- Asha Amara - 01-14-2010
Nightfall was quick to approach the horizon, and before the darkness of a winter's night completely veiled the land in shadows, the young Amara had made ways to a very accustomed structure that was not too far away from the heart of the Tribe lands. The snow fall in the lands were tapering, falling at a heavenly silence. The snow that had already blanketed the ground was quite deep, and Aidan had found himself having to be a little more agitated than usual with crossing through snow. Her equine was capable of conquering plenty landscapes, but snow of all thigns was one that was not often encountered, and a little tricky at first. Yet, it was as if Aidan himself had been in haste himself to return to a familiar place of his reverie. Coming to a point where her cabin was in view, Aidan didn't hesitate to halt as he picked up pace toward the structure. Her wooden abode had never looked anymore tempting than it had before. She could see that the lumber made to build the somewhat mini cottage of her own was still sturdy and standing strong, despite the snowfall that had collected on the roof and plenty more movements of erosion from wind, water, snow, ice, and sun.

Dagrun frequently joined him on these little meanderings, as he forded rivers and waded through landscapes covered in snow, and as usual she sat quite cheerfully on the top of his head. There was something about the cool January night that was immensely refreshing, as if the air was newer than it usually was, and the Gatlvska breathed deeply and peered upwards. He sometimes tried to pick out constellations that the humans had invented, and though their stories were intriguing he found a certain amount of joy in finding his own forms and grasping for their stories. They were usually related to his own life, with tribal leaders and horses and spirit guides represented in the abstract arrangement of points of light. Less and less frequently did he imagine that the forms in the sky were the types of those he had read in human books, the detectives and the kings of old. AniWaya life had grown on him quickly and managed to sustain that growth as he continued to live there. There was no better place, he reflected as he saw a flicker of light born in the distance.
Curious as to who was starting a fire now and hungry for a bit of company, the wolf headed towards the flame. He recognized the girl from a distance, and a wide smile pulled across his face. It had disappointed him when he had learned that she had left, but Hemming imagined she was off on grand adventures. She seemed a strapping young wolf, one that could hold the world in her hands if she wanted to. Now that she was back, perhaps she had some stories to tell.
He slowed his pace as he neared, stopping close enough that he could feel the light of the fire on his face. He didn't want to startle her, and it was possible that she didn't even remember him. His greeting would be a good hint, though; the wolf bowed over slightly and said with a grin, "Lady Asha." - Asha Amara - 01-22-2010
No worries! 550
- Hemming - 02-05-2010
The shimmery feather caught Hemming's eye as Asha laid it down. He smiled at her response, nodding and making his way around the fire to settle on the rock she gestured at. It was a nice fire, bright enough to let its warm light flicker on the fur of the two wolves and light their eyes. Hemming stretched his legs, one crossed over the other, towards the fire to warm his toes. The recent few days hadn't been particularly cold, just chilly enough to keep the snow frozen, but the heat of the fire was remarkably pleasant. Letting out a satisfied 'mm' as he held his hands to the fire, the wolf said, "Meet any fire breathing dragons in your journeys?" A smile curled up one side of his face. He enjoyed the little game they had created and reveled in the fun of make-belief. He was truly interested, though, and the tone of voice in which he asked his question had sincerity and curiosity within it.
When the two had met the weather was warm and the fields green with new grasses. Asha had been one of Hemming's first acquaintances, and quickly, one of his first friends. It was hard to imagine that so much time had passed since he had first found AniWaya, difficult to understand that the seasons were taking the same amount of time to cycle as they normally did. So many things had changed, and though his time in AniWaya was short so far, the years before seemed like a half-remembered dream. - Asha Amara - 02-11-2010
It's okay, really! My pace will probably be slowing down a tad bit due to my workload with college atm. O_x 420
For a moment the young Ayastigi herself simply relished in the absorption of the fire before them, soaking in as much harsh heat as possible. It wasn’t until Hemming then made an amusing statement of questioning Asha on experiencing any fire breathing dragons on her journey, which in turn of course made her muzzle smirk right back in amusement to this. Her amber eyes focused upon the fire a little more, before transitioning her gaze to Hemming and also gently shrugging her shoulders. “Unfortunately I haven’t. Thank the Spirits though those grizzlies don’t have that ability, or else I think we would all be in very grave danger. Fire breathing bears, not good.” There was a short laugh to be had of that, mentioning something of an encounter with a ravenous grizzly. The very reverie of such made the hairs upon her neck stand on end, and could feel the chill of adrenaline and fear begin to pump into her veins at the very thought. Her gaze then turned back to the fire. “Ah, it was just a minor confrontation. Nothing too dangerous. There’s a lot more to be cautious about on the outside, let me tell you. But, how have you and the tribe lands been during this whole time?” It was time to switch the question back over to him, in which she then turned her amber gaze back on him thoughtfully and with a small grin. |
