yeees! this was fun! ^^

It had been a greater success than he had imagined. They had worked together flawlessly and without argument. The hunt, once started, had moved fast and ended quickly and with the desired result. He had set out today only in the hopes of bringing a kill back home, but now he had accomplished more than just that. Nayati could also tell Dawali that he had made a good acquaintance with someone from a neighboring pack and that they had worked together to achieve the end of food. His friend and chief would be proud, he thought, and he was excited to get back home with the meat and to share the news.

Nayati nodded at her words and unsheathed the hunting knife that rested in the sling across his chest as she moved to allow him to divide up the meat. The instrument wasn't particularly cut out for the extent of the work that needed to be done here, but he would make due and work as fast as he was able. He would take the back half of the buck and she could take the front. The heart should be her's he felt, for she was the one to have made the final move and completed their successful kill. Before he started he smiled back at her. "And I never with one on four legs. Perhaps we will have to work together again sometime." That said, the Utina worked to divide up the kill so they could each go on their separate ways.
