Today Haku’s frame held one more hue than it usually did: Blood; his own, Gabriel’s and a loner’s still clung to his fur, staining muzzle, chest, paws and back. He looked much like a madman as he approached the Phoenix Valley wolf, but that was pretty much the truth anyway. He could not hide behind the mask forever.
