[/html]Vindicate flexed his fingers reflexively, his Lykoi-gold eyes looking out at the sunrise. The salty smell of ocean water made him nostalgic for him. He had often spent drunken weekends on the beaches of France with Classica and Vesuvius. Their parents had done nothing to either encourage or discourage this sort of behavior from their children. Just like the time that Vindicate had come home with blood-stained fingers and a knife that was clearly recently cleaned, and his father had merely asked if he needed any help. Help to bury the body. But no, Vindicate had handled that himself rather neatly. The fish had eaten well that night.
He missed Classica, though. She was supposed to be headed his way once she completed whatever business she had with the gypsy-like male she had gone off with. Undoubtedly that would be a short lived fling, as hers so often were. The young male stretched out. It would be worth the wait once she arrived. Dark ears flicked as he stared out at the sunset. It was strange, watching it over the water. In the lands of his parents' childhood. It was interesting, how everything centralized around this place. And how he felt strangely at home. The bloodlust felt right here. A war was on the brink of breaking, and the blood he took would be in the midst of a battle, no murder charges to be had.
He was already sure he liked it here.
Afternoon delight.

Her lips twisted and she rerouted. The sun was falling into the earth rather quickly and the daylight hour was running short. With the darkness over head, she did not like being out but she knew she needed some fresh ocean air away from the cave. Rikka had tried to take her to the ocean that was near the caves not long ago but she had been unable to. It was not because Kaena had said against it but she did not feel comfortable without permission. This evening was enough to send herself out here and she was intrigued. There was an ocean where she was from but she had not been allowed out there nor had anyone taken her. It was a beautiful sight, at least, and why she had come out here. The form of another on the beach stopped her from going and she lingered in the background, shuffling down the sandy banks but tried not to draw attention to herself other than her scent. |
