- Pilot Haddon - 02-02-2008 [html] With Phoenix still recuperating, Pilot found himself trying to keep tabs on each of the Storm wolves. It was his responsibility to make sure things ran smoothly while the alpha regained his strength, though everyone seemed to be plagued by the same melancholy morale. Icarus had been by his father’s side for most of the days passed, and he hoped the pup would soon decide to seek some fresh air. It wasn’t good to have everyone hanging around the den with heavy hearts. Pilot didn’t know much about medicine, but he had a feeling that the mood of the atmosphere could somehow affect Phoenix’s rehabilitation. The white wolf had gone to patrol the borders, keeping in mind that he would need to keep the pack’s safety as a number one priority. With thoughts always falling back to his fallen friend, it was hard to keep his thoughts straight as a leader. He kept questioning whether or not this was the right position for him to be in. Standing at the peak of a hill overlooking a distant border, Pilot stopped to take a break from everything. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes for a moment and tried to let go of all his doubts. Maybe if he could take just a moment to relax, he could go back into the situation with a clearer head. - Tamerlane - 02-06-2008 [html]
- Pilot Haddon - 02-12-2008 [html] When he finally let his eyes drift open once more, Pilot felt as if he had for once in the past few days, achieved a bit of tranquility. It by no means was going to last long, but at least he had grabbed one moment to himself. After taking another breath of the chill air, he set off down the hill and towards the border line. He didn’t smell anything, but he felt an obligation to double check things a little closer now that Phoenix was fallen. As the squirrel raised male came to a halt, a chilling feeling stretched across his back causing his fur to stand on end just slightly. He didn’t hear or smell anything, but he was sure that something was out there. Glancing through the stand of trees stretching beyond Storm, Pilot strained his cold eyes to find something, anything, which would be setting of his alerts. But he saw nothing, and was scared to admit defeat. Keeping his eyes to the land outside of Storm, Pilot turned and began walking along the marked path. As he moved, his perspective changed, though it still did not reveal the culprit. When he finally looked forward to see what was in front of him, though, Pilot stopped and a small grin crossed his lips. There, Tamerlane stood idly and Pilot’s sense of trespassing diminished. Somehow he knew that the presence he had felt had only been that of his fellow pack mate hidden out of view. - Tamerlane - 02-13-2008 [html]
- Pilot Haddon - 02-13-2008 [html] "By no means." He always seemed to discover Tamerlane alone and had come to the conclusion that perhaps he was the passive type, or something along those lines. Not that Pilot was bothered by it, it just intrigued him because he had never really been that way. "I’m glad it was you I came across, instead of something more menacing." He stopped, and cast a glance back towards the area he had assumed was occupied moments ago by some fiend. Still, there was nothing but a seemingly empty forest. He wanted to say something more to the traveler, but nothing came to mind at the moment. Instead, his mouth felt oddly dry, as if it was trying to glue itself closed. His grin had dimished some, but he tried his hand at reviving it. "Things have been different as of late," he finally replied, though it was a horrible attempt at a conversation starter. Maybe he would just leave Tamerlane be for now. |
