He had his things to fight for, and they were good reasons to take up arms. If another threatened his mate Heath would become something he had never wished to be, a murderer. His father was one, and Heath wished to be as far from the male who had sired him as possible. But for Ruri, Heath would do anything, become anything. This was what she made, a stable peace-loving creature that was new to the concept of love but no longer fearful of it. The two canines did understand one another, and he was glad as well for it. He agreed with what she spoke, and it gave him a sort of smile on his face that not ever beast saw. He took her hand, holding it firmly to seal their new alliance. He had few that he trusted, but the female was entering that small group the first day they met. He nodded, allowing her to get her things together.

He watched the horses as she went to her things, checking their status and how they fared. No one seemed uneasy, though Lumière watched his every step and called when he got too far for her liking. It did not take her too long, and soon enough she called to him. Gold eyes looked to her, ears perked with interest. ”Most stay in the hotel, its not far from here. I guess we could go looking around there. “ he spoke as he began their short walk. It was place he had only been briefly, and would appreciate a second look for himself. “Its not a bad set-up. There is also a castle along the coast, but I have never been.” He said as he pointed in the direction of the old ruins. He mainly stuck to his two destinations, his taste for exploring not as powerful as his liking for consistency and habit.
