- Vesper - 09-04-2012
For Io! The scarred, lupus-formed coywolf trotted through the lush grass, enjoying the feel of the stalks tickling her slender legs. Sparse woodland dotted the field she crossed, and she knew she would have to traverse the thick, ramose forests north of here on her way home. The fact didn’t bother her, though; she would climb mountains to get back to her den, Inferni, Myrika. The soft southland had nothing for her in contrast, nothing but clues to her suspicion and few answers—or, at any rate, few answers she trusted. She could listen to the snowy-furred woman all day, but she didn’t understand what the Centurion worried over; and the stuttering arctic wolf had only truly wanted her to get off his territory. Short of running into Jacinto himself, Vesper didn’t know what would satisfy her. Mostly she just wanted to bite something.
A mouse scurried underfoot and gave her the opportunity to satisfy her figurative (and literal) hunger, but she abstained. Hunting in Tribe lands would only give them a reason to squint at her and keep their cheating Lykoi captive locked away—or so went her grouchy thoughts, as she walked toward the edge of AniWaya territory and the grass didn’t feel so pleasant on her legs anymore. .veswd p {padding:5px 0px; text-indent:25px; margin:0px;} .veswd b {color:#85402b;} .veswd-text {margin:0px 5px 35px 205px; padding:2px;} .veswd {width:498px; margin:0 auto; background-color:#84908c; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/h40Wa.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:fixed; font-family:trebuchet ms; font-size:12px; color:#373c3a; line-height:13px; text-align:justify; border:#000 1px solid;} </style> - Io Berlin - 09-05-2012
<style>#kae-lights b {color:#EBA102;}</style>
- Vesper - 09-05-2012
lol I know that feeling! Frustrated with herself, Vesper paused and let the scent of the lands behind wash over her with a breath of wind. She knew that there were better, more diplomatic ways of getting her answers, and perhaps if she’d changed her approach she would have gotten them with a certainty. Then again, it was hard to be polite when you were tired and paranoid and all the other excuses she could come up with. Standing there, she didn’t feel like a subleader of a prominent pack, only an annoyed individual searching for answers that she’d never get.
The smell grew stronger when she inhaled after her sigh, its woody and elky scent supplemented with livestock and—Lykoi? Blue eyes widened, and she swung around to see a pair of canines heading toward her through the field: a red-pied collie mix in the front and a little puppy trotting at her heels.
She stared critically at the child, her ear flicking back. There—a splash of red plain as day on its face left no room for speculation; nor did the eyes beginning to change to that distinct gold. The dark color, one that reminded her of Helotes, only added to the effect. She shook her head briefly in wonderment, deciding that Jacinto hadn’t been lying about begetting a child, at least, before her attention flicked up to the silver eyes of the child’s mother.
“Hello,” Vesper said warily, and she had to fight to keep her eyes from narrowing just that fraction. I remember you, they said, as her mind gladly offered up the echo of insults and warnings regarding her so-called wasteful existence. She frowned. I remember you, and I do not like you. .veswd p {padding:5px 0px; text-indent:25px; margin:0px;} .veswd b {color:#85402b;} .veswd-text {margin:0px 5px 35px 205px; padding:2px;} .veswd {width:498px; margin:0 auto; background-color:#84908c; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/h40Wa.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:fixed; font-family:trebuchet ms; font-size:12px; color:#373c3a; line-height:13px; text-align:justify; border:#000 1px solid;} </style> - Io Berlin - 09-07-2012
<style>#kae-lights b {color:#EBA102;}</style>
- Vesper - 09-09-2012
pettyves! +301 Vesper was a creature of pride, and such creatures tended to bear grudges when that pride was injured—or maybe Ves was just as petty as she thought she was. She was glad for one small victory, at least; she was in her lupus form, the same shape she’d been in the last time they had met, the natural shape. Her legs were stiff as she watched interaction between mother (she assumed, from scent and other cues) and child, and she suppressed a softer expression as the little boy obediently plopped down in the grass. The red-pied female surprised her when she turned and directly addressed her, guessing immediately at her motives. Despite the woman’s diplomatic tone, the Infernian’s ears flicked back, and she snorted. “Yes,” she answered as directly as the other had spoken, cutting anything else from her words. Her blue eyes lingered over the dark little coyote-pup, and after a second she looked at the AniWayan with a small scowl. “That doesn’t answer my other question, though: whether you’ll allow him to come home.” Her words were ambiguous, and she supposed that she meant both the pup and the adult Lykoi that this woman had led astray (although Ves only wanted the latter back for Helotes’ sake). Both belonged with their true family, the family that branched from the grey matriarch of the clan. They belonged there more than Vesper herself belonged there, she thought. Her lip twitched, and she looked at the youngster again, this time not quite able to keep the amusement from her eyes. She might not have traditional maternal instincts, but the kid was pretty damn cute, she’d give them that. Deciding she was already pressing it by being here, she went a little further with a personal question: “How’d this end up happening, anyway?” .veswd p {padding:5px 0px; text-indent:25px; margin:0px;} .veswd b {color:#85402b;} .veswd-text {margin:0px 5px 35px 205px; padding:2px;} .veswd {width:498px; margin:0 auto; background-color:#84908c; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/h40Wa.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:fixed; font-family:trebuchet ms; font-size:12px; color:#373c3a; line-height:13px; text-align:justify; border:#000 1px solid;} </style> - Io Berlin - 09-11-2012
OOC sup bitches? / +yo numbah! Red ears flickered as Vesper spoke. 'I would feel the same anywhere else...' she agreed quietly, a phrase used more for her own comfort and an attempt to remain neutral as opposed to trying to strike up any sort of 'friendly' conversation with the Infernian. Silver eyes blink as Vesper with a scowl, 'You never asked...' she replied quickly, but with gentleness derived from her wrong doings plain in her voice. After a moments deliberation, Io spoke again, 'Yes'. Yes to Jacinto. And a more hesitant yes to Jakub. He was still so young, nowhere near old enough to leave 'home'. And what's more, it would be his choice in the end. If he chose to go Io would be powerless to keep her eyes on him. Kuba advanced closer, almost deaf to the actual conversation. He finished his stalking a metre or so away, placing himself in the thick grass beside the flattened area the two female's sat in, assuming he was invisible. Io's attention was stolen by him for a second, a thin smile gracing her face. It disappeared however, when Vesper questioned her again. There was a lengthy pause before the tribal leader spoke again, 'Passion fuelled by angst' she decided, 'And then the obvious'. She blinked at the ground steadily, he tail flickering slowly behind her. .roserose b {font-weight:bold; color:#20420e; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #6c8e5a; } .roserose p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .roserose {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#789f6b; background-image:url(http://i53.tinypic.com/zsmjgw.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 250px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#364f28; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .roserose p b:before { content: open-quote; } .roserose p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Vesper - 09-16-2012
My last post, sorry for awkwardness. xD; +335 The conversation devolved into soft sentences and clipped answers, and Vesper could feel the discomfort prickling under her thin tawny fur. She wanted very suddenly to leave, but she didn’t want to admit defeat to this AniWayan luperci, no matter what else she did or how her interrogation ended. She might’ve even been content with Claudius running across her and driving her away—well, no, not really, but every second spent here made her regret coming.
At least she had her answers, though. She would expect for Jacinto to come home once the child was of age (whatever that meant; honestly, no pup needed a father to raise them), and she would brand him a traitor if he didn’t return. She supposed that, as a leader of the fire clan, she was allowed to do so—but the more forgiving Myrika might override that declaration. She wondered if she shouldn’t be more like her lover; it wasn’t as if Jac had done harm, although he had left behind a mate (a former mate? she didn’t know) when he abandoned them, and a brother as well.
Her muzzle wrinkled with a hint of distaste when the pied coydog answered, only because she couldn’t imagine being depressed enough to sleep with someone besides her Aquila—though, maybe if something befell Myrika, she might want some sort of comfort? She just hoped she never found out.
“Well,” Vesper said, and stepped backwards as a sign that she was done bothering the woman. Her blue eyes lingered on the big-eared little cub, and after a second a hesitant smile crossed her scarred face. “He’s very cute,” she told the AniWayan, “so I guess something good came of your union.” She cleared her throat then, hesitant to leave even though she’d been raring to disappear for the past few minutes now. Her gaze lingered on the dark puppy before she finally dipped her head to the woman, muttered a farewell, and headed off well away from the tribal borders toward home. .veswd p {padding:5px 0px; text-indent:25px; margin:0px;} .veswd b {color:#85402b;} .veswd-text {margin:0px 5px 35px 205px; padding:2px;} .veswd {width:498px; margin:0 auto; background-color:#84908c; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/h40Wa.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:fixed; font-family:trebuchet ms; font-size:12px; color:#373c3a; line-height:13px; text-align:justify; border:#000 1px solid;} </style> - Io Berlin - 09-17-2012
you can reply or archive short Io let her gaze drift to the floor. She'd done wrong. There was no denying that. But even so Kuba was beautiful, so, so wonderful. Io's pride and joy, her little prince. She'd never go back and edit her wrongdoings. Not now. Jakub gave up his creeping, and padded forward with no qualms. Mama he questioned, replied by his mother with a quick, Poczekaj chwilę, Jakub. Silver eyes turned to Vesper and her lips parted into a smile, 'Thank you' she said softly, nodding gently towards Vesper. 'I hope your journey to Inferni is pleasant'. Then she herself turned to leave, calling a gentle, Daj spokój... towards Kuba. And waiting for the small, already lanky pup to catch up. .io-t98 .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; } .io-t98 p {padding:5px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .io-t98 b {color:#22352B; letter-spacing:0px; font-family:times new roman, times, serif; font-size:14px; } .io-t98 {background-color:#AACAB9; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/JP6KX.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:2px solid #000000; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#426352; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:475px; text-align:justify; padding:125px 0px 10px 0px; margin:0px auto; } </style>
|
