Flayra
The ground was soft with the mornings rain, but the world around the small meadow was coming to life. Mati had retreated from her sunroom abode and just began to stroll out behind the Manor. Her pace was lazy; even though when she had woke she had curse it’s name and wished the rain to end. Now that it had Mati had wandered whole-heartedly out into the open air, but she walked with a calm and reflective nature, absorbing each rain scented breath as her eyes danced over the new greens that peaked through winter’s dieing browns.
A hand went to the waves of mane that she had tried to pin up and away from her face; stands were often misbehaving and falling into her eyes. Part of her wished to run to the Marino girls room, to ask if she would walk through the now calm spring afternoon with her. Her relationship with Cambria was too new for her to be busting down her door for an audience. But in these moments of solitude Mati could hardly make it a minute without her mind trailing back to the sea-green eyed female.
The valley spread out in front of her, and she traveled to its middle. Carrying a tattered old sketchbook (one of her very firsts) Mati searched for the focal of her next sketch. She sat in the grass, eyes looking at the older pages that she been doodled and drawn on when she was as young as six months of age. They were so primal, harsh lines that reminded for of the days when she had yet learned to use the hands she had now perfectly.
