narrowed a little. His tone was strange, not the normally sweet and jubilant voice of the Cerberus she knew. Was he mocking her? Where normally his little cocky nuances would have amused her, now they caused her fur to raise, guard hairs pointing as she forced herself to keep back a growl. She wasn’t a “dame” or a damsel in distress, she was an Epsilon of New Dawn, a warrior and huntress and she could very well handle herself. She held back the scathing comments she wanted to make and took a few paces towards him, glancing up. The calico Epsilon didn’t like that the boycoy was standing on a higher point than her. Even if he was her friend, he was still the Omega. Didn’t he know that standing higher than a higher-ranking wolf was a sort of challenge? He wasn’t used to packs or the hierarchy, but surely there must have been some instinct telling him that he was wrong. She could sense that something was off about him, though, and decided to focus on that instead of his probably unintentional insolence. Maybe he had indulged in some of the smoking, smelly plant she’d once found Jacinto using. She recalled the eccentric coyote telling her that it changed the way someone saw the world. That was probably what was wrong with Cerberus. “I’m exploring the new land as our Alpha requested,” she began, ignoring the mocking pet names and the bitterness she felt was dripping in his voice. “I found this blemish and I plan to remove it. Come down from there and help me?” She tipped her head up again and tried to smile, even though she was inwardly hurt. He was treating her so differently, so oddly, and she hated it. This wasn’t the Cerberus she knew before. When Augustus’ howl rang through the air she instantly felt relief that she’d be joined by him. The golden girl flashed the pale Omega a hurt look when he jeered at her, her ears twitching in irritation as she turned towards the direction her mate was coming from. She tried to wipe any proof of discomfort or uneasiness from her features, knowing Augustus would detect such a thing easily. Silently, she hoped that Cerberus would drop the pet names and respect that Augustus was her mate, otherwise she had no doubts her companion would be quick to remind the boycoy of his place. She didn’t want to see them fighting, and never wanted to see anyone hurt no matter how much he was annoying her. Naively, she hoped that the two males would be friends. .coc-sdb02 {width:400px; margin:0px auto;} .coc-sdb02 .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; padding:0px 15px; margin:-20px 0px 0px 0px; } .coc-sdb02 p {padding:10px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .coc-sdb02 b {color:#98c1cf; letter-spacing:0px; font-family:times new roman, times, serif; font-size:14px; } .coc-sdb02 .inner {background-color:#0f1110; border-size:1px; border-width:1px; border-style: none solid solid solid; border-color: #000000; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#535d66; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:272px; text-align:justify; margin:0px auto; width:398px;} </style>
- Augustus - 04-04-2012
OOC WC:: 573 Voices reached his black rimmed ears, but he could not quite make out the words. Some obscure divinity was looking out for the coy wolf today, surely, for had the male heard he would not have hesitated to throw the man down by his scruff, reprimanding him in silence with but the weight of his fangs on his flesh. Augustus was selfish, indeed, and Ciara was his mate, things such as these would not be tolerated. But the confrontation did not come to fruitition, for the man had only just reached wind of their words and scent, although what his nostrils sensed set him a little on edge. It was a male’s scent, and with a more thorough sniff he recognized the Omega. He proceeded at a swifter pace, and more warily. A strange hunk of metal and scrap greeted him first, then the golden tones of his mate, then…What he saw then did not please him.

Word Count :: 556 I hope you know Candace that I love ya to pieces and am not actually upset at you, I just like playing a bitter Ceri XD Well now, what was this? Ciara seemed to be quite perturbed at Ceri’s mere presence. He could see it in her eyes and in the way her fur bristled. He opened his mouth to make another witty remark – an attitude amplified by his lack of sleep – but his jaws snapped shut when a wolf much larger than he showed up and nuzzled against Ciara. While the fae’s pleading for him to come down from his perch was much gentler, this wolf clearly didn’t like him up so high. But, being naïve to the ways of pack hierarchy to some extent, he didn’t understand why such a thing was so wrong. Perhaps they feared he’d pounce on them? he thought. Either way, he wasn’t about to get into a scrap over something so silly, so he slunk down from his perch will all the flexibility of the feline he’d so unrewardingly displayed moments ago, and stood in an almost eerie little hunch before the two. Ears flat and tail tucked, he bowed his head to his Epsilons, his mismatched eyes ablaze as he stared holes into ankles of this ‘happy couple.’ While Cerberus could see now why Ciara had picked this wolf over him (he was much larger and portrayed a regal handsomeness that Ceri could never hope to), it didn’t serve to ease the twinge of resentment that now crept into his pale throat. Was this her game? Did she enjoy befriending wolves only to stomp on them later when she rose above them? Did it make her smile to draw men in with a bat of her lashes and then watch them grovel before her? He wanted to ask it all of her; he wanted to call her a traitor. But part of him knew he was only jealous. And why shouldn’t he be? She was well placed with a mate such as Augustus. He wouldn’t retreat from his typical cocky behavior, however, as it was just who he was. Unfortunately, cocky in this sense came out more as snooty because of his sleep-deprived fidgetiness. He wasn’t looking for a fight, as he knew very well that Ciara’s mate could take him down with a simple flick of his massive tail. But, in a sick way, it amused him to see that he could cause so much discontent with his presence alone. The reflection curled the corners of his mouth in a grin. No, no, he said, Mister…Augustus, I presume? That won’t be necessary. I’m well aware of how low I am on the proverbial food chain. He chuckled and flicked his tail in a playful manner. Oh, and congratulations to the happy couple, he added, doing all in his power to keep it from sounding sarcastic. Instead, it came out as more of a bemused mumble. It is a wonder I didn’t see it coming. However, I wish you many healthy pups in the future, bountiful hunts, happy days…you know, all those things. Perhaps he didn’t really mean any offense – Ciara was still his friend, after all. But what sane man wouldn’t be bitter after losing a woman like her so quickly; without a second thought, even? With a shake of his messy fur he relaxed, chasing away all ill thoughts with one pleasant one: Fate must have something better in store for him. Drama mixes it up a little! WC: 580 Anxiety crept within her when Augustus arrived, even as he relaxed her at the same time. It was an odd feeling, being at peace with her mate even as the tension sparked the air. She watched as Augustus’ dusty pelt bristled to match her golden one, and turned her head up to look accusingly at Cerberus. Why didn’t he understand that he was challenging their rank by standing up so high? He must have been high himself, he just had to be on the same drug that Jacinto had been on. Surely, there had to be some reason he was acting so oblivious to the offense he was creating. When her mate’s nose pushed against her fur, she turned her head and nuzzled at him in return, delivering a loving lick to his cheek. When Augustus challenged the wolf to come down, Ciara too lifted her tail and ears high. In a pack such as New Dawn, it was duty first and friendly banter second. She was satisfied when he crawled down off the car and took a submissive posture. The Epsilon had a mind to go over and snap her fangs across his ear to reprimand him for being so insolent, but she wasn’t sure that it was her place to punish subordinates in such a way. She’d been stepping on Titania’s toes off and on since her first heat cycle, and she wanted to avoid a reoccurrence as much as possible. Her posture relaxed a fraction and she started to think that this wouldn’t be so bad…when Cerberus opened his mouth. His mocking tones were blatant, and the calico female found herself gritting her teeth. Augustus wasn’t aware that before Ceri had arrived at New Dawn they’d spent a flirtatious day together. She wasn’t entirely sure how her mate would react to that. Her mind drifted to a reverse of the situation. If Blind were still alive and Ciara happened upon her mate and the exotic female in a clearing such as this, how would she feel? Doubtlessly aggressive and territorial, but besides that nothing really. Augustus was her lifemate, and no past love was going to take that away. Surely, Augustus would feel the same way, but that might not stop the grey male from beating the Omega into a pulp if he said something wrong. She decided to rise above his petty attitude, lifting her head and tail once again. Her earthen eyes, however, remained soft as they always were. “Thank you for your congratulations,” she said, turning away from the Omega after that to gaze upon her mate. “I found this heap of human remains here and it’s my plan to remove the blemish. I was hoping that my pack would help me,” she continued, emphasizing the word in an attempt to remind the two males that they were brothers, and like it or not, all three of them were family. She refused to allow Ceri’s attitude towards their mateship soil any future of bonding, so she turned her focus to the task at hand. “I think if we break it down into smaller pieces, we might be able to bury it deep enough that it wouldn’t harm the soil, and things could still grow over it.” Her eyes remained on her mate, but she didn’t block Ceri off completely. She was going to make an effort to not force him into being the third wheel, whether or not he was being a jerk. .coc-sdb02 {width:400px; margin:0px auto;} .coc-sdb02 .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; padding:0px 15px; margin:-20px 0px 0px 0px; } .coc-sdb02 p {padding:10px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .coc-sdb02 b {color:#98c1cf; letter-spacing:0px; font-family:times new roman, times, serif; font-size:14px; } .coc-sdb02 .inner {background-color:#0f1110; border-size:1px; border-width:1px; border-style: none solid solid solid; border-color: #000000; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#535d66; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:272px; text-align:justify; margin:0px auto; width:398px;} </style>
- Shadowfang - 04-04-2012
OOC here: Hey guys I want to jump in to see you all and to make the situation interesting! I will leave if told to! But the title of the thread said all welcome so it's not my fault! XD oh and Hello!!!!: WC: 740+!!! For quite a while now Shadow had managed to make quick friends with every wolf he talked to. Even the alphas and all the other ranks fell at the kindness that shadow offered and yet after all this there was one major wolf that he wanted to befriend but had yet to get on his good side. That wolves name was Augustus and since way back when Shadow came to the aid of Terra, it had only been growls and glares that were exchanged between Shadow and his grumpy brother. Shadow would do what was necessary in order to gain the friendship and trust of his brothers and sisters. Shadow was roaming around the pack lands. Since he had been promoted to Epsilon like Ciara and Augustus he took to the role quickly and was all about the protection of his pack. Shadow was meaning to speak with Augustus as soon as he found him alone and preferably away from the pack just in case hard words were exchanged. It seems that Shadow would get that chance sooner than he thought.
Shadow smiled at Ceri but then he looked to Augustus and Ciara with a more serious face and he hopped his brother Augustus would be able to put his pride aside and welcome Shadow as a brother like he had wished happened in the beginning. Shadow was not one for making enemies and he was not above saying he was wrong or apologizing. Shadow hoped it was enough and that he could finally be accepted by Augustus.

Welcome! Okay, going to establish a posting order if that's okay with Candace. Ciara, Augustus, Cerberus, Shadow, that sound good? WC: 822 Augustus was pleased when the coy wolf leapt from the roof of the car and submitted to the both of them. At least he’d seen reason, but Augustus was used to such treatment. A wolf’s first instinct was survival, and they did not often pick fights with creatures larger than they, even other wolves. It was true he was a rather large man, a behemoth amongst the Nova Scotian wolves. He was all tough muscle, with a severe and thick pelt of black and white, as cold and hard as the tundra itself. The cruel north did not breed weaklings. He found that he did not often need to throw his weight about, though that did not stop him from doing it anyways. He proved that was true when he shoved his nose at the coy wolf’s scruff, prodding him downwards. He was actually quite proud of himself and the fact that he did not unleash his temper, as he undoubtedly would have in time past. Maybe it was Ciara’s presence that inspired his good behavior, or maybe it was the lovely spring about them, all aromas, and colors.

Word Count :: 510 Sounds good to me. Cerberus was grateful that Augustus enforced his threat of showing the coywolf his place with nothing more than a nudge to the scruff, but Ceri didn’t neglect to curl his lip in a silent snarl at the action before the large Epsilon turned away. Then, as quickly as it had amounted, the tension dissolved to a comfortable degree when none other than Shadowfang came bounding through the trees, tossing a greeting to the pair and then pausing to express his brotherly love for the hybrid. Cerberus dipped his head with a bashful smile and his ears stood upright to match his happy, wagging tail. This gesture was only to show his joy at seeing his friend, but as soon as he realized that it might be taken for a display of dominance behind Augustus’ back, he immediately flattened his ears and tucked his tail again. Rising just enough to sit on his haunches, Cerberus gave himself a brief shake and then began preening himself like a cat, his mauve tongue swiping over his ivory limbs. He then curled his tail around his body neatly, listening with a cocked ear to the ebony wolf apologize to Augustus for an offense Ceri wasn’t aware of. Much to his disappointment, the Epsilon responded to Shadow with an icy tone and rigid nature, something that didn’t do much to prove he was as forgiving as he had said. Narrowing his eyes and kicking his ears back in distaste, Cerberus turned his head to gaze over the human contraption beside him and keep his anger at bay with the distraction of the way rust patched the decaying metal of the vehicle. It would take a great effort, but Ceri resolved he’d much rather die from the energy expended to keep himself in check than from an angered slashing from Augustus’ claws and teeth. Once the dispute drizzled to an end and the Epsilon turned to face him once more, Cerberus hopped up and trotted out of the brute’s way with a flick of his bottle-brush tail. Indeed, it would be a difficult task to bury the vehicle, but Ceri didn’t quite understand why it NEEDED to be buried. Couldn’t they break it down and use the scraps to fortify their dens or build a shelter for future pups? As much as he loved being a part of New Dawn, that was one thing the coywolf would never understand: Why so adamantly waste the advantages provided by humanistic things like cars, weapons, or even two legs? With a shrug of his scruffy shoulders, Cerberus sank his teeth into a mass of black rubber at the hind end of the contraption and pulled with all his strength. A chunk snapped off and sent him sprawling backward with the bit in his mouth, a yelp passing his lips as he plunked town in the grass. Spitting the rubber on to the ground, his ears flattened against his head as he crossed his eyes and tried to clean the dirt from his lips and snout with a frantic tongue. I have a muse so expect large posts and some awesome story developments! lol ^_^ WC: 682! Shadow glared lightly at the very cold words of his brother. Shadow was an assassin and knew all about being cold and ruthless, if Shadow hadn't known better he would have thought that his brother Augustus was an assassin as well but no he was just a cold soul in a cold body. Shadow had thought that duty had driven him to be such a way, that maybe if Augustus was alone of away from the Alphas that he would be tolerable and maybe even kind. Shadow was a sad fool for thinking that way because now it had been made very easily clear that Augustus was not interested in becoming friends at all and with his words of accepting him for the greater good of the pack, yeah right. God this wolf rubbed him the wrong way and he wanted to talk back and get it out in the open, just lash him verbally and then if a fight followed then good, Shadow could show him that he was made of tougher stuff than he knew Augustus thought of him to be made of.

Thesis is over and therefore so is the hiatus! <3 WC: 515 As soon as Cerberus jumped down from the roof of the monstrosity, Ciara felt better. She couldn’t help but wonder if the Omega was acting this way purely because of the conversation they’d had a few nights prior. He had come back expecting her to be waiting for him when he had disappeared so suddenly, and with another female? She never thought she’d see him again, and besides they’d never been dating. Her lips pulled back from her fangs to show her irritation, though luckily the eyes of the Omega as well as her mate’s were both on each other. Was he doing this because he was jealous, or just to mess with her? That had been the impression she’d received from his greeting, a few moments before Augustus had arrived. Then, after that tension had been momentarily dissipated, Shadowfang arrived. Ciara had to stop herself from sighing. She remembered the day clearly when the sable-pelted male had disrespected her mate, and she knew just how Augustus had felt about it. Her guard hairs rose as the two males faced off, the greeting of her brother barely registered as she tensed to see what would happen. Why couldn’t a few of the females in the pack have shown up? Why did it have to be all males, and in particular, a mix of these three? She loved Augustus, was fond of Shadowfang and felt…something – pity, guilt, hopes of friendship – for Cerberus, but the mix of bitterness and testosterone was too much for the golden Epsilon. She sat back on her haunches and made soft growls of frustration while the two spoke. Shadowfang should have saved this for a private discussion, and yet Augustus should have been a little more lenient. Both of them were being stubborn brutes in the girl’s mind, and she gave a little shake of her head when they finally parted. She noticed the embrace between Ceri and Shadow, and half-wondered if they weren’t flaunting it to cast Ciara and her mate aside in some strange way. When the two each closed their fangs and began to rip angrily at the car, she couldn’t help but feel that they were exerting just a little more aggression than was necessary. Males. With an irritated twitch of her ear, Ciara strode over to her mate and pushed her nose briefly against the thick scruff of his neck. Her tongue lashed out over a black-rimmed ear, before she allowed her eyes to meet his. It was as though she was apologizing for the tension in the air, feeling that it was somehow her fault that her call had attracted the disgruntled trio. With a sigh, she brushed her fur against Augustus’ and moved towards the car as well. She studied the hunk of rusting metal for a moment before digging her canines into the thick rubber of another tire, crouching and tugging in an attempt to rip the thing from the eyesore. She was smaller than the males, and wouldn’t have the same brute strength as they did, but she wouldn’t be shown up, either. .coc-sdb02 {width:400px; margin:0px auto;} .coc-sdb02 .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; padding:0px 15px; margin:-20px 0px 0px 0px; } .coc-sdb02 p {padding:10px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .coc-sdb02 b {color:#98c1cf; letter-spacing:0px; font-family:times new roman, times, serif; font-size:14px; } .coc-sdb02 .inner {background-color:#0f1110; border-size:1px; border-width:1px; border-style: none solid solid solid; border-color: #000000; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#535d66; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:272px; text-align:justify; margin:0px auto; width:398px;} </style>
|
