A hurricane was coming. Those simple words had been enough to get the hybrid moving. He didn't know much about hurricanes, but there had been one near his home when he'd been very very little, and he remembered the destruction. Amatha had been secured in the courthouse basement, and told to stay there. He didn't want to be wandering off looking all over for her when the hurricane came. She was usually attached to him, but that didn't really matter. Right now he had to concentrate on getting the courthouse where everyone was gathering ready.

- Sidra Pheonix - 09-22-2012
out of character here A hurricane. The leopard woman could smell it in the air, all of Casa knew it was coming and now it was time to prepare. Sidra had been feeling a little off lately, getting sick now and then for no reason she could find, but this was necessary. Her best friend, Soloman, was going to have to bare down and get through the storm as well so she was going to help build the ramp to lead all the horses to safety. Sidra packed a few things in her bag, choking down a subtle nauseous feeling threatening to make her sick. It was nothing, her previous meal probably wasn't sitting right. Never mind, she needed to get to the courthouse to help. So, she through on her blood red cloak to keep herself warm and left her room. Sidra came up on the courthouse and immediately a look of disdain struck her features. Hadley was the only one here at the moment, already working on the ramp. She rolled her amethyst eyes and approached, an austere expression on her face. He was not the person she wanted to see right now. Either way, he was pack and she wouldn't waste energy bugging him. Hello Hadley. She dipped her head slightly putting a small smile on just for him. Their last conversation hadn't been too bad and she knew the carpenter to some extent now. What can I get started on? She'd never built anything before, but this was pretty straightforward. Without an answer, she went and picked up one of the planks. There was already a strong wind and the sky was darkening above them, trickling down the beginnings of the storm. They'd have to do this fast. She coped Hadley's movements and placed the planks one after the other hoping more would show up to help them. .moocow-fb b {font-weight:bold; color:#fdfcfa; text-shadow:#3e2a4d 1px 1px 2px; letter-spacing:-.5px;} .moocow-fb .ooc {font-style:italic; padding:3px; text-align:center;} .moocow-fb .line {width:410px; border-bottom:1px solid #fdfcfa; margin:0 auto 3px auto;} .moocow-fb p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .moocow-fb {margin:0 auto; width:485px; background-color:#754f92; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/vIJsl.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #3e2a4d; padding:230px 0px 10px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#3e2a4d; line-height:14px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Baird Byrne - 09-23-2012
Word Count :: 264Have a dingo He was incredibly grateful that the large black wolf that had met him and Sonje at the borders had allowed them to stay in his packlands for the duration of the storm. He had promised to help out in anyway he could and now the Aussie dingo had spied something that he could help with. It seemed that a ramp was being built. He supposed it was for access to the building for animals, the pack wanting to take care of their horses rather than leave them to the elements. He wandered over to the courthouse, not that he knew it was a courthouse, he just saw it as an old human structure and wouldn't know what a courthouse was if he was told that the building was one. He raised a handpaw in greeting as he padded over, "G'day. I promised Jazper I'd lend a paw wherever I could in return for shelter." He nodded at the ramp that was coming together, "I'm fair dinkum with things like this, reckon you got something for me to do here?" The large hybrid flinched at Sidra's voice, partly jumping. Glancing up he managed a tiny smile, nodding his head. Hi. He continued his work as quickly as he could, knowing that they would need to move fast to get all of this done before the storm blew everything away. We can finish the ramp, then start bringing the horses in. We'll need to fortify the windows as well, and check the roof. The roof job would be the most difficult. Hadley wanted to check for leaks as they boarded everything up, and there was a low chance that Hadley could truly accomplish that before the storm hit full force.
