- Baird Byrne - 09-23-2012
Word Count :: 625PP'd Jagga a little here, sorry Ches. Didn't referece other horses specifically as I'm not familiar with them. Feel free to flesh out the details. He still didn't feel completely comfortable in this pack. They were treating him well enough, and they had been kind enough to take him, his animal companions and Sonje in while the storm raged. Yet it wasn't home. He knew he was lonely and he sought out others to sate his desire for companionship, but he wasn't a pack wolf and being confined in this human building, surrounded by other canines and all the packs horses, was stifling. He desired fresh air, but that was an impossibility; the gale force wind would steal the breath from his lungs with the first exhalation, and the rain was likely to drown him if he fell. He would have to make do with the crowded exterior of the building, among the members of the pack milling about and the horses gently munching on hay and pawing at the floor with their hooves. It wasn't a familiar voice. Rushing down she found a stranger fighting to stop the horses from fighting each other. Oplader, no! Rushing in she pulled her black stallion away from the dusty brown horse he'd been chomping at. The pounding hooves of the upset horses were all around her, Adelle forced to climb onto Oplader's back to avoid being hit by them. Perhaps rushing right into this hadn't been the best idea. Adelle didn't want to let him go though. She could see Hadley's horses as well, Blessing, Bella and Brynn fussing. They were fairly large, though not the largest. They had a lot of large pack members, needing larger horses, and Oplader was definitely not on the smaller end of the scale. The filly was panicking, tossing her head and pacing back and forth. Carefully she slipped back down, shouldering through until she reached the young horse, pulling Oplader along behind her. The black stallion snorted, tossing his head as they moved through, but calmer now as she grabbed Bella and carefully rubbed her neck. It's okay girl, calm down. - Sidra Pheonix - 09-25-2012
OOC shtuff here. Sidra knew from the start that Soloman was going to be one of the biggest troubles out of all the horses. He hated being close with any of them and now they were all huddled in a confined space, pressed up against each other like a herd of cattle. So, when a stranger's voice signaled through the air, the leopard woman responded quickly. Ears pressed forward and she quickly made her way over the heard where Adelle and an unfamiliar golden man tended to the hoofed beasts. She flashed him a fake smile and then a brighter smile over to Adelle who was already working on calming her own horse down along with some other pack mates horses. Sidra wasn't familiar with most of the horses, but she knew a few just from Soloman alone. Her low speech skills would come in handy right now when she needed to calm the horses down. The four legged beasts stomped their hooves loudly against the ground, creating an unpleasing applaud of horse hooves in her ears. She pressed them back to try and muffle the sound, but it was no use. She would just have to ignore it. Sidra made her way through the horses, placing a hand along their frames as she passed cooing soft words into their ears in low speech. Shhhh...just hold in there a bit longer. Just until the storm passes...shhhhh, it's alright. She made it over to Soloman who was whinnying loudly, shoving against other stallions and mares in his vicinity. Her eyes narrowed on him and she raised her fingers to her lips to whistle loudly, yelling over at him. Soloman! Calm yourself, you're not the only one in this unpleasant situation! He immediately looked over to her, snorting and kicking at the ground some more. Once she was at his side, he calmed a bit but was nastily nipping at the horses around him. She took his muzzle and pulled it close to her whispering into his ears softly. Shhhh Handsome. I know you're tough, you can get through this. Just keep calm. I'll be around. The storm was obviously taking a toll on all the horses. Sidra spend a few minutes with him stroking his neck and scratching his underbelly and chin, trying to keep him calm. It was working, but there were others that needed attending too. A brawl broke out between to smaller stallions. The two were nipping and kicking at each other. Sidra rushed to their side, careful not to get kicked in the process. She spoke in low speech the whole time she was in the middle of the beasts, so they would understand her at all times. You two. Shush up, calm down. Her hands pressed against either of their sides as she continued to coo to them softly. Her hands came to their muzzles, gently making sure they focused on her until they were calm. They fought back a couple times, but with a few kind words she was able to soothe them. The leopard woman returned to Soloman who was acting up again. He was her first priority, always would be. But, when he was calm she would tend to the others horses around him. With teamwork, her, Adelle, and the stranger would be able to keep them calm throughout the storm. .sidred-sdb09 p {padding:0px 20px 10px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:30px;} .sidred-sdb09 b {color:#601615;} .sidred-sdb09-b {width:499px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0px auto;-webkit-border-radius: 6px; -moz-border-radius: 6px; border-radius:6px;} .sidred-sdb09-ooc {font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:12px; letter-spacing:.4px; font-style:italic; } .sidred-sdb09 {background-color:#000000; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/8RRbt.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:330px 0px 15px 0px; border:1px solid #601615; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#4f4f4f; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:14px; width:497px; text-align:justify; -webkit-border-radius: 6px; -moz-border-radius: 6px; border-radius:6px;} </style>
|
