- Karin Sadira - 12-17-2007 It had been about a week or two since Melody had wandered into the Clouded Tears pack borders only to find out that the wolf she had believed to be her mother was in fact an impostor who had taken her from her den a few months ago. Needless to say she was still a bit confused about the whole thing, not to mention the fact that along with taking her, she had been given a new name. She still mostly answers to Melody as it will take quite a while for her to understand her real name as being Karin Sadira. But, still being a pup, it would only be a matter of time before her young mind to grasp the meaning of everything that is being thrown at her at once. Another plus of still being a pup was the fact that until this happened, she could simply forget it all and play with the other pups, including her newly rediscovered brother. No matter where she's been, Melody has never really cared much about who she was playing with so long as she had something to do to keep her small mind active. At this moment, there weren't many others around, but she busied herself with playing in the snow. She was having a blast pouncing from snow bank to snow bank to make little holes in them that were shaped like her own body. It was amazing how she could find such amusement in such a simple act, but hey, that was how she was. Another little game she played was to try and catch the few snowflakes that were falling from the trees. She flipped her tail happily from left to right, whacking whatever just so happened to be behind her at the time whether it be family, tree, snow or some other random little creature. - Laruku Tears - 12-19-2007 [html] He preferred the simpler to the complex now. There had been a time when he had been curious, digging at the corners of everything to find out the truth. Older and very much jaded, he accepted that all truths were lies when told to or by the right people and that everything else was just there -- an inbetween place where nothing mattered. He walked again in his straight line path, carefully placing one foot in front of the other so that the trail in his wake was in perfect order. A pointless task to keep his mind busy as he wandered through the fresh snow with cold feet and a cold head full of frozen thoughts and dreams and nightmares. And demons. Laruku didn't recognize the lone child dancing carelessly through the white. Her coat was not as pure, but she reminded him immediately of Melisande, happy and innocent in every way, not yet wondering about that trap question, the meaning of life and other such fantastical nonsense. The scarred hybrid found himself a seat at the base of a tree and watched her for a moment as snow collected around his shoulders. She looked like a Sadira at the very least, like the second Colibri and Cercelee, another youth in the cursed blood lines of a cursed pack. Where're your parents?he called out softly from where he sat. Are they dead or alive, little girl, and how long will either of you stay? Those were the questions in the back of his mind, but he didn't need to ask those because he knew the answer. - Karin Sadira - 12-23-2007
- Laruku Tears - 12-29-2007 [html] The scarred alpha's memory was a strange thing. He remembered exact phrases from years ago now, but apparently had trouble remembering the people he had seen more recently and their connections and relationships with others around him. As soon as she spoke, Laruku remembered and sighed inwardly. The real world seemed far away and he was disconnected from it, trapped in a pocket of time and space where the same things happened every day and the same people were there to whisper things at him when his back was turned. This was one of Lisichka's second litter, so she was Melisande's half-sister, and there would thus be some ridiculously complex relationship that led back to him, depending on whether one was following blood lines or adoptive lines. He had never been good with children. At some point, he had outright disliked them for being the innocent, naive, and helpless little things they were. Then he had gotten to tolerate them, realizing that what they had didn't last long. And maybe his mindset had changed again when he had realized he had become a father himself, but the hybrid never felt like he knew how to deal with them. Blood-colored eyes watched her distantly as she tried to be playful. It shouldn't have been that hard to swipe back, paw at her and flip her over, to play. But all he could imagine was a playful swipe turning into a vicious beating, teeth around a child's neck and memories of actions that should have never been his. Laruku stood up, unwilling to give into the pup's antics. Instead, he asked another question, And your brother? He looked down at her, How're you all settling in here? |
