When Kaena had returned home, long after Vieira was finished with the garden, she had been waiting in the main room of the cave. She had spent a while cleaning out her fur with her hands and a bit of water from the ocean and was dry. Her golden eyes searched Kaena's expression for a moment but she could not determine how she felt and when the slave brought up the garden and that she was done—something she felt a small sense of pride over—she was given a hostility she had not seen in a while. When she imagined Kaena would want to see it, she sent Vieira away and her feelings were hurt. It was not easy to hurt Vieira in such an indirect way, she was so used to the ignoring that it would not matter, but her days in Inferni had softened her and Kaena being angry at her for no apparent reason but a damp on the woman.

She was told to leave the cave and she did not ask questions and she turned and left as quickly as she could. There were no other words shared and she just disappeared from the entrance, her mind unaware of where to go but her feet took her to the garden she worked so had on. She stopped and glanced over the dry dirty with a frown, her brows raising, unable to focus on it and instead on what had been bothering Kaena. The scents she gathered were not out of the ordinary but there was one she assumed she gathered while on the borders. The familiarity of it did not bother her and she was unable to focus on the scent for too much longer.

Vieira left the garden with no real purpose but headed toward the mansion, having remembered Kaena mentioned the greenhouse up that way. It had been suggested she use that for the herbs but Vieira chose otherwise. Being near the mansion ran a risk of seeing the other coyotes and her hermit nature told her otherwise. Close to the cave was safe for her but she needed to go up there to find a bucket BISCUIT or some sort of bowl to carry water in in order to water the garden she planted. She did not want to depend on the weather of Nova Scotia to keep her plants watered when she was used to the dry heat of Mexico.

Locating a bucket was not hard, there was several on the outside of the greenhouse but what made her move so fast were the voices she heard nearby. She was not a sneak, or a thief, but when Kaena was upset she felt a little flustered and she lacked any social skills to begin with. Adding the awkward and upset nature was not the best. She shimmied a bucket from its pile and disappeared before the forms emerged and she was quickly out of there just as fast as she came. But the direction she moved was not the one back to her garden and instead farther north than she intended, one she did not realize until the time it would have taken to get back was well surpassed.

Vieira did not worry about her location even if she was not sure where she was but it gave her a chance to find a water source for the entire purpose of the bucket in hand and some time away from Kaena. But her mind was not worry free for long when the scent she smelled on Kaena was not some stranger but one she knew very well and one that bothered her still to this day in her thoughts, dreams, and every day work. It was not as troublesome as Astaroth of Sivaro but nonetheless plaguing. And why she had never thought to see that particular coyote again was suddenly unknown to her. She lived in a place that was Eris' family, owned by her very own mother, and she felt stupid for believing she would never see them again until she angered Kaena enough to be sent away.

She swallowed hard, her fingers locked in a death grip on the handle of the bucket as she lingered in the trees, the scent stronger than she liked. Her feet were planted and her stomach was nauseous, but none of her thoughts worked to get her legs moving and she was stuck in place in the same area as her former owner.
