- Nikita Eirisa - 08-26-2008 Set in Overgrowth Sunrise. If it weren’t for Nikita’s illness-created affection for water, she would have gotten sick of it by now. This day, it was nothing more than a thin mist that fell upon the land. The Esper Hollow coyote had found herself increasingly bored with staring at the mist drift over the lake near the camp back at home, so she had decided, against her better judgment, to try and go out. Perhaps it wasn’t very smart at all for someone who was ill to be wandering around (and probably spreading whatever disease that they had tried to keep restrained in the confines of the pack, though her own strain didn’t seem as serious as the others’), but she didn’t really pay attention to what was very smart much at all nowadays anyway. She wandered north and west, past the thick forests of Ethereal Eclipse and further north to the coast. She didn’t wander too far, as she smelled the scent of pack wolves and could only imagine that this might be that belligerent wolf pack that Anselm had told her about — the one that had kidnapped the leader of Inferni’s child. The whole idea of getting near them left a foul taste in her mouth, so Nikita remained to the south and west of them. She found herself in a place that must have been settled by humans at one point, though nature was quickly washing away the signs of that. Buildings were crumbling, rotting, and mostly collapsing while the forest sought to re-take this area that had once been lost. Thinking of nowhere else to go, Nikita found herself on a lane of a small town. A few run-down buildings surrounded her, but she didn’t think much of them. Thinking to get out of the rain for at least a little bit, she wandered under the eave (that was miraculously still standing) and sat down. Nikita stared blearily into the area surrounding her for a few minutes before allowing her gaze to drift to the area around her. A few feet away was a small piece of wood that had fallen from the structure of the house; a large splinter that seemed to catch her attention. She scooted over to it, picking it up and drawing her knife. Reclining against what was left of the wall behind her, she held the piece of wood in her left hand while whittling away at it with the right. She wasn’t intending to make anything in particular, besides a smaller shard of wood. It was something to keep her attention focused on, though. She didn’t like where her memories took her when she had nothing to occupy her thoughts. - Rizuka Namorn - 08-28-2008

- Nikita Eirisa - 08-31-2008
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj32 ... /nikt1.png); background-repeat: no-repeat;"> The light rain made her sense of smell less potent than usual, which was probably why she missed the approach of the other coyote until she could hear the patterns of pawsteps beneath the light hiss of the falling rain. She was somewhat loath to remove her gaze from the shard of wood she was whittling in her hands — she was somewhat interested to see what she was making it into, seeing as though she was whittling it down without conscious thought — but she eventually did so when the stranger had come across her. Nikita was very surprised to find the other female in clothing — besides herself and Laurel, Poe had been the only one who favored human clothing that she had met here — but not in a negative way. She was also somewhat amused when she saw the taller coyote lycanthrope with a hand stuffed unceremoniously in a pocket. Whether or not it was expert eye or simply pure paranoia, but she imagined that the other was simply well within reach of her own knife, after seeing Nikita’s own. To the green-eyed coyote, they seemed very much alike. “Hey,” she greeted roughly, her voice hoarse. It had been like that since she had become ill — she had no idea whether or not the illness contributed, or she was simply too stressed out. She inhaled, finally catching the scent of the female without the rain interfering too much. She nodded; it made sense. “You’re from Inferni, right?” She asked. There wasn’t much of the scent there, but there was just enough. “I met someone from Inferni once — Anselm. Nice guy.” She rambled a bit there, not that she noticed. - Rizuka Namorn - 09-11-2008

- Nikita Eirisa - 09-13-2008
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj32 ... /nikt1.png); background-repeat: no-repeat;"> She nodded; it made sense that this coyote know Anselm, as Nikita was pretty sure, by the way what he had held himself and how he had talked about Inferni, that he was either a leader or a very high-ranked member there. It was also pleasant to know that there was some other coyotes in the general area that were just as civil as the cross-breed Inferni member she had met a while back. So strange that Anselm had seemed convinced that everyone around seemed to hate their guts… it made Nikita wonder about the other members of their merry little band. Dragging her thoughts back to the present, Nikita made careful notice of the stranger rocking seemingly-awkwardly in the overgrown streets before she posed a question. “Yep,” Nikita responded, her olive gaze flitting down to the knife and slightly smaller chunk of wood she still held. She whittled idly at it, returning her gaze to the other once she started speaking again, “I live at Esper Hollow, which is a little southeast of here. We’re not much of a pack or anything, though — more like a group of friends stickin’ around.” She shrugged to show the nonchalance of her loose affiliation with her home-group, not thinking it a big idea that the stranger should be curious. She introduced herself shortly thereafter, as Rizu. Nikita smiled in response. “Nice t’meet you, Rizu. I’m Nikita.” |
