Savina was still reeling from everything that had happened. She felt as though she were walking through some sort of mist, some sort of dream world and that eventually she would wake up. But this was more nightmare than dream and unfortunately she knew that it was all too real. Cambria wasn't the same, even though the stuff would have long been out of her system. She was depressed and if the mother's own depression wasn't enough she was heavily influenced by the sadness of her child. This never should have happened. She should have never been forced to deal with this situation. But now it was laid out in front of her and she had no other choice.
The new Commander sat out on the deck of the mansion with Anu. Mati was inside taking care of Cambria. There was no reason to put the girl through any more trauma but Savina had refused to leave her alone. It was hard enough to leave her at all. So they had explained what all had happened to Mati and then come out here to prepare to call the pack. She knew this would be the most difficult meeting she had ever conducted and perhaps ever would conduct. How would the rest of the pack take all this? Would they understand and follow her? Or would they be angry and refuse to listen? Hollow emerald eyes searched out the blue of Anu's, hoping to gain strength from the only woman she knew she could depend on. Steeling herself Savina threw back her head and called for all the members of Crimson Dreams to assemble and hoped to the heavens that this wouldn't be any harder than it already was.

Gonna say that Ehno came right back after talking with Nani... 300+ Ehno’s pace had slowed significantly. He was worn out, traveling almost non-stop back from Halifax after tracking down and speaking with Naniko. The Italian man felt conflicted, wanting to stay and help Naniko despite her apparent mistrust of him, but he knew he needed to return to Crimson Dreams. His need to check back in with his family and to give the ex-leader some space fueled him the entire way. The chocolate-hued male was nearly home, and he knew that when he arrived he would be able to rest both his body and mind. He was approaching the Crimson Dreams borders when he heard the calls that signaled a pack meeting. He picked up a quick pace once again, not wanting to be late. The Chief Sergeant already knew of the shocking events from the previous night, but he did not want to miss out on any new announcements. He was tired from travelling such distances in the span of a day, but he knew he could find he time to rest later. Tumultuous changes had befallen the quiet pack and he knew it would be unwise to choose not to observe them carefully, as it would only lead to more disaster. The Chief Sergeant arrived at the mansion to find both Anu and Savina sitting outside, waiting with veiled patience for the entire pack to gather. He pace had slowed once more, just before the manor came into view, but the evidence of his hurrying was still plain to see. He panted as he approached, finally coming to a halt and leaning against the railing. He nodded a silent greeting to both his sister and her co-leader. There were so many things to say, so many questions to ask. Was his niece okay? What was going to happen now? But he remained silent, knowing that the meeting would answer his questions and that there would always be time to talk afterwards. This was an important moment for Crimson Dreams. They may not like it, but it had to be dealt with.

347 words There was a howl from his leader. Well technically there was someone above Savina in rank, at least to Ares' out-dated knowledge, but as he hadn't ever met that other wolfess the image that was summoned at the thought of a leader was that of the larger, dark female. Honestly, Ares was pretty surprised that there hadn't been any calls like this sooner. He'd been a member nearly a month, and this was the first official pack-thing he'd been summoned to. It was sorta weird. The idea of a pack was one of wolves that always spent time together, that did stuff, but really, other than the richness and safety of the territory he lived on, he might as well not be in the ranks of a pack for all his solitude. Oh, sure, he'd met 3, 4? pack members, but their encounters hadn't been long and did not come close to consuming as significant of a percentage of his time as he had expected. So he padded along happily, curiously, even if Savina's tone had held a hint of stress, of worry. If the pack was having troubles, well he'd be there with them, and everyone would fight the trouble together, like a pack. No, like an army! A thrill ran up his spine, tickling. Maybe they were going to war! Maybe they were even going to fight.. Dahlia de Mai. That would be so fucking awesomeee. Oh, and Mati would probably be there! Maybe he could even sit by her. The excitement ran through his veins, liquid like blood, but he quickly tugged a solemn mask down over his face, yellow eyes pretending to understand how grave the situation probably was. There were only three people there so far. Two of them were strangers. One was Savina. None were Mati, and equally none were talking. He wanted to sit by someone familiar, but the strange atmosphere combined with her position as the wolf who called this meeting made him a little uneasy about doing so, so he settled himself carefully at the edge of the group.

http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee19 ... _table.png); background-position: top center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> 300+ The young girl had been playing in the fields. She had wondered where her siblings were, but for that moment she had been content to be on her own, or, at least, she simply sat there. A little, lonely frown was upon her creamy maw, but the blue and green eyes had smiled down at a pretty flower, because she was glad that the flower and the ladybug were friends. She had thought that maybe she could play with them too. But, as she had begun to whisper, she had been interrupted. The ears pricked forward as she had seen the adults do, and they had seemed to respond with ease today. The young girl had recognized the voice of her mother immediately, but she was still learning the difference between the call of distress and a call of peace. The little girl had thought that it sounded a little sad, but she was always trying to be optimistic. Having bounded up and offering the flower and the ladybug a quick, "Bye bye," Amata had bounded away, her little paws carrying her as quickly as she could manage. When she arrived at the gathering, her little paws slowed with that suddenness that pups could manage. There were not many gathered, but it was a lot to the young girl. She saw her mother there, but mamma didn’t look happy. The creamy pup’s eyes grey sad, and her happy tail stopped moving. Slowly, she cocked her head and looked to Anu. Whas goin’ on, she wanted to ask, but the silence was heavy enough to keep the young girl silent. The sadness in her mamma was like nothing the daughter have ever seen before, especially within her mamma. It made her afraid. As she managed to let out a small whimper, the girl looked around, finding a stranger, an older boy. But she was not in the mood to play, and she knew that this was no place for it. She knew only that. Slowly, she inched her way to Uncle Ehno and hid behind his legs, pushing up against him for physical support. Her eyes, however, remained upon her mother, a question in her eyes.

Click here for the melody she was doing on piano. just the piano bit.
Flayra had been sitting on the piano chair, looking down at the ivory keys of the well crafted piano. Since she first saw this old standing instrument, she was curious about how it worked along with the different notes. From then to know, she had pretty much had the knowledge of it. She was just like a motionless body until she moved her finger up and tapped on one of the keys, which gave a mid high-pitch ding. She tapped another key with her other finger on her other hand, which gave a very low-pitch ding. Her other hand moved to the middle of the entire board, tapped on a key that gave a normal ding. Yep, it seemed to be rightly tuned. He placed her fingers on the musical keyboard of the piano. She wondered if she would do it right. There was this song that was playing in her head, like it was something to play. She wanted to listen to it on the piano. She was confident enough. She looked down to concentrate on the keys, moving each finger along, hitting the appropriate key note that seemed to go well with the song. She was playing a melody of regret and sorrow, or so that she thinks is about. She only had her mind on the song at hand, nothing more. Her song finished and her fingers ceased to move. Her song was finished. Her eyes closed as she looked down. It was a good song. Her mind was having a good idea to play it in her head. However, she didn't think on it for long after she heard the howl that was coming from the front door. She looked out the window of the piano room and saw that one of the leaders, whom she hasn't met yet, let out a howl to call for the pack members. A pack meeting? This would have to be the girls first. She moved and headed for the door, opening it and stepped out onto the porch, closing the door behind her. Looking out, there was only like five so far. She looked at the black female leader and nodded her head as she passed, walking down the steps onto the grass to join the other four. she looked around and saw someone who was familiar. Ares. Yes, Ares. The boy she met some week or so ago. There was a pup, white with different colored eyes, Anu, which Flayra remembers her meeting the girl at the border of Crimson Dreams, and another male. Maybe she could meet more members here. She hasn't met many of them, but maybe this was her chance to do so. She looked at Ares, then to the black female on the porch to listen to what she had to announce. The girl hoped that there might be a celebration sometime in the future.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v515/ ... banner.jpg); background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> WC: 400+ It was so easy to concentrate in the silence of the lake front. The only sounds where so natural and peaceful. The random 'woosh' of the breeze, the melodic singing of the birds, the rumble of the waves followed rhythmically by the 'glub glub' of it being kicked into rewind. Yep, nature was at its best in early summer. Jazper had flipped the old wooden row boat over. Since his meeting with Ares he had managed to bring a second boat to the lake, it was slightly larger and made of a flimsy metal. However, work had to be done on the wooden row before he would fix up the larger of the two. He rubbed a medium sized rock against the wood. The warrior had discovered that if he rubbed a flat rock against the wood, the wood eventually wore down becoming more even. In time with the waves he moved the rock over the rough parts of the wood. The boat was looking much better, all he had to do was finish getting the wood smooth and then it was just a matter of cutting a few pieces to stick in the holes and then painting it over. His ears perked rapidly at the piercing call. Savina. The rock fell from his hand absentmindedly as he flung himself to his feet just in time for Anu's voice to join the call. His insides shook at the sound as he ran as fast as his two legs could carry him and straight into the sorrowful scene in front of the mansion. He walked up to the group silently, his brow lowered over his bright yellow eyes as he watched Savina and Anu's pained faces. His right hand slid to the black leather belt that hung to his hips. His large hand lay on the red handle of his hunting knife as he urged his leaders with his mind. If someone had caused them grief he would deal with it in a matter of seconds. A small whimper snapped his hand away as he caught sight of little Amata hiding behind her uncle. Quietly he walked over and smiled weakly at Ehno as stood beside his pack mate, hopefully helping the pup's anxiety. He looked around at everyone for the first time. He had recently met their new members Ares and Flayra. He nodded curtly in their direction before smiling reassuringly over at Brooklyn. He hoped to the havens that the news wouldn't be as urgent as he was feeling.

300+ Slowly the members of Crimson Dreams all trickled in, separating from their previous tasks and congregating in front of the mansion. A young male Ehno had yet to properly meet arrived shortly after he did, followed closely by his cream-coloured niece. The Chief Sergeant had nearly caught his breath by then and he sat down beside the railing in a more comfortable position. He put his hand on Amata’s back in a brief reassuring gesture, hoping to calm her some. An unfamiliar she-wolf stepped out to join them, and shortly after more familiar faces appeared. He watched Naniko’s daughter for a brief moment, wondering if she had yet heard the news. How would she react if she hadn’t? Ehno didn’t dwell on that question for long, turning his head back to his sister and her co-leader as each took a moment to speak. He cast his eyes downward after the announcement had been made, a short, melancholy sigh his only reaction. The announcement wasn’t news to him, but it still wasn’t a pleasant thing to hear. He found himself nodding as Anu explained that their decision was for the good of the pack. Despite how he hated this turn of events, he had to agree with their decision. Leaders were expected to follow the rules and to keep the pack safe, just as any other member. Nani’s drug-clouded mind seemed to have forgotten this fact, and now she had to face her punishment. All Ehno could do now was hope that she would pull through this and try to support her, if she would let him. It seemed that his support was all he could offer Savina and Anu as well. He knew that this turn of events could not be easy for them either. He turned his gaze to the rest of the pack, amber eyes searching for their reactions. Some gathered here were closer to Naniko than others. He wondered how they would handle it.

465 words Next up was a puppy that Ares didn't recognize (although if he knew that it was partly because of her that Tokyo was forbidden from Crimson Dreams, he would have majorly loved the kid) who pressed up against the male who was there before him. Flayra came out from the manor, then a stranger of a young girl (Mati's age - did she have a sister?). Jazper, with a nod towards the adolescent boy, and then a strange white male with a puppy. Ares wasn't doing too bad. He'd met.. three out of nine, four out of ten if you counted the absent Mati. Although if you counted absentees, he'd have to know how many people weren't present, which he didn't. So he'd stick to 33%. Not a bad percentage, and he was proud of how quickly the math came to him. Yeah, he was pro like that. Savina started speaking. Oh, wow... Drugs. And it seemed Mati was inside, then. Caring for the poor puppy (his mind instantly categorized the unknown Cambria as a puppy, even though a daughter could easily be full grown as well). A bit of warmth flickered in him, a complex combination of odd pride and appreciation for the selflessness Mati was showing by helping out the pack. It was sort of weird, he didn't understand it, so he shook his head and tried to focus on what else Savina was saying. Shit, he actually missed part of what she was saying in his own blip of distraction. Naniko was on drugs, Mati was inside, and then Savina and Anu had to make a decision. No use worrying about what he missed, else he might miss further trying to remember. The important part was coming now, anyway, he could tell by her tone. Oh, yeah.. That was big. Ish. Naniko was no longer commander. Well, Ares supposed it would be big to those who knew her and swore loyalty to her, but he honestly didn't care that much beyond the fact that it seemed to be upsetting most people around him. He joined the pack under Savina's permission. She was his leader, for all intents and purposes, this changed nothin'. No one was talking, and it unnerved him. If it unnerved him, who had next to nothing at stake here, a brief flash of empathy made him realize the silence probably sucked pretty hard for Savina, as well. So he spoke, voicing a piece of his own internal monologue. "I'm sorry to hear that this sort of thing happened.. but I trust that you two made the right decision. You'll be a good Commander, Savina." Of course his initial impression of her, strong and stately, an elegant female demanding respect and obedience, was what he was basing his bold claim mostly upon.

http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee19 ... _table.png); background-position: top center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> 500+ Amata briefly looked up at Jazz when he came and stood next to Uncle Ehno and herself. Uncle Ehno’s comforting touch lessened the girl’s anxiety. Why was everyone so sad? Why was mamma so sad? The little girl looked to her mother, and the small smile that was given to her was returned in like kind. The little tail waved once in a tentative manner—maybe everything was okay. But suddenly, she was being attacked! The small girl squeaked quietly until she realized that it was her brother. She smiled then, rolling around as he nipped at her ear. She settled down beside him, feeling more comfortable with Gotham by her side and Uncle Ehno at the other. As she leaned against her dark brother, she wondered where Dadda was. And she wondered where Cambi was too. She was about to whisper her questions to her brother when her mother broke the silence. She lifted her head, the little ears perking forward—mamma still sounded sad. Everything seemed very confusing to the pup. Suddenly, everything seemed complicated and meant for grown-ups. She heard something about an accident, and something about human things, and a drug, whatever that was, and then she heard her sister’s name. Cambria was with Mati. "Cambi?" the creamy pup whispered to her brother. And then she heard Naniko’s name. The girl fell quiet, trying her very hardest to understand what the adults were saying. What was a drug? What was wrong with Cambria? The blue and green eyes looked back to her mother, and she saw the tears that brimmed in her eyes. Amata was surprised, and she wished that she knew what was going on. Of course, with the effort of trying to understand, many of the words that her mother was saying had escaped her. Her attention briefly went to Anu, who said that they were sad. The little pup nodded. Everyone seemed sad—even she felt sad. The creamy pup rose, crossing the distance between herself and her mamma with those stubby legs that moved as fast as they could without running, using the talking boy’s voice to help sneak across—Mamma was Commander now? Despite the fear and sadness and confusion, the girl felt a little proud too. The little ears were pressed against her head as she trotted up to her mamma, rubbing her head on her mamma’s leg and sitting beneath her. She wanted to ask her mamma where Cambi was, but now didn’t seem like the time. She looked out and could see Uncle Ehno and Gotham, and she could even see dadda from here. She looked up at her mother and slid down to a comfortably laying position, placing her chin upon her mother’s black paw. She wanted to comfort her mamma just like mamma comforted her. Those blue and green eyes looked up at the black female with doleful eyes: Cambi was with Mati, but could she go see her now? Her eyes found Gotham, and she wondered if he knew. She wondered if Dadda knew. He looked sad too...

Flayra looked around as a few more come to join in the meeting. One was a female, whom was a bit younger than Flayra herself, Jazper, the black friendly giganto who she met the other day, and a white male with a young male pup that came out the door behind the girl. She wondered if there would be more that would come by, but this was a good amount. One's better than none when it came to meeting new people. She knew some of them, even Anu, who was with the black female on the porch that she walked by. Since this was a pack meeting, would Naniko be here too? Actually, wouldn't she be announcing the meeting since she's the Commander? Because if the girl was informed correctly, the black female is Savina Marino, who was like second in command. Why is she calling the meeting?
No matter how many times the girl looked around, her gaze always seemed to stop on Ares, the boy which she met the other day also. Talking to him then, the two learned about certain things. However, each time that her eyes passed Ares, she always seemed to stop. It was something about him that made her seem more... interested in him. Though they met recently, she wanted to know more about him. Maybe they can meet up later and chat. It was at the mention of Naniko that Flayra was paying attention. She listened to what Savina had to say. Apparently, Naniko was on drugs and that one of the packs pups got into it. Thankfully, the pup was recovering. For having drugs, Naniko was banished. Flayra couldn't believe it. The one person that was kind to her and treated the girl like... well, a daughter of sorts, was kicked out because of having drugs. God, what was happening in this world. Though the girl didn't show any sign that this affected her, she remained calm not to cause a scene. Besides, she hardly saw her anyways. She looked again at Ares as he replied to what the new black leader said. Flayra then looked at Anu, then Savina. The girl didn't have much to say. All she did was move around, stopping not far away from Ares as she gazed at Savina.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v515/ ... banner.jpg); background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> WC: 700 OC: drama :O Standing silently the sound of two sets of paws made his large black ears twitch behind him. Turning his gaze away from Savina's his golden eyes watched Kansas's white body approach, followed closely at the heel by his son. He himself wasn't on the best of terms with Kansas, never had been. They weren't enemies or anything, they just didn't talk much. Kansas had Savina and his pups. While Jazper had nothing really. Mahlouk had even disappeared lately. The only thing they had in common was that they would both do anything for the pups and Savina. Hell, he would die for Kansas as well but, out of duty for his pack. As the white male sat at the back the warrior returned his gaze to the front in time to see the black women's ears flick back. His own ears folded back accordingly. Was she upset with Kansas? As she cleared her throat Jazper realized that everyone who was going to show up was here, and that didn't include Mahlouk. He sighed slightly as the leader began to speak. As she spoke her nerves where clear and strong. What could be so bad to leave the her so shaken, she had always been so calm and in control. The pack stayed silent as the bad news was reviled. Naniko had been on drugs? She never seemed the type to use drugs. He has always believed Nani had been a brilliant mother and a great user of herbs for healing. Upon hearing that one of the pups had been hurt because of the drugs Jaz's ears returned to laying against his head. Poor Cambria! He held in a worrisome whimper as he listened to the rest of the tale silently. By the end the entire pack stood silent in shock or disbelief. How could Naniko let this happen? She always had been such a sweet leader, so understanding to him. But to be bluntly uncaring towards a fellow pack mates pup...that was just horrible. He looked around and watched the others faces until, finally, someone stepped forward. Ares. His voice rang clear and put a stop to the silence that had occurred. So, he would stand with Savina. Of course Ares would do that, he was new. Had he even known Naniko? Savina was right about one thing, he for one did not want drugs in the mansion, let alone around the pups. His thoughts where interrupted by Brooklyn's hard voice. He flinched slightly as she yelled at Ares for sticking with Savina but didn't move to protect the poor boy from her rage. She was angry and that was only natural, he wouldn't get in her way of giving her opinion. As the girl ran away the Knight moved beside Ares and patted the boy on the shoulder whispering, "Don't take it personally lad." Turning to the two leaders he cleared his own throat and walked forward a few feet. "I don't believe either of you would lie to us. If Naniko..if she was really doing drugs and those drugs brought harm to one of the pups then she was in the wrong." Pausing he lowered his eyes a little and talked quieter directly too Anu and Savina, "You both know that my pack is in essence my family since I have none of my own.." He trailed off and looked pleadingly at the girls to understand, "It's not that I don't stand by you I just have to protect all of my family, and that includes Naniko." He took a few steps back, glanced at Ares, and spoke loud once more "As a pack this obviously challenges our values. I for one believe that nothing should be in the mansion that could harm someone. Our pack has always considered ourselves to be an accepting family and we need to accept that Naniko will return when she is ready." His golden eyes looked from Savina then to Anu, "I just ask your permission to seek Naniko out to reassure myself and Brooklyn that she is, generally, okay." Or that she hadn't run off to do something stupid. Wether that be attacking someone from another pack or causing herself harm he had to make sure she was okay.
