But you give me the electric twist

:o! 500+

She was so thankful for the way that Mati was acting right now. Cambria knew it couldn't be easy, after walking in and seeing that. But she had pushed that aside and come to her to comfort her regardless. It made her feel good, it also made her feel like she hadn't wrecked things which was what she desperately needed. She didn't want to think of her life without Mati in it. This time it was she that needed the reassurance and the shoulder to lean on. What had been exposed wasn't a part of her that she knew well, or really understood. It hadn't really shown up again until that morning after the barn incident. The larger female had made her pulse race in a different way, but one that she wasn't wholly unfamiliar with. Ever since then she had wanted to explore that with Mati, but she didn't know how. How to bring it up and talk about it had been a daunting task and she hadn't thought she could tackle it. Inadvertently, though, it seemed she had brought that conversation to the forefront here today.

The Church fey confirmed that she didn't want her to leave, and the girl couldn't help but sigh in relief. Embarrassment was still heavy in her chest, but at least she hadn't scared Mati off this time. She leaned into the other femme more, the soft fingers rubbing the fur on her arm soothing her. "Thank you," she said softly. It would have been easy, and understandable for Mati to want her to leave. She was taking the more difficult path of working and talking through this though, and while it was awkward, Cambi was grateful. She couldn't stand to have any space put between them anymore. She wanted them to grow closer, not farther apart.

Mati let her speak, and seemed to take in the words thoughtfully. Cambria didn't feel she was doing all that good a job of explaining herself, but she wasn't sure how to do so in the first place. It was really something that could be defined by words. It was all raw feelings and emotions that raged inside of her and needed to be expressed in a different manner than words. The girl though, with some of her excitement still lingering far in the background, that it would be much easier to show Mati than to tell her. She had no idea if Mati wanted that though, or if she felt the same things that Cambi did. Maybe she was only feeling them because of what had happened in the city with the pale Dahlian woman. Maybe that had changed something in her that just wasn't there in Mati. SHe had no idea, and was honestly afraid to ask. She didn't want to take a step backwards.

After some time, Mati spoke, and the Marino listened carefully to her words. The smile faded from her face, but it didn't seem to be from any displeasure. It looked like she was just trying to work through things too, and was finding it as difficult as Cambria had. When she said she had never felt this way, the chocolate girl wasn't sure if she meant that she had those same desires or if it was simply their emotional connection to one another. Maybe it was both. It was the two combined that had made Cambria's inhibitions drop and caused the thing to spark this conversation. She looked expectantly up at the older fey, drinking her words in, hanging from every syllable. There was no judgment in her face. Honestly she was just as lost in this situation. She had had that one experience, but it was nothing like this. Then she hadn't known what was happening or what it meant, and there had been no deeper emotion attached to it. This was so different, and Cambria was stumbling to find the answers as well.

As the larger fey pulled her closer, and said that she wanted her, Cambi's heart stalled for a moment. Mati wanted her too. Her slender arms wrapped around the other wolfess and hugged her close. That admission meant so much to her, perhaps even more than she had anticipated. It seemed to amplify their connection and dull everything else that surrounded them. Mati repeated the words that she had spoken before, admitting she didn't know how to put it into words either. Their eyes connected, and she knew they were feeling the same thing. Unlike her though, Mati had never had such contact with another. She didn't know what to do with those feelings. Cambria was no expert, but she had an idea. The heat she had felt before returned to her slowly, but she didn't want to move things too fast. Slowly, tentatively, she leaned her face up, her lips searching for Mati's. They could just start with a kiss, and see where it took them.
