sorry, been...bad.bad.bad.

It was not the best of days, that was to be sure. But the place was not one to be warm and balmy like those other places that came closer and closer to the tropical lines of the planet. They were as good as in the arctic circle they were not already. Not that Anatoliy minded. Not in the least. It felt more like home this way than any island covered in coconut palms could ever feel. Even if the latter was significantly more like a vacation everyday than a war for constant survival. Here, in Nova Scotia, it was more of a day to day fight with boredom, and not so much with finding a meal. Meat was plentiful and fish even more so. The Russo did not find much to do here, alone at least. He had more fun with his new found friends and family, though a few were the ones he wished to spend more time with. Anann was one of them. He did not quite understand what he felt for the golden woman, but he knew that he liked the feeling of it. Not that anyone would found out about it, not the way he was going.

As much as he wanted to go find that woman and just enjoy the presence of her company, he knew he would eventually annoy her completely if he always acted on that desire. So, instead, he lay on his side in a meadow, taking in the very weak sunshine filtering through the heavy clouds. It was not warming, but the air itself was not cold. He had brought a small cheese cloth, inside of which lay a pair of fire roasted fish with salt. Anatoliy had it half opened, revealing a pair of dark tails and a few scorch marks on a sea dwelling body. He stared at it, lost in thought. For some reason, he had taken two fish, as though his mind figured his feet would take him to a companion, Anann or not. Hearing movement behind him, he looked over his shoulder, plainly bored. It was a young girl, or younger than him. Then again, everyone looked younger than him when he towered over almost everyone. "Vhat are you doing over zhere?" he asked, accent still in his tone. His look was slightly amused, but it still looked as though he were about to fall asleep.
