- Adriana - 04-23-2012 WC: 316 Adriana had just entered the area a few days ago and had heard about a pack of warriors. Figuring it would be the perfect place for strong fighter like herself, she went straight there. She absolutely loved the idea of a pack of warriors willing to aide anyone in need. With her riding on Dlia’s back and Elroy sitting on her shoulders, which happened to be his usual perch, she neared the pack border. It certainly was a beautiful place. With the sun beating down and warming her fur, the day seemed simply perfect. Perhaps it really was the day she would start a new life and join a pack with her two companions. She made a soft click sound with her tongue and her mare came to a stop, understanding exactly what she wanted. Adriana dismounted and patted the horse’s side as she looked around. Flowers were in bloom and everything appeared to be so peaceful, especially for a pack full of strong warriors. She was half expecting to see a sparring match going on not too far from the border but, much to her disappointment, there wasn’t. Perhaps any training or matches they had were further in the territory of Casa di Cavalieri. The woman lifted her head and let out a howl, calling for one of the leaders. She stood beside Dalia, stroking her snout as the three of them waited for a reply or for another to show up. Adriana hoped she would be accepted into such an amazing pack. It was pretty much a dream come true for her. It was what she had done all of her training for. She knew the day would change her life for better or for worse, depending if she was even accepted into the pack. One could only hope for the best though, the rest was up to the leaders of Casa di Cavalieri. - Wayne McCoy - 04-23-2012
Hello there! :3 My post is crappy but I didn't wanna leave you waiting. ;_; The cowboy was ready to get out of the pack lands on his trip with Dixie-May. It would be like old times -- just the two of them, wandering aimlessly over mountains and through forests and across beaches. Of course, their ultimate goal was to retrieve some animals such as sheep or pigs for the pack's livestock, but that was nothing compared to the joy of being with her again. If Wayne could look dreamy, he likely was, smiling aimlessly as he looked at the petals scattered across the path from the trees. For once, he was patrolling on his own two legs rather than riding a horse, but Fern was recovering from her incident. Even those thoughts could not cloud his mind for long; the gruff man was in a rare good mood. He was roused from his daydreaming by a howl at the borders, but this was a process he had gone through several times before, and he casually altered his stride with a doggish howl thrown out so the newcomer knew that someone was coming to attend to them. With more and more members joining the pack every day, he felt good about Casa di Cavalieri's future. The livestock would help feed and clothe them, the mares would foal soon, and there would be more helping hands for the barn and other projects going on during these warm months. He scented the horse before the luperci, and that's where his eyes landed when he ambled into view. His smile never died as he appraised the large draft mare, a giant suited to the giants of the pack warriors. In comparison, the stranger looked dainty -- although she was bigger than Dixie, and really average-sized. He was too used to others towering over his substantial height.
Howdy, Wayne greeted customarily, shoving his hands in his jeans pockets and looking at her. What brings ya to Casa di Cavalieri's borders? Unable to help himself, he added, And what's this big beauty's name? The Cavallo grinned sheepishly, although it was obvious from his own horsy scent how fond he was of working with the creatures. .wayyan b {font-weight:bold; color:#b67344; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #1d0e03; } .wayyan p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .wayyan {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#563c2c; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/WHd6L.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 285px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#ac7958; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .wayyan p b:before { content: open-quote; } .wayyan p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Adriana - 04-23-2012 Your post is fine ☺ WC: 338 The chocolate brown woman waited patiently with her two companions. She didn’t have to wait long though as her howl was answered with another, which seemed to sound somewhat doggish. A rather handsome man soon showed up. As he came closer she picked up the smell of horses on his pelt. So the man was a horse lover like her? The thought brought a wide grin to Adriana’s face. She loved horses, any animal really though. It was the main reason why she had learned low speech, so she could understand what her two companions were saying. Adriana knew she looked tiny compared to the massive horse beside her but it didn’t matter much to her, it was others who usually questioned why she wanted such a large mare. Her answer was simple; she just grew attached to Dalia so she traded a few good weapons to have her. The man greeted her with a word that was very unfamiliar to her. Her head cocked to the side in thought. Howdy? Was it just a different type a greeting he used? She decided to just drop it, at least for now. Adriana listened carefully as he spoke. Hear pack is all warrior. Want to…join. She smiled sheepishly as she struggled to speak English, the last word she had almost forgotten. Dalia. Good girl. She smiled as she attempted to explain that Dalia was a gentle creature. It was difficult though with her limited vocabulary. Sorry. Learn English. Speak Français. She frowned at her horrid attempt to tell him she was still learning English and that her native tongue was French. Elroy chattered at her shoulder, nudging her cheek with his nose before looking back at the male. Understanding what the marten wanted, Adriana introduced him to the man. This Elroy. She motioned to the ball of brown fur sitting on her shoulder. Your name? She wasn’t trying to be rude as she asked for his name, she just didn’t know how else to ask unless he spoke French. - Wayne McCoy - 04-23-2012
Pardon my Google-translated French. The chocolate-colored woman grinned at his approach, and Wayne could only figure that she’d liked something about him or perhaps even just the prospect of someone greeting her. It was amazing how many new recruits they’d gotten lately; word of the warrior pack had spread far and wide, even if they hadn’t done anything substantial yet. Part of him hoped they wouldn’t have to rush into battle to keep the peace in the lands, but helping keep the peace by any means brought honor to who was once just a humble rancher from the south. He was used to weird looks and head-tilts when he greeted others, as most canines here seemed to be from the north or even other continents. His southern drawl and dialect was a part of who he was, though, and dropping the habit would be impossible. He smiled, putting a hand on his old hat when a wind threatened to take it from his head. The woman answered his question in stilted, accent English, which was far from what the cowboy had expected. He understood her, though, and when she offered that French was her native language, he nodded. There were plenty other foreign wolves within Casa di Cavalieri, and he knew for a fact that Ismeme spoke French, so there shouldn’t be much of a problem. His apprentice Adelle was learning English now as well.
After introducing the big mare as Dalia and a little marten as Elroy, she asked for his name. He obliged gladly. Wayne McCoy. He smiled thoughtfully then added,
And then he remembered she hadn’t introduced herself, only her companions, and flashed her a little smirk. .wayyan b {font-weight:bold; color:#b67344; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #1d0e03; } .wayyan p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .wayyan {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#563c2c; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/WHd6L.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 285px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#ac7958; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .wayyan p b:before { content: open-quote; } .wayyan p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Adriana - 04-23-2012 WC: 261 OOC: Not sure what I'm doing wrong with the translations but she said, "Where did you learn French?" and then "I am a good hunter. I speak low speech, making it easier to lure prey closer."
The man introduced himself as Wayne McCoy. Adriana stored the name away in memory. A bright smile appeared on her face as Wayne started speaking French. He spoke slowly, perhaps only knowing a little French. She was asked what talents she had and she spoke slowly to make sure Wayne understood. The little smirk on his face as he asked her name brought a little flirtatious smile to her face. She wasn’t aware he already had someone special so she didn’t see any harm in a little flirting. The man was clearly handsome anyway, well built, beautiful coat. He was fairly kind too, as far as she could tell, and a horse lover. Wayne was nearly perfect. Adriana Delacruz. She gave him a small bow as she introduced herself, Elroy chattering away on her shoulder.
- Wayne McCoy - 04-23-2012
Make sure the quotation marks are straight, not fancy curved ones? That's all I can think of. xD Anyway, welcome to Casa. <3 We can continue this thread if you want, but you're free to post elsewhere now too! Wayne smiled faintly as she asked him where he'd learned he language. The wolf hybrid spoke slowly and neatly for the man, who nodded. Low speech was something he had never bothered to learn, which was strange considering how often he was around his horses. Certainly, he knew their moods better than most in the pack, and he was fine with the slightly more limited communication they had. They understood his reins and legs when he rode them, and they understood a soothing word, while he knew if they were upset or grumpy or pleased. Some might consider using a prey animal's tongue to lure them closer as a dirty trick, but he saw it as no different than calling livestock to slaughter. Maybe not pleasant, but a hell of a lot easier than hunting, especially in tough times. He smirked when she mentioned her ability with blades, flourishing them briefly to prove her words. Many here are. It seemed that everyone had some weapon or another that they fancied using, and it reminded him that he was no warrior compared to the others in the pack. All he had were muscles from riding and the instinct of his ancestors to hold his own in a scuffle, something he was not looking forward to again. Her smile was perhaps a little open and warm for someone he'd just met, but he wrote it off as eagerness, his mood too high to contemplate anything else. He'd been stormy lately, as a matter of fact, so she was lucky that he was smiling and making an effort to speak her language with her rather than sitting gruffly atop a horse like normal.
Well then, Adriana Delacruz... Wayne sank his hands into his pockets once again and grinned, standing aside so she could cross the border into the territory. .wayyan b {font-weight:bold; color:#b67344; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #1d0e03; } .wayyan p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .wayyan {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#563c2c; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/WHd6L.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 285px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#ac7958; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .wayyan p b:before { content: open-quote; } .wayyan p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Wayne McCoy - 04-23-2012
- Adriana - 04-26-2012 OOC: We can continue if that’s alright with you. WC: 217 Apparently it was Wayne’s mother who taught him along with Spanish, a language she hadn’t bothered with. Adriana needed only her native tongue, low speech, and English. She still needed to work on English though. Hopefully there was someone who could help her in the pack. Wayne would possibly be able to since he already knew some French. She wasn’t going to bother him by asking though, not yet at least. Maybe once she got settled. The smile that was already on her face widened when Wayne accepted her into Casa di Cavalieri. Adriana took her first couple of steps into her new home before turning back to the man. You want…um..go for ride? Show new home? She hoped she wasn’t being too forward, asking him to show her around. Hopefully he would accept though. It would be nice to spend time with her packmate and get to see the Casa territory. Dalia stepped forward and lightly nipped at the man’s shoulder. Adriana called the mare over to her before explaining how she shouldn’t bite. It was like disciplining a child, but then again, Dalia did resemble a pup at times with the way she acted and her playful attitude. Elroy stayed perched atop her shoulder, showing no sign of wanting to move from his comfortable position. - Wayne McCoy - 05-10-2012
Meep, sorry for the wait. I've had final exams and haven't had much time for posts lately. +324 Adriana smiled broadly when she was officially welcomed into the pack, and it warmed the dusty-furred man’s heart. His ears perked at her request, and although he looked surprised, he answered swiftly. Yes, of course. He knew that he’d seen one or two of the pack horses foraging not far from the borders, and it would be as easy as calling them if he could. Riding through the territory would be refreshing and helpful to the newcomer, although he knew it’d be hard to ride through the courthouse that the pack made their home.
Teeth at his shoulder made him wrench around, and Wayne chuckled lightly. The woman spoke to the horse, and he decided that the situation was under control before sniffing again and letting out a bark. Before too long a light bay horse came through the smattering of trees, and the cowboy stroked his nose gently in greeting.
Buckeye, he introduced to Adriana. .wayyan b {font-weight:bold; color:#b67344; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #1d0e03; } .wayyan p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .wayyan {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#563c2c; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/WHd6L.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 285px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#ac7958; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .wayyan p b:before { content: open-quote; } .wayyan p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
|
