The broken clock is a comfort

The tall wolfess leaned forward for a moment, resting her arms on her legs as she listened to the wounded woman. She didn’t know how she turned into pure action and adrenalin that pushed her to attempt to move the large roof, though only after calling the rest of the pack. The lines were still on her hands, but she had refused the bandages days and days ago. They were tight scars, and she needed to keep her hands warm and loose as they healed. She rubbed them gently, I guess. was her only response. It hadn’t been a full success, Ghita was proof of that. But it could have been worse, far worse.

Thinking of Cambria placed Mati somewhere else. It was like a different life, one that she never wanted to leave. She was a bit uneasy (though only a small bit) speaking to Ghita when she was worried that all her emotion would leak out onto her features. It was not Strel, who was her good friend and liked males himself and thus seemingly in the same boat. She couldn’t help but hesitate for a moment as the warm feeling rose in her chest and her heart skipped and jumped.

Not badly, no. Her voice was rushed and she waved her hand as she shook her head. Oh no no no no… there was no need to worry. Cambria was okay, not well, but she had seen harder times and Mati was actually grateful for her positive attitude, since she had been the weak one when she had gone to see her. A few bumps, bruises and scrapes. Her ribs are sore, but she will recover quickly. She assured the aunt. Mati was simply happy to know, to finally know that she would be okay, that they bother would be. It was the moments of unknowing (moments that felt like hours) that were the worst.
