Blue eyes looked to her daughter, the pain on her face almost too much for Anu to manage. Still, she pushed herself to be the leader that Savina and the rest had made her to be. Go help them. She said, knowing that they would need help in keeping the injured Dreamer alive. The taller wolfess rose unsteadily from her seat, pushed by the urgency of her mother’s voice and with a bowed head moved to help Jazper. There was nothing that they could do for the broken woman here, nothing that any of them knew of. They would need Savina’s help, and the help of another healer if they could find one. But she would need the cover and the sanctuary of the mansion. Cambria was the only one that knew of any sort of healing and she was trapped inside with Ehno.
The tragedy was trying to overcome her, playing with her emotions and squelching her hope. But Anu would not allow it. She would not let the possibilities overtake her and would not let the thoughts of loosing Cambria, or Ghita; for her injuries could still be life threatening. Then, as she turned back to the barn, its roof caved and broken, and before anyone had the chance to follow her orders, Ehno stood in the doorway. A body cradled in his arms. A whine came to her ears, and her looked to face her daughter, who hadn’t the chance to go to Ghita’s aid. The tears rained down her face, her cheek matted and slick. Anu moved to meet the male, watching as he brought her to the others that settled beyond the wreckage. Softly he lay the form of his niece on the ground. She knelt beside her, checking her status as best as she knew how. She breathed, and Anu called her name, Cambria, Cambria. Trying to elicit a response, anything from her.
