The reddish brown creature stared at a spot a few yards in front of it. Its eyes were far from great, but the thing was very certain that the green was slightly greener than that crushed under its hooves. Yes. It had to be greener. The large animal moved slowly forward in a steady, well adjusted rhythm that fitted its big, bulky body excellently. No one could know exactly how the kyole had appeared in these lands, not the creature itself either. It just was here, and there was green grass over there. It felt joyful contentment flush through its body as the delicious green finally was within reach. Its head lowered, following the tongue that was reaching out to find the soft grass. Its teeth ripped off a mouth full and a moment later it’s head was back up where it was supposed to be on top of its body, mouth chewing happily up and down and sideways. The taste was juicy and grassy, just how grass should taste like. Its eyes stared emptily forward without any hint of intelligent life. Tail moved automatically to shush away the flies that loved it so. It was a happy bull. It usually was. - Emwe Soul - 06-17-2009 [html]

Grass grass grass grass grass eat the grass tastes like grass good grass grass grass grass eat it swallow munch munch the delicious grass good grass more grass munch munch eat the grass. The world was a very simple place. The animal could vaguely recall a time where there was white non-grass on top of grass and grass was in a sick yellow not green colour, but now grass was green and rich in grass taste, and it was very nice and tasted nice and was everywhere the animal looked. It munched happily, thinking cow thoughts and waved its thin tail about randomly to ease the small bug feet from tickling the wrong places. It was not aware of the danger before it talked to him.
A woof like sound sounded and the large kyole turned into a statue with moving ears. Its large nostrils flared, and the creature slowly turned an eye over to gaze upon the wolf that came closer. Wolf wolf wolf, threat was bad and wolf was threat bad was very bad. Big threat, but small body, small threat? The world was now a rather confusing place. A large and almost unnatural long tongue slowly crawled its way upwards and into one of the two holes that made out its nose, finding rich treasures to soothe the situation that slowly made itself apparent in the bull’s minimized brain. Why did danger wolf thing make sounds?
The large animal could only stare at the small thing that was small, tongue the only visibly moving thing, still fishing for more interesting stuff. "Mooo?" - Emwe Soul - 06-21-2009 [html]

Why did it not eat cow? Maybe not wolf only wolf like and wolf scented. Maybe, possibly, perhaps, yes? How could that be though? Only wolf was wolf and could not be anything else. Only one wolf, it could be stomped on if it misbehaved. Not large enough threat to flee from, no, because grass was green and juicy here and the creature wanted to stay her forever until it got bored and looked for that greener grass that made the world work. The animal looked at the little cub while it was trying to make threatening postures with its tongue. An ear shook gently to rid itself of one of the many winged insects that were his constant companions except for white stuff on ground time because they fell down and disappeared then. More woof like sounds came from the canine, and the bull’s tongue quickly withdrew from its nose to find its righteous place inside its mouth. For a moment all movement from the giant highland cow ceased when the predator thing came closer. Then the thing sat down, and cow was amazed.
It did not understand what the wolf was doing. Suddenly it had only two legs and had its bum on the ground. The cow coked its head to the side to better investigate this with one giant rolling eye. It stretched its neck to come closer to the predator without having to move from its pretty grass spot. The small thing woofed again, and the giant creature pulled back its massive head. Did it want Cow’s grass? Although Cow was far too bright to recollect memories of any social life, it had been a bullied little bull not more than one year ago before it had gained its impressive size. Was it being bullied? It did not understand what that was, and so it could be hard to determine if it was or not. Life could be very complicated with dangerous woofers around. This was just one tiny wolf and the bull would not let the dog steal its grass because it was very green and tasty and was supposed to end up in his four stomachs.
The bull lowered its head and got the wolf right in the blind zone when it turned its face towards the woof and warned it with a bellowing “Moooooooo!” - Emwe Soul - 07-27-2009 [html]

The dumb animal stood still and continued to stare at the little wuffer. There was no curiosity anymore, because it had been established now that it was a small miniature wolf that did not seem to want to eat cow, because it only was a barking type of wolf. There were different kinds of canines. Barking canines and eating canines and lately also some strange tree like canines (trees were tall, optime wolves were tall. Well, Cow saw some kind of similarity there at least) Cow was just staring because that was what it usually did. It did not study it, just look at it, head completely empty. When the little thing started to walk around it, Cow kept one eye at it until it reached the dead zone behind its large bum. The giant mammal’s tail whipped warningly in case the thing would wish to bite Cow’s bum. In the short moment the wolf was out of Cow’s eyesight, the large creature immediately realized that there was grass everywhere. It lowered its face and started to eat again, munching its grass happily and retarded, seemingly forgetting about the puppy. - Emwe Soul - 08-27-2009 [html]

Suddenly Cow realized that the woof woof thing had not gone away, and that it was trying to eat it. This was not a very good thing. Cow was a very stupid thing, but there were still intact instincts within, and those screamed at the animal’s drowsy brain now. With a loud and powerful moo, the animal blindly kicked with its hind legs, attempting to scare the predator away with powerful hooves that could smash a skill in if they hit properly. Cow was a big cuddly toy as long as it was not being frightened or threatened. In the bull’s mind, both of these things had now happened. Without looking around to see if it hit anything, the large animal fled clumsily and nosily, leaving a very clear trail of stomped down plants and a flat frog behind. The wolves were all bad no matter the size, it seemed. |
