The ground became slippery as leaves shifted under unusually large black paws. Decrepit sunlight strained from the canopy and dappled the ground of the woodland. A stream whispered a quiet melody nearby and a bird chirped from overhead. The clearing came up quickly, for the she wolf had not realized how fast her legs had carried her. She wished she could have said she expected the other wolf to be there, but she didn’t. Ever’s silver pelt quivered as she jumped when a voice broke the perfect silence on the halcyon. The distinct fragrance of Cours wafted through the air and calmed the female while the male’s words lingered. Her slim figure hesitated on the edge of the woods. This was still Miracles territory; she was sure so she felt like she didn’t have an answer. On a good day she would have said she was merely enjoying the sun, but glancing back up at the ashen clouds she discarded the comment. Her head turned to face the male for the first time and she was surprisingly taken aback. His pelt was made up of rich golds and browns that glittered in the faint sun. Eyes wide, his silhouette was firm and strong. The young female could instantly recognize the Russo scent in his mass. As she awoke from her daze, she bowed her head in embarrassment for she found herself staring. The male wasn’t much older than her but he smelt of another female, it was strong and recent and Ever couldn’t help a flitting glance behind him. Opening her maw, she realized she hadn’t replied to him. Just out for a morning stroll. The silver furred wolf responded truthfully, listening the chiming sound of her voice. The female cocked her head, metallic irises once again admiring the Russo.
