It was fitting—and it made Sepirah all the more special as the sole granddaughter of Samael's litter. “Your mother was not a wolf?” the silver-shaded hybrid asked, momentarily confused—it could have fooled her. She saw nothing outlandish in the sable-shaded woman's appearance, although Kaena did think that Sepirah was some odd months younger than she actually was. “Inferni is the place to learn. You're family, and family is entitled to all the knowledge we can offer,” the woman said matter-of-factly. Her eye followed the younger woman's gaze to the snake, and the hybrid appeared intrigued, not recognizing the species as poisonous, of course—most of the snakes Kaena had seen over her lifetime were not threatening in the least. “It's very pretty,” the hybrid commented, though she did not edge closer to the animal. Despite her own interactions with reptiles such as this one, coyote instinct told her to be cautious of such a creature, perhaps some long cry to a desert filled with rattlesnakes, one the scarred hybrid herself had never seen, but nonetheless carried in her blood.
