The broken clock is a comfort

It wasn't easy watching Ghita in this state, though Mati would never even think that it was easier to be in the condition then sit and watch it. It pulled at her heart each time the other woman moved to adjust her bandages and as she tried to moved into a sitting position. Mati almost jumped up to help her, but it only took a moment or to for the older wolfess to lean back on the pillow that propped her head. Mati rose and adjust the cushion, pulling the corners gently to provide the most comfort. She did feel guilty for all that had happened, but there was comfort in knowing that Cambria was okay and that they were okay as well. Their relationship had been so fragile, but it was gaining speed and strength with each passing moment they spent together.

Mati returned to her seat at the other’s voice, it was easy to see that she was tired. It was only natural for her healing to take a lot of her energy. It was odd to think that simply laying in one place was draining, but the woman’s body was knitting itself back together, and it took time and effort even if none could see it happening. Most defiantly. Mati said, feeling the large bubble of relief fill her chest once again. The happiness often threatened to show in a small tear or two, the emotion so powerful. She was brave, and… Mati felt her thoughts trail, the feelings that resided in her heart swelling and wishing to spill out all over. she’s going to be just fine. She felt it better to be a bit conservative with what she chose to share. Still unsure how other’s would react I suddenly aware that the two were certainly more then just pack mates and friends.

The woman’s eyes flicked opened and Mati leaned forward in her seat once again, wondering if there was something that she could do. Her words were generous and full of praise. Thank you. she spoke with a smile. If you want I could give you a sketch pad, and you could try and practice. Maybe it would help pass the time. Mati offered, not sure what the other female would think of the idea.
