The rock sailed through the air in a gentle arc, landing squarely in swift hands as Tangi strode along the path worn down by so many pairs of paws. She tossed it up again, into the cloudy sky, only to be blinded by the sun as it peeked from it's hiding place and forced her to close her eyes and let the stone drop. Irrationally angered, she snarled up at the sun and snapped her teeth. The moment passed and she averted her eyes back to the path through the trees, looking around to see if anyone was near. Thankfully she was still alone. The stone lay forgotten behind her, and she continued on her way.

The red wolfess rounded a bend in the path that revealed an open area with beautiful pastures, her destination clear as day nearby; the horse fields. A grin revealed itself upon her face as she threw fear to the wind and ran up to the fence eagerly. There were at least ten horses grazing and just being generally lazy throughout the pasture. She had been planning on coming to this spot for a while now, but had never worked up the courage. As a pup she had once tamed a wild mustang while her sister had watched in awe, and ever since she'd had a soft spot for horses unlike anything else.

Bouncing on the balls of her feet, Tangi reached the fence and put one hand on a post. She clambered ungracefully over the side, scraping a leg on the rough wood. She had heard word that there were a few spare horses inside, used by those who didn't want the sole responsibility of the creature, and that if she wanted she could claim one as her own. The thought was too enticing to continue to ignore, and so she had come to the field that day. Just as she paused by the rough fence, suddenly irrationally afraid to take a closer look at the horses, a grey horse walked from out of nowhere along the fence, with it's female rider patting it softly on the mane. Frightened by the sudden appearance only a foot or two from her front, Tangi yelped and pulled her foot back midstride. Unable to keep her balance she slid on the trodden earth and fell onto her back.

She stared up at the sky with the cursed sun mocking her with it's beams aimed straight at her eyes once more, dazed. The world seemed to spin and she lost all clue of where in space she was. Her elbow was bruised and her tail was curled at an uncomfterable angle, but her main concern why on earth she had let something so stupid happen to herself.
