She often found that she was reluctant to venture too far away from Inferni. It was truly rare for her to travel to the south-western parts of Nova Scotia. All she needed was right here. She frequently moved between Inferni and Halifax, but aside from that she seemed to be far from the adventurous type. While she recognized and accepted this, the thought made her slightly sad. She desperately wanted to find a solid interest that she could share with Silas. No doubt they would find similar interests if they just worked to find them, but the hybrid girl wanted to be able to impress him with her knowledge and free spirit. It was just the problem that her spirit was chained and more tame than she had thought it to be. She had learned a lot about herself the day Samael’s heavy breath had been hot against her body, and she continued to loathe herself for what she had seen that day. She was, however, doing much better these days. Perhaps things were changing. She was feeling a part of her old self return – perhaps the confidence that had been lost for so long.

Inferni did not claim this area, but Halo did as she slowly moved towards the blushing horizon, waiting for the golden sphere to rise up and reveal the world. Ruby eyes glinted softly in the scarce daylight, but the blooming summer mornings were not as dark as winter’s. She appreciated the silence she found her, and moved soundlessly with it, her faithful sword resting peacefully on her back, in its sheath. Her movement seemed to hesitate then, oversized, copper hued ears moving to catch the sound of something approaching. There was no fear within her. Her only demon was Samael and his crimson stained eyes. There were enough enemies of Inferni in these lands, but he was the only creature in the world that she feared. Fingers brushed soft auburn locks away from her lovely face and she decided to wait and see who else was up and about at this hour. Not that it was an absurd time to be awake, but she seldom crossed other canines’ paths this early.
