<3 Big Grin 300+

Although she probably had made it obvious that she was approaching, Conor’s mind had flown far away and was completely oblivious of her presence until her voice rose up into the warm spring air and slammed him back into his body as she pronounced his name. He did not stir and jump though. Golden audits turned to take in her gentle voice and the lilac gaze settled on her soft hues. He had always been fascinated by Bris’ beautiful eyes. It was a similar hue of lavender they carried, but she only had one. Her other eye held rich oceans, the beautiful colour of the sky. Or at least, he liked to think so. Fingers continued to dig into the crispy soil and tossed weed aside as he turned his gaze back to what he was doing. ”It is good to see you, Bris.” he spoke softly, allowing a weak—though genuine—smile dance upon dark lips. He recognized the soft warmth massaging the inner walls of his chest. It was happiness. He was glad to see her.

Fingers paused and he turned fully from the green life to gaze upon the canine. Company was never a bad thing, and he found that he hoped she had sought him out for other reasons than official pack matters. Life no doubt turned more social when you wore a leader’s title, but friendships had bloomed as well in the most peculiar ways. He found that he connected much better with those he surrounded himself with after Haku had been overthrown. This was not because of his newfound status, but because the dark shadow with the glowing blue eyes was no longer here. Conor had more responsibilities and work than ever, but he had never felt this liberated. Not even as a child by his mother’s side. Haku had always blocked out the sun. ”It’s a beautiful day. I’m trying to breathe life into Coli’s old greenhouse,” the boy explained lightly, crossing his legs and gazing up at the young woman.
