It was a welcome change to get some fresh air. Itheral was starting to get used to navigating down below the surface, but it was nice to come topside and remind him what sunlight was like. Sighing happily, the large wolf began an aimless trot back through the woods, not far from where he'd first encountered Alaki originally. The dull throb from his left forepaw reminded him all too well of that encounter. A soft sigh escaped the black wolf as he strolled through the trees, welcoming the feeling of sun on his fur, the sounds of birds chirping all around him. The fat wolf really hadn't any idea what he had planned to do once he was out and about, but he was fine by that. It had been a while since he got to have a little 'me' time, which usually entailed a walk, maybe a snack of rabbit, and a very, very long nap in the sun. The sun was rising into the sky, but the canopy of the trees helped keep the wolf nice and cool, helped by a westward breeze. There had been no sign of small game he could catch as of yet, so the rotund would was getting a smidge peckish an couple hours into his stroll, but he wasn't too concerned. The day was still young, after all.
- Ember Phoenix - 06-04-2012
- Itheral Karr - 06-04-2012
The two hares Itheral was stalking were none the wiser to the fat wolf slowly stalking them. It had been almost thirty minutes now, but finally the slow paced chase seemed at an end. Having been on such a long stroll, the wolf hadn't much felt like a sprint through the woods, so had instead opted for practicing his sneaking when he'd spotted the two tasy looking meals. Of course, every time he'd gotten within striking distance, the little bastards decided to move just a few steps ahead, forcing Itheral to sneak about a bit more. Now, though, he wasn't going to let them get away. Licking his chops, the wolf raised his rump slightly, getting ready to leap forward. Legs tensed.... Then one of the hares shot off to the side, impaled by an arrow. For a split second, the remaining hare and Itheral both wore the same confused expression, until a second arrow flew past and snagged the second. Almost immediately, a female luperci sprinted forward, finishing off the two struggling creatures. Looking from a short distance, eyes on the female, Itheral couldn't decide whether he was pissed or awestruck. She was very pretty, at least from what he'd seen from a distance, but those were 'totally' his rabbits. He'd called dibs on them and everything! Alas, his stomach lost out to another vital organ, and the large wolf trotted out of the foliage he'd been hiding in, careful not to approach her too quickly. "Hey there...what brings a pretty thing like yourself around these parts?" Itheral called out, trying to sound suave but failing miserably. If they could, the small birds that were watching the scene would have sighed in exasperation. Walking slowly, trying to make himself look large and buff, the overweight wolf only drew attention to his sizable gut and backside. Perhaps Itheral hoped the luperci had bad eyesight?
