- Neela Garcia - 06-17-2012
Neela is wearing this dress. and has her hair down. 15th Neela had been doing her best to fight past the unusual timidness that was taking her when presented with strangers but while she had managed to avoid shying away from the ball completely and had even enjoyed herself catching up with Jace, Temo and Dalgina she couldn’t quite bring herself to enter the press of bodies that occupied the great hall even this late into the night, There were too many unfamiliar faces, too many alien smells, for the collie to feel safe within the crowd. She had made one attempt to mingle but it had ended badly when some wolf she didn’t recognise had accidentally (she assumed) elbowed her in her sore ribs, sending her retreating out of the crowd with a quiet yelp that she hoped nobody had noticed. Neela had since retreated out of the crowd and was leaning by the fireplace, leaning against the wall and resting in the warmth. One arm was curled over her ribs in what Neela hoped was a casual enough pose to hide the fact that she was actually trying to shield her side from further harm - something about her mindset tonight refused to let her show obvious weakness - and the other was lightly holding her best flask, filled with whiskey as always and being slowly sipped every now and then. Neela ran one finger deliberately over the black coloured leather making up the grip of her flask, tilting it and focusing her attention on the reflections running across the shiny steel frame in an attempt to not flinch when a dancing couple came too close to her. She was regretting returning to the hall now, wishing she was back perched on her roof, enjoying the night air and talking to Dalgina. She had returned to the hall half to try and make a point to herself, to try and work through this unexpected fear of strangers that had popped up but instead she had trapped herself, a crowd of people who didn’t even know the distress they were causing her between her and the exit. Neela tried to return to focusing on the flask but she couldn’t help the way her eyes started to dart about, or the almost unnoticeable quickening in her breathing. They were small signs but noticeable ones if somebody was looking. Hopefully nobody would notice. .risinghope b {font-weight:bold; color:#a38750; letter-spacing:.5px} .risinghope p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .risinghope {margin:0 auto; width:600px; background-color:#471e00; background-image:url(http://i43.tinypic.com/1vif8.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:3px double #885004; padding: 330px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#a27e36; letter-spacing:.5px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> 391+
- Jazper Rhiannon-Knight - 07-09-2012
Father-in-law-to-be to the rescue

Despite Neela’s hopes that nobody had noticed her nervousness her alpha had caught on fairly quickly it seemed. Neela was occupied with paying at little attention as possible to the crowd so she didn’t notice his massive, black form approaching and her attention was caught by a particularly loud wolf off to the side when he left the crowd so Neela jumped in surprise when a hand almost as large as her head descended to rest on her shoulder, head whipping round to see who had touched her and nearly dropping her whiskey flask in the process. Neela calmed when she saw that it was Jazper, bowing her head down deeply as both a sign of submission and an attempt to hide the fading shock still visible on her face. Jazper’s voice was calming but his words certainly weren’t and Neela stared dumbly at the offered hand for a few seconds; dancing was the last thing that Neela wanted to do at the moment, leaving would be more to her tastes, but Jazper’s words hadn’t been phrased as a question and she had no good reason to disobey him. Storing her whiskey safely in a pocket sown inside her dress Neela tentatively took his hand and allowed herself to be drawn out into a dance, though Neela’s own actions were often interrupted as the collie violently jerked away from anybody who ventured too close to her. Neela’s ears remained firmly plastered against her head the entire dance, the timidness that she had felt all evening had firmly ingrained itself into her head and didn’t want to let up. Jazper had been gentle upon approaching her but surely the fact that he had needed to do so as all meant she was causing a problem; perhaps one of the Artisans had noticed her behaviour and become offended of something. ”I’m sorry.” she said quietly, her eyes fixed on Jazper’s chest well away from his own, tail tucked between her legs automatically despite it not even being visible at the moment.
