Non-Mandatory pack meeting. :3 backdated to Feb 5.

She had been thinking about what she wanted to say to them all morning. A glance outside of the cave system had told her that it was beginning; an odd silence had fallen over the lands, no birds chirping from the forests surrounding their mountain home, no movement at all other than the quiet snow falling down from the heavens above. She had used her broom to sweep some of it away from the entrance nearest to her den, the eastern entrance, but it was now building up faster than she could sweep it away.

The alabaster wolf stood at the rear wall of their main common room, a small fire burning slowly before her. Liev had warned her that a storm of large proportions was likely to sweep through, but she hadn't known how badly it would hit them in the mountains. They were underground; surely they wouldn't be too badly affected by a little bit of snow. She wasn't sure how much snow they were going to get, though, and felt it would be best to make the pack aware of this storm so that they could get hunkered down. Naniko had been storing food since Liev's warning, melting snow down into water to drink and keeping that in their liquid storage room, freezing kills in yet another storage room.

The Angela let out a howl, a call that echoed through the caverns and caves. She had a few other announcements to make as well, and hoped that any pack members who were around would choose to come to listen to what she had to say. She wanted to talk about what had happened with Inferni and about her promotion of Theodore, as well. She had asked the male to help her with keeping their border safe and to help her with developing a few ideas that she'd had running through her head for a while. She sat back to wait for the pack to gather, clearing her throat in preparation to speak.

Theodore had known about this meeting for a few days, well in fact since Naniko had proposed to promote him and he'd accepted. They'd sat in the outdoor pool together and talked about the future of the pack and the rate that they were expanding. There were more members than any other pack, though of course Teddy was not to know this. He only knew that they were large in number and there was no reason that they would stop. Naniko appeared to have a lot of family in the area and outside and they appeared to flock around her pristine white petti-coats. Teddy was sure there would be more D'Angelo's around here soon. He could feel it in his bones. Of course, he didnt know what time of day Naniko would be calling this meeting and the steady flurry of snow creeping over the mountains was blocking the sunlight out.

Teddy lay in his den, organising and re-organising his weapons. He knew he needed to find a small dagger that he didnt use for anything else to be able to accept new members into Anathema. All his daggers and knives right now were used for something. He might have to take a trip to Halifax or elsewhere to see if there were any small daggers lying about. It was then that he heard the call from the white woman herself. With a soft sigh the warrior leaned up and shuffled off his bed. He wasnt dressed but that didnt really matter. Shifting quickly down into his lupus form the newly appointed Rakeeb exited the room.

His room was the closest to one of the entrances that Naniko had decided to howl in. Though this pack meeting wasnt mandatory and therefore no sacrifice was to be made, Teddy still assumed Naniko would have called everyone to the ceremony room. Still, this was her choice and as Teddy walked up behind her and allowed his head to brush her side before coming to rest beside her. He would have sat in front of her but he felt that since he was now Rakeeb, his place was by her side. Blue eyes watched the snow falling on the ground with interest, wondering how bad this was going to get. He said nothing to the white woman, but then again he didnt really need to, did he.

Sele had been thinking about sneaking away to get out of the caves. To go out and spend a bit of time on her own. These thoughts, and the way that she had been heading down to sneak out one the back entrance, had been halted once she heard her sister's call. After the meeting, she would go out after the meeting. She could at least put in some face time at the meeting and then be on her way. After all she didn't want anyone to notice that she was missing. If she didn't show up for the meeting then it certainly would be noticed and she couldn't have that.

Turning around from where she had been going she went back through the cave system, found her way back down the pathways, and made her way to where only two forms had already gathered. Not even considering why the male was sitting next to her sister Sele went to go sit at Nani's other side. She leaned her head in to try and rest it against Nani. She still desired comfort from her older sister.

Of course Juju had ended up tagging along as well. He had seen his mother heading to the meeting when he was about to ask what was going on but just simply ended up following. There was some part of his mind that told him that this might just end up being important so he had to be there for it. Though he would rather be running around the caved with Scorpius instead. That idea sounded like much more fun than just sitting around as everyone seemed to be doing. Still he moved over to sit with his mother for the time being since he didn't see his cousin anywhere around as of yet.

This is a reference for the dress Dress

Coding by Sie

In Character

It was with great reluctance that her ears swiveled and perked atop her head hearing her aunts call. She didn’t care much for get together and all their fuss with tradition but one thing at least got her moving. Demi slipped on the beautiful purple dress that Sage had fixed several days ago for her, hugging almost every curve in the fashion of a mermaid dress. Flowing easily all the way down to the floor. Somehow she had grown very fond of clothes lately, and this dress was loved now that the cut fit her now. It was worn basically to drive someone crazy; no other reason was needed for her to wear it. But today she wanted to see just how Teddy reacted.

She had thought of running away from the clan, after the confrontation with Theo. But the show of jealousy had intrigued her a bit, and it also caused her to think several things through. Maybe she’d wait for him to figure himself out; if he never did then she wouldn’t stick around in a cage keeping herself clean for him. Demi walked with soft footsteps into the common room, where the howl originated, eyes looking over the sparse crowd before settling on her Aunt and Teddy next to her. An eyebrow rose in question, wondering what he was doing. Surely her aunt wasn’t foolish enough to promote the dumb headed brute to a leadership position. The prospect of having to deal with him now as a superior didn’t set well with her if it was true.

Her hands slowly rested on her hips as she took a place toward the back to lean against a wall. Finally her blue eyes found her mother amongst them and quietly she gave her a soft smile. Contemplating going and taking a spot by her. But she decided against it, her place wasn’t up with the self appointed leaders, she’d rather sit in the back and watch the so called spectacle before slipping out to return to her own ideas.

Pontiac was a love sick fool, so love sick that the weather did not have her stressing and worrying, which was not her. She was the one that would fuss over not enough snow, or in this case to much snow. But she did not care; her mind was on the black male that she loved enough to replace Ty in her heart. The tan and white female heard the call of the white leader, her sister. The love sick females stood up, she gasped it was time to face the music and see her sisters since she had allowed her-self to fall in love with the Inferni member! She brought her-self to her two legs as she made a swoop down picking up her faithful old hat, placing in upon her head the female made sure that it was sitting properly upon her head before the panicking female took off. She did not make it fast to get there however she made sure not the one of the last, she wanted to fly under the radar with her love affair with Itzal.

She found her sister in the area from where the call was made, both sisters where there. The tan and white female quickly found a spot, she did not care what anyone thought, and the female took a spot where she felt like she had every right being, with her two sisters. They each had something that put them apart with looks, but Pontiac loved Naniko, and Selene just as much if they were all litter mates. She took a knee and rested her weight upon her knuckle as she looked over to the fearless leader.

Eris and the puppies will be NPCed by me in this thread, just so everyone is aware that Sie will not be posting.

The children had all been excited to hear the call echo through the caves. Now that they were old enough to be aware of the importance of such things they had been hoping to participate and meet the pack they were part of. Larkspur had been gruff when he had told them to mind their manners, pointing out that Naniko’s older son would be on his best behavior and they should be no different. After several whines, the trio had settled in after being threatened with being left behind.

As a unit, the family moved out of their large home and towards the central area. Others were gathered, many that Larkspur did not know by name. The scarred wolf moved towards the front of the group, Eris at his side. She looked less excited to be here than the children, who were taking in the sights with gleaming eyes and barely-still bodies. He sat and motioned for them to do the same and the three did so quickly, as if frightened they might be sent home. Eris joined him, keeping her eyes on the squirming puppies as they eagerly waited to see what their leader would say—and so she would not need to speak much to anyone around them, Larkspur figured.

Tayui heard the call, a rousing sound that lifted her from the depths of her sleep. Somehow, she had climbed her way into a tree and spent some time thinking — mostly reminiscing — and eventually lulled herself into a pleasant afternoon nap. However, the shock of awakening nearly sent her tumbling out, down into the snow. Tayui paused and caught her balance, digging into the bark with her thick, strong claws. He drew her hand closed and hand it on the tree for a moment before wrenching her hand out. Her other hand rested gently on the branch, a precaution to keep her stable.

As she shook off the last dredges of sleep, she descended down from the tree and landed in the snowy terrain with a hard oomph. She yawned and glanced around, quickly realizing that she was not too far from where the call had originated. She was certainly close enough to walk there in her Optime form.

The snow was heavy and past her knees, but she liked the feeling of walking through it in this form. She had missed the winter; it had always been her favourite season.

When Tayui arrived, she was in a fabulous mood. She found her way through the caves to the meeting place and found Naniko and Theodore there waiting. She spotted a few other members she didn’t recognize as well as Eris, her puppies, and who must have been Larkspur. Tayui found an empty space near a wall and sat down, leaning back against it.

No posting order; post at will. :3

She wasn't pleased that some members hadn't chosen to come to the meeting, but that couldn't be helped. Many members were probably busy doing their pack duties or were out of the territory, and she didn't expect everyone to show. Theodore came to sit next to her and she raised her hand to him in greeting. She had asked him to stand alongside her as another leader. She hadn't seen Azalea in a while, and wasn't sure if the dark female was still around.

Selene was next to arrive and she smiled widely at her. Since they had been reunited, the girl had been an important part of her life; she wished that they hadn't been apart from one another so long, but they were making up for lost time now. She lifted her arm to give Selene a hug, moving to try and rough up the fur on her head a little. Demi, Pontiac, and Larkspur's family arrived, as well as Tayui, the beautiful female that had come to the pack in its beginnings. Naniko was glad to see so many family members and non-family members as well, happy to see that some of them had decided to stick it out and stay in Anathema for the long haul.

"I have not seen Azalea around any more and have chosen to promote Theodore to Rakeeb to assist me with watching the borders and helping me with other pack duties. He is a fine warrior and deserving of such a position; he defended our borders alongside me against an intruder a few weeks past." She started. "He will speak to you about that threat. Besides that, another piece of news that I have for you is that Liev predicted a snowstorm of massive proportions. He said that this storm would last many days and being in the mountains, I expect that will mean a lot of snow for us. I've stored food and have been melting down water from the snow, and those can be found in the storage rooms."

At least her family had shown themselves even if others in the pack hadn't. Two of those that she had greeted at the borders weren't around. Had she scared them off? Perhaps. Maybe if she hadn't come to this gathering then more would be present. Of course it had to be her fault that so many were missing, correct? There was just no way that it couldn't be her fault. She was to blame for everything. That is why she had to leave, to get out, after this meeting was over with. She needed some time to face and deal with her inner demons on her own.

She put on that smile of hers as Nani seemed happy to see her. She returned the hugs that she was given, sticking close to her sister's side. She didn't even mind that her fur was messed up. Actually gave a soft laugh with the gesture and just made to push her head against the other female's hand to allow her to continue. It was such a small gesture but it meant a lot to her. Still it did nothing to ease the dark thoughts that continued to creep around her mind.

She watched as others showed up. Not many but it seemed enough for her sister to start talking. Zale was gone? What happened to Zale? The cult...? She gave a worried glance up at her sister. She couldn't speak the thought on her mind right now but she wondered if Zale's disappearance had something to do with where they came from. She didn't know this Theodore other than that he had been around when they had first gotten back to Souls. And well Liev was entirely unknown. Still she listened to the news though it had little interest to her. No, her mind was stuck on what happened to Zale.

Tayui was surprised to hear of the disappearance of Azalea. The news was wholly unexpected, especially because Tayui would never have thought a founding leader to simply disappear only a month after the creation of a pack. Azalea and Naniko had created this pack in their image, so Tayui could not think why someone would want to abandon that. While she could struggle to understand this strange turn of events all she liked, she supposed it wouldn’t matter in the end. From what Naniko said, Azalea had simply stopped existing in the pack lands and so, Naniko had promoted Theodore out of twofold necessity.

Tayui frowned when Naniko began to explain that there had been a border breach. This was less surprising seeing as how new the pack was. She expected that there would be a few border scuffles while the pack was still establishing itself. That gave her all the more reason to practice her fighting skills should she need to defend herself from a stubborn loner.

Naniko’s third piece of news was surprising and a little unwelcome. Tayui didn’t enjoy snow storms simply because it meant she couldn’t go outside. She hated being holed up in the caves, so she supposed she would have to make the best of things until the storm hit. She wondered if it would be a good idea to organize a few more pack hunts to make sure they could last through the storm. She doubted it would last more than a few days at worst, and while she could survive for twice as long (and maybe even longer) without food, she was a little worried it might be difficult to hunt after the storm. She considered asking this, but kept quiet. She wanted to hear about this border breach before she said anything.

Nyx de Jinx was away, busy organizing her cave home. She keep away from other these weeks, trying to get everything ready and organized. Oddities where neatly away in shelves, ready for thier purpose in her craft. Between collecting things such as bones, feathers and crystals she had been creating a desk in which to do her craft. Being a crafts person called for organization, or at least order in her mind. Being organized would help her to maintain her craft and cause less of a mess or even injuries such as when working with the flame.

Lost in deep concentration she finally stopped to use the amythest that she had found earlier in the caves of Anathema. She took a small hammer and pick to take a small crystal from it's larger source. With a small tap it came loose. Just as the hammer hit the howl of the Angelo hit her ears like a bell. Nyx stopped her work, ears perked and eyes darted to the entrance of her home. Nyx put the crystal to the side of her desk and got up. She knew it was for a call of a meeting. Quickly, she walked briskly out the door in her optime form. She knew she must go.

The dark petite female began to ran through the snow as the howl stopped. She traveled quickly atop the snow, her fur in stark contrast. Soon she saw Naniko and a few other familiar faces, and many unfamiliar faces. Never the less they where pack. Soundlessly, she strolled in and took a seat and heard Naniko speak. She heard something of a snow storm, a potential threat.

Sorry for the boring post, lacking muse atm ¬.¬

His eyes thinned as he focused on his task at hand, threading tiny beads. Yesterday he had spent hours making the bracelet with dark stings and was now trying to stitch on the gold bead design he had thought up the night before onto it. The design was meant to represent stars in a night sky, to show that even in darkness there shall be light, the concept had intrigued him and he wanted to show it through his craft. Light cream and gold beads formed the moon while light gold and silver smaller beads made the stars, or at least that was what he was aiming for.

Then the call of his Angela broke his concentration, he dropped the bead he was holding and stabbed himself with the needle. The male sighed and went to look for the bead. Looking around he could not locate the bead and so picked another one from his pot; he wanted to finish it whilst the design was in his mind, then he’d head to the meeting. He had only three more beads to sew on then it would be finished.

Once he had finished with his bracelet he promptly left his room and headed towards the meeting. It had already begun and so he slipped into the back, keeping himself away from the others. He felt uncomfortable being in a room with so many others, but tried to concentrate on what Naniko was saying. She confirmed that a storm was coming and had made preparations, he nodded, pleased that he and the others should be fine during the storm.

His back pressed against one of the walls, his arms crossed across his chest as he waited to see if anyone else was going to speak. Scanning over those that had gathered he realized that he recognised the majority of those who had gathered, which helped him relax if only alittle.

It had only been a few days since Giuseppe had returned to the pack lands, Matteo at his heels like the good boy he was. He was glad to have found a place to start all over again. Ever since his father had kicked Matteo and himself onto the boat he had been plotting day and night, forming a plan to stop Matteo from gaining his confidence back. Meeting Naniko had been exactly what Giuseppe was looking for. Here in Anathema they lived like their wolf ancestors would have, under ground in a cave. In this lifestyle he would thrive while his brother remained scared and unsure of his new environment. Eventually his white sibling would grow use to their den but until then the dark hybrid was flying high, pleased with his successful plot.

The howl left the brute slightly confused. He understood that it was a call to the pack but who had sent it? Having only been a part of the pack for a few days it was difficult for the new commer to pin point who's howl it was since he had only met Naniko to date. Sticking his head out of the cave he could smell the scents of others cluttering into a single room. “Well come on then!” He grumbled to Teo as he started off in the direction of the smell, a little lost as to where he was going.

Arriving late for the meeting he looked around and smiled. This pack was greater in numbers than he had originally thought. Leaning against the rocky wall the first part of the announcement was lost on his large ears as he didn't know who Azalea or Theodore were. It was the information about the snowstorm that caught his attention. Whoever Liev was believed that there was going to be a snowstorm. If he was right then the dark tones dog mix was one of the luckiest dogs out there to have found a place to stay in such short notice. How bad could the storm be though?

Great.

It was just great!

Big, round paws stomped heavily in the rocky gound with the long steps, making a quick, but not so desperate pace. He had been checking the weather, making some tests on the atmosphere moisture and pressure, direction and strenht of the wind, and such things, just so he could have a better grip on how, when and where would the storm hit their territory. From his readings, it was closing in, but some of his instruments shown there would be a small snowing during these days. Only then would the snow strike them.

Yet, during his tests, Naniko's howl dug through the air faintly, with a dying echo. She had done it not too far, but he couldm't tell if it was from inside the caves or too close to a mountain's side. Eaither of the situations could have caused the echo.

Anyhow, it was a call. For a meeting.

As quickly as he could, the Russian reassembled his instruments back into their bag. He'd have to leave them on his room before going to the meeting, and it would take some of his time. As swiftly as he could, trying not to sink too deep in the soft snow, the grayish man made his way through the hills until reaching one of the entrances. He crossed every corner without hesitation or thinking about it, so used he was to the tunnel system. Soon, the worn out leather door was spotted, and he waved it off, lyed his bag carefully on one of the log tables, and went after the others.

Once the man found the place where the meeting was taking plae, he noticed many were there already. Just some swift glances were more than enough for him to name the faces in front of him. Two, however, were knew. Coydogs, the Russian could tell from the scent, and maybe brothers, since they smell were so alike. The Anatheman scent was faint on them, but the enough so to say they had joinned not too long ago, but not too close either.

Ears turned backwards in respect as he searched for a place to stay, and settled down on an outbursted rock near a wall. He sat there, hugging one of his knees close to his chest, tail wagging side to side as slowly as it could. A small sign of his antecipation to the Angela's speech.

However, purple hued eyes would slowly travel towards the unknown members he took to be still Zepars, though the white one with pink/blue eyes close to bigger, darker one seemed to be an older pup of sorts. His attention at the nearing forms in the big room got diverted as he sneaked glipses towards them, though careful not to stare. At least not for too long. The Russian had a weakness, and it was his wild curiosity. Any new thing in his life - or someone else's, for that matter - caught his full attention, don't matter how ordinary it might be. No wonder he ad goten so good in so many areas. His curiosity forced him to investigate the unknown, and it led to multiple discoveries of his, be it in alchemy, witchcraft, anatomy, evolution, astrology, astronomy, psycology, human history, or geography. And right now, they were the new things.

When he was about to look at them again, the D'Angelo leader spoke, her voice filling the room and his mind, startling him lightly. Sheepishly, he turned his attention to the woman. The newcomers being as fascinating as they were, his Angela always came first in the ex-warrior's mind. He swallowed his curiosity and heard carefully to her words.

She said Theodore had been promoted into Rakeeb, a member of the Council. His eyes opened a bit more than usual. Then, a smile. The grayish Luperci couldn't be happier for his friend. Yes, since he had saved Theodore's life, they had become friends of sorts. Slowly, but surely, became friends. And the foreigner trusted on the black warrior's judgement when it came strategies and fighting, though his ideas of how to have fun weren't exactly as safe as anyone would have in mind. Still, the Russian was happy and proud of the new Rakeeb.

Then, she mentioned his name and his warning about the storm, and purple orbs glanced to his side. Besides his golden flask, there was a wallet notebook where he had been leaving sketches for his maps, notes, calculations and, the most recent ones, the notes on his weather testings. He then glanced back at the white wolf. "If may I speak, milady?" He said, his husky voice echoing lightly, asking for the permission to speak.´"Just now, I was out in our territories, running some tests on the weather, and I'm afraid it won't be long until the snowstorm arrives. I'd like to suggest that everyone avoid staying out for too long or being too far from the cave system entrances. But, if it is needed to, I'd ask you to carry with yourselves some supplies, such as ropes, warm clothing or pieces of fur, water, and some first aid kits, if available. If not, I have a few with me, and I'd be more than glad to share. And if anyone have spares, I'd ask you to do the same." He spoke lowly, leaving a share of his glance in each and everyone inside the cave.

He had been through such situations more than enough to know how unpredictable such storms could be. And if there was something he knew, it would be how awful it could be to be caught on the middle of the storm. It was almost terrifying how the veil of snow falling heavily blinded him of any checkpoint or refference, and how the harsh wind could freeze one to the very bones. Oh, how many of his underlings had lost their toes, tail tips or even their ears with the gangrene, caused by the cold. How many had fell with the hipotermy, or drowned in the frozen lakes. It was awful, and he would never allow anyone there to get themselves in such situations.

feel free to kick me very hard in the face!

Naniko had given him a wave upon his arrival and he was glad to see that he was the first to have arrived. His recent promotion meant that he couldnt just swagger into this meeting half an hour late and claim that he had been watching the borders- it wasnt befitting of a Rakeeb to show up late. So he was pleased when he had gotten there first. Feeling small and inadequate next to Naniko's bulking optime form, Theodore quickly shifted and settled next to the woman. No words were passed between them, but they didnt really need to be. They both knew why they were here, what they were here for. A simple hello was given in the form of a head nod or other form of communication non-verbal. They settled in silence therefore and brilliant blue eyes watched as they began to straggle in.

First was Naniko's sister, Selene. He had never really spoke to the woman, finding her odd and a little strange for being unable to walk upright. He supposed she had never been taught, but he had never outright spoken to her. It was Naniko's job to address her sister. They appeared to share silent words between eyes as his own gaze was caught by the stomping figure that could only be Demi. He flashed her a grin but otherwise ignored her- she didnt appear too happy about the fact that he had come to settle by Naniko's side. In fact, she looked rather angry about that fact. Well, he had kicked off at her the other day. Perhaps he should back off for a while, make sure she didnt feel as thought he was going to whip her for looking at another guy. Naniko's other sister Pontiac came next, another of his pale lady's family he had yet to say anything to.

He could see the rabble that was the Eternity/D'Angelo family come along and the young warrior couldnt help but smile. Larkspur had earned the warriors respect when they had hunted together. Eris was a bit of an oddball and had been when Anathema was first created. In Theodore's mind anyway. He watched as Tayui strolled in and the young warrior smiled softly. He liked the older woman who reminded him of his own mother. He gave her a respectful nod as she came to settle in the group of wolves. Nyx arrives, followed by Alaki. He nodded in turn to both of these. However, the two dogs that turned up next were a bit of a concern for the warrior. He had never seen them before and they both smelled very fresh and new to the pack. He might have to speak to them at some point. It was Liev rushing in that caused the man to smile for once. He wondered where the bone coloured man, Viking, was. And the blonde pup who was so grown up for a naive young one. There were quite a few missing and he wondered where they were. However, Naniko had begun to speak and he looked at her for a moment.

He hadnt thought about what he was going to say, he just figured he would come and tell them all what had happened. And warn them against causing further conflict with Inferni. Of course, to Teddy's mind a full on war with the coyote's would be a fun time, but it wouldnt benefit the pack. However, as he was about to speak, Liev cut across him. The need to snap at the man was forced back and he looked at him hard for a moment before backing off. He had been a little slow to say anything and the Russian had every right to speak about the coming storm. He spoke sensibly and Teddy nodded softly in his direction before opening his mouth to speak.

"Thank you Liev. As Naniko mentioned, I would like to give a little more insight into what happened a few weeks ago. I intercepted a spy trying to get into the deeper recesses of Anathema. Naturally, I thought they were going for the pups. I asked him to leave and he feigned ignorance. Anathema does not tolerate spies and a direct threat to the packs future could not be tolerated. I took him to the borders, where he still refused to leave. Naniko dispatched of the intruder. Intruders will not be tolerated and can be punishable by death. I ask, however, that you do not kill these intruders without Naniko or I knowing what is happening. Call us before you take action, so we can understand the situation. Also, I urge that you do not openly seek conflict with Inferni- we feel as though tensions are running high between us and conflict must be avoided."

He tried to sound professional and diplomatic, the words pouring out of his mouth before he had time to really digest them. Of course, it was out there now and there was really nothing he could do about it. Still, he got everything out that he wanted to say. A glance to the sky and back to earth before he remained silent once more, waiting to see if Naniko had anything more to say.

The young fidgeted, as was expected for such an event. Larkspur made low noises in his throat to remind them to settle, which they did as best they could. He spoke mostly in an odd, feral sort of thing to them. It was the same way he spoke to the horse—without words, using his body and noises to communicate. Until he had met Misery, he had known very little as far as language was concerned. It was still a barrier to him, but he was surprisingly quick and picked up on meanings as they were presented to him.

Naniko mentioned her dark cohort had vanished, something that meant little to Larkspur. In his brutal world, the weak had no place leading. If she had been so quick to do so, she was not made out rule in the first place. The choice of Theodore, the rather blunt wolf with the blue eyes was one that Larkspur agreed with. While he instinctively favored male leadership, he had found it lacking in many people. Teddy was not one of them. The boy had the will to dominate, and made such a thing present. Satisfied with this choice, he made certain the children observed him as well. They would need to know the faces of the people in charge.

A bluster of activity brought more news, including a coming snowstorm and an intruder in the lands. Inferni. Larkspur growled low in his throat, his own hatred for the clan a deep one. They had cost him Haku, his home, scarred his face. At his side Eris shifted uncomfortably, and Larkspur reassured her by wrapping an arm around her waist protectively. This seemed to release the tension from her, and the dark man focused forward, waiting to see if there was more to be said.
